Hello,
Please make sure you update the theme plugins as well by deactivating and deleting the current ones you use now and installing them again from the latest theme package.
Also please make sure you clear all cache afterwards.
Thanks.
Hello,
The fix for this has already been implemented into the theme package. Please download the theme again and update your theme plugins to the ones included in the theme package. Disable and delete the current theme plugins you use and install the new ones from the new theme package.
Thank you!
In my case last time, it’s due to the Javascript optimisations (so if you minify your Javascript, or install a plugin to optimise your Javascript files etc). If you want to, exclude Newsmag Javascript file from being optimised/minified: themes/Newsmag/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js
Or if you have a Cloudflare, try turning off Rocket Loader
Also worth trying to disable Lazy Load from the Theme Panel to see if it works
Import the demo you want with content in Newspaper> Install demos. Then edit the page and its blocks with td composer and put your own content. Once done, just delete the demo content (posts, pages, categories and menu content). I am not sure if sidebars will import. If they don’t, you might have to create content for your own sidebars. (I don’t work here).
Hey Catalin,
I have done everything based on the documentation and I am using only your tools. I can’t find the solution because I don’t use to do that. I have cleaned everything with your proposed cache plugin And I don’t use theme child. I installed the theme yesterday first time because the website is new one. But I don’t know how to find js errors…
Could you help me?
Thanks in advance
It works perfectly on Android. I first thought it would be a plugin issue as well but it’s not I uninstalled every single plugin and then I activated the main theme and then I activated the child theme neither of them would function correctly. I did every possible troubleshooting that I could think of and still it does not work. Which leads me to believe there’s something going on within the theme. If at all possible would you please be able to login to the website itself and take a look at things thank you…
Option 1: WordPress 500 Internal Server Error due to plugins or themes
In many cases. WordPress 500 Internal Server Error occurs when installing or updating plugins or themes. If you know what plugins or themes are causing WordPress errors. You fixed 50% of the error.
Option 2: WordPress 500 Internal Server Error for installing or updating the plugin
If your site is buggy after installation or update. You can fix this by disabling or removing the plugin. Depending on the situation. There are 2 ways to do this.
Disable plugins via WordPress Dashboard.
If your WordPress Dashboard is still accessible. Please follow the steps below:
Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
Plugins> Installed Plugins from the left menu
Install plugins section in WordPress Dashboard
Disable plugin causing errors.
deactivate plugin to debug wordpress internal internal server error
Reload the page to see if the bug is fixed.
If not. Disable other plugins and repeat the process until all plugins are disabled. (or until the site runs again)
Once you’ve found the plugin that caused the error, try removing and reinstalling it. You can find the same plugin or contact the programmer of that plugin. Check out why it’s not compatible with your WordPress.
There are many situations that make dashboard inaccessible. In such a situation. You can cancel or delete the plugins. with File Manager located in hosting or FTP client such as FileZilla.
Navigate to the root of WordPress and go to the wp-content / plugins directory.
Identify the error plugin and rename that directory to disable it.
If your site is broken for installing or updating a new theme. You can handle this by changing your theme. Select any theme and click the Activate button to use it. Now, you will reload your site in the browser and it will reload the theme. This method will fix this. You can try reinstalling your old theme. or contact the theme provider for more information on how to implement it.
Possibly due to lack of memory because PHP values are not enough. It may also be the cause of the error. WordPress 500 internal server error. Because scripts and plugins may require more memory to operate efficiently. Also, when your site loads. The browser also increases the number of requests to load plugins, scripts, and content. When the memory capacity is not enough for the plugin and the script to run. WordPress website will be able to extract 500 Internal Server Error. So to fix this you can increase the memory and other PHP values by editing the .htaccess file.
Here are the lines you should add:
php_value upload_max_filesize 128M
php_value post_max_size 128M
php_value max_execution_time 300
php_value max_input_time 300
php_value memory_limit 256M
Hello,
Before changing my theme to newspaper I’ve been using external plugin to add ratings to my articles. After installing newspaper theme my ratings on google dissapeared. Is there any option to mass add ratings to my articles? I want some option which will be acceptable to google search results.
PS. Is in your opinion article rating important ranking factor in google? few weeks ago I got a big drop in google and I don’t know what is the reason. Can it be ratings?
Hello paologalli,
Please keep in mind that the best procedure to update the theme (plugins) is via FTP way. Simply, you should remove the old theme and replace it with the latest one and then, go to the Plugins section and install them from there -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HvaXyZ1r8ojZ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thanks for your understanding!
