YES – the same for me.
In Version 4 works without Problems, now, the Unique Articel is enabled but not working.
I have the same pictures and articels on my homepage in the big slider and in the categorys
please help !

not nonsense. When you change major themes where image sizes changes, old modules are deprecated, new modules added to FIT NEW LAYOUT, etc. — then guess what, you need to ADJUST things to new site layout.
I think you have VERY unrealistic expectations on how WordPress works, and how themes work.
If you move to a new theme, the NEW theme cannot make your new site work exactly like the old site — show me a video of a theme doing that for you, otherwise your comment is more nonsense than mine. Not to be argumentative, but perhaps when you get more experienced with WordPress you’ll know better.
Cheers. When you change to NEW THEME, which NP6 is, you will have to make adjustments.
They have done great job of helping make this as painless as technically possible.
A theme cannot regen all your images, a theme cannot create new modules on your homepage and change your layouts in VC automatically – not everybody is using 100% identical layout — that is why you can customize it. Custom means unique. When things change in the foundation of the code — with good programming — this means block/modules and custom layouts need to be adjusted as widths, grids, image sizes have changed.

I really appreciate your hard work guys, and I want to volunteer in promoting your theme in my online communities.
However the layout and unique homepage post fixes must be provided as soon as … yesterday.
I am sorry about how all this has hapenned, it was kind of disappointing, given the large number of new features and the excellent overall theme performance.
Now I got a site with a very ugly homepage and several internal top grid layouts which are not working properly and are not responsive…

Could you please clarify one thing about the upgrade process from 4 to 6 about these steps:
Updating from Newspaper 4:
We recommend that you do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one. If you do a ftp update over the existing theme there may be issues. Please make sure that you delete the following files from Newspaper 4:
page-homepage-bg.php
page-homepage-bg-loop.php
page-homepage-blank.php
page-homepage-loop.php
page-homepage-timeline.php
Is the deletion of these files only necessary if you do an ftp update over the existing theme and therefore doesn’t apply if you delete the old theme and upgrade from the Newspaper zip file using WordPress?
Do you run the script you supply AFTER you activate Newspaper 6?
Is it best to deactivate all plugins except the Newspaper 6 plugins before activating Newspaper 6?

I couldn’t wait on a response, so I had to hack CSS for now.
Just drop this CSS into Visual Composer’s custom CSS on your homepage only, it’s under gear icon:
body.home .td-container {
width: 1086px;
}
That did the trick for me.
Apologies! I can make edit design options ONLY when I use the default theme. Although the edits are saved, once I switch to the theme upgrade, I can’t edit the blocks/modules. NO homepage as yet 🙁

It appears to be an issue only on the homepage, I have this block on a category page and it works fine. But on homepage, it seems to not have enough wrapper width to fit: http://i.imgur.com/c3ql5Lu.png
It seems that .td-container needs to be width: 1086px so Big Grid 3 lines up properly on homepage, but since it works on category page it might be another issue.

You have to remove theme via FTP and install the new one(the theme was practically rewritten ) and also the plugins that come with the theme files, you can find them it in the theme package inside the Plugins folder – http://screencast.com/t/lkrma6blYE

All worked well… few more query’s I have…
1. How can I delete the G+ and Pinterest button from top and bottom social share area? And how can I increase the button size and rename them and make the font bold or bigger? but I want them to be responsive on mobile as its not.
2. How can make the Related article post title bold? I looked for the option, but I couldn’t find it.
3. How can I change the Single Post Title size only for responsive mode?
4. How can I place the Video Icon on post thumbnail to bottom-right as it was in the older version? Or is there any way to remove it?
5. How can exclude page from search result… When I search something on my site it shows the page result as well along with the post result.
6. Is it possible to active smart side bar for homepage.?

În primul rând, felicitări pentru noua versiune grozavă a temei Newspaper! Am instalat-o de îndată ce a apărut și am configurat-o pe site-ul meu și arată super!
Cu toate acestea, am unele întrebări. Nu știu dacă sunt erori sau dacă nu am făcut eu ceva bine, așa că le voi înșira mai jos, poate mă puteți ajuta:
- Cum fac ca reclama „Article top” să fie centrată în pagină? În afară de Google Chrome, unde apare corect, în Safari, spre exemplu, apare mult prea în dreapta și este afișată chiar și sub sidebar (atât pe desktop, cât și pe iPad).
- Cum pot accesa din nou Forumul bbPress? După actualizare nu se mai deschide forumul: https://itutorial.ro/forum/
- Pot să șterg din fișierele temei tot ce este din aprilie și să las numai ce este adăugat în iunie? Am actualizat prin metoda standard tema, fără să văd că recomandați ștergerea versiunii vechi și instalarea celei noi, așa că mi-au rămas unele fișiere vechi. Am văzut că page-homepage-bg.php, page-homepage-bg-loop.php, page-homepage-blank.php, page-homepage-loop.php, page-homepage-timeline.php trebuiesc șterse și le-am șters, însă au mai rămas câteva fișiere vechi, cum ar fi Loop-timeline.php, vc_templates, less_files, rtl.css și altele, din aprilie. Pot să le șterg și pe acelea – mai este nevoie de ele?
- De ce unele resurse javascript, cum ar fi eticheta de la trafic.ro sau Descarcă de pe Magazin Play apar mari în footer – înainte de actualizare nu apăreau supradimensionate?
Cam atât deocamdată. Dacă mai întâlnesc ceva, actualizez postarea asta sau las una nouă :D.

Just click on Edit on your Homepage, scroll down past the content to the section where it says “Homepage Latest Articles” then click on the “Unique Articles” tab. Should be able to enable it from there.

I’ve just updated the site and it’s been a real pain to tidy it back up. I’ve got things working again but I’m discovering so many things which I preferred in the previous version.
* On the home page I use Big Grid 2 for the featured posts – how do I stop it from zooming in on the images? I can’t seem to find the option.
* Is there an easy way to change the font for all of the headers and the body font? Do I really have to go through the crazy amount of options to change them all? Can I change the default fonts somewhere?
* How to remove post meta on the first post in the Big Grid 2?
* How to show page views on the homepage using the
* How can I make the meta on the home page go back to how it was in the previous version (greyed out, clustered together). The new comment meta icon is too bold & distracting and I don’t want to show the author.
* Where can I find the option to remove ‘More From Author’ at the bottom of posts?
* Does the logo have to be exact width? My logo now looks like it’s been pushed to the right.
* Why aren’t section/widget headers the same colour as my theme accent colour?
To create this menu all you need to do have each item in your menu selected as a “mega nav”. Ideally, your categories in the menu have sub-categories in which they’d show up.
The example above would have categories like this:
Lifestyle
– Beauty
– Get Inspired
– Health and Beauty
– Sex and Love

Select each of the MAIN navigation items, and in the menu builder (Dashboard>Appearance>Menus) make sure each of these main sections is listed. For each section of the menu, go to the drop down for “Make this a category mega menu”. Remember, your menu should only include main categories, as sub-categories will show up as default.