I bought & installed yesterday via FTP and everything is updated. I followed all of your how-to’s nothing more nothing else… I cleared the caches and the problem is the same!
In addition the slider is not responsive! I clicked the button to change and it is not responding.
Hello, I was in version 8,7,2, and even installing the new plugin and the theme update it does not work. I have seen the hours of support, however yesterday, you answered everyone but not to people who had problems with the update … and still today no valid answer. Many of us can not benefit from the complete update of the tagdiv composer.
Hello greenboxae,
Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, update all the plugins to the latest version of it, clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem persists, try to make a new fresh install to another sub-domain for testing and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello paologalli,
Did you have installed the theme correctly via FTP way, updated all the required plugins, cleared all the caches and the problem still persist?
Let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
I restored my site before the update and am waiting for the reply from tagdiv team.
Also please do not respond with the obvious suggestion of disabling all plugins etc , the issue occured by reinstalling the composer plugin after updating the theme.
Hey folks,
I have sent an email to contact@tagdiv.com etc, I updated the theme etc as informed, then I moved on to update the composer plugin ie replace the old one with new one from downloads in theme forest, I installed the plugin and tried to activate it and I got error : Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Access to undeclared static property: tdc_config::$group_params
I have sent my login details via email as well.
all i see on my site is Fatal error with the code etc. This is unacceptable. Any new update should provide an improvement not take you back, in all honesty this 8.7 update has been a total failure. You guys need to realise that your customers are running legitimate businesses and they cannot be having these issues. It is totally unacceptable.
I look forward to your reply to my email.
i did the upgrade and now i cannot see or upload media, most of my plugins do not work even if i reinstall them
i dont know were to start to fix this mess ?
Hi there.
I just installed wordpress and activated the newspaper theme.
Now I’m looking at some demo’s by tagdiv and for example I like parts of travel guides template, but also big parts of news magazine.
It might seem like a stupid question, but can I assume that I should best take the layout that I like the most (like the complete layout of news magazine template) and if I want the footer of “travel guides” then I can somehow mix and match that manually to reach exactly the same result ?
And question2: If I link from the admin panel to documentation and I look for the video tutorials, then it links me to a youtube playlist with all NEWSPAPER 7 video’s . The current version is 8. Are these version 7 video’s still usable or have some thing drastically changed and different in 8 ?
Hello Duvher,
1)Please update the theme via FTP way according to our documentation from here ->
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ because this is our recommended and the surest updating way for our theme.
2)Please notice that the problem with Facebook does not come from our theme but only from the Facebook stuff, sorry! Try to generate another Facebook App Key, ensure that key has been approved by the Facebook and it’s valid and clear all the caches and check the results. For more references to this problem, please check the following topics from here -> https://developers.facebook.com/status/issues/205942813488872 https://stackoverflow.com/questions/49417886/why-does-facebook-graph-api-say-my-account-is-non-active?utm_medium=organic&utm_source=google_rich_qa&utm_campaign=google_rich_qa – https://www.nop-templates.com/boards/topic/3388/facebook-integration-locked-due-to-recent-press-privacy-concerns
3)Sorry but I do not exactly understand what you want to achieve. So, if you need to disable the comments count you should disable it from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/GZ9NBxiFI -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Qjfz65wwh2p
If is not what you mean, provide more details.
Thanks.
Hello,
Please disable and delete the theme plugins. Then install them again from the 8.7.3 theme package. The plugins need updating too, not just the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can maybe place a div around the widget and center the div using css.
The Instagram widget was fixed in the current version though. Please update using this method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Please also make sure you update the theme plugins as well by deleting the ones you have installed now and installing them again from the 8.7.3 theme package.
Thank you!
Hello MDNM2017,
Ensure that your multi-purpose plugin is installed because the elements are there -> https://www.screencast.com/t/h1WlPTajL
Thanks.
Hello Timo,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can break the theme functionality and causes this kind of errors, sorry! Try to remove all of these, clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, I suggest you make a new fresh install to another subdomain for testing and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Alex89,
Try using the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS Area.
The code is ->
.block-title span{
background-color:#399998;
}
This is a quick fix. Also, I suggest you reinstall the theme via FTP way, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.
Thanks.
Hello flynewsgr,
It seems to be so strange, sorry! Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. Make sure that your theme has been fully installed via FTP way, all the caches have been cleared, purge CDN files and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
It still does not work. I have the same error in the City Theme … I have already reinstalled the WordPress it does not help … the remaining themes work.
