Hello @hasan-2 !
My colleague already mentioned above: https://prnt.sc/McpOr6CkBr1o
Also, you can uninstall the mobile theme plugin and use other types of mobile version:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
Thank you!
Hi Calin. Not sure if you watched my video or not. I am very familiar with the mobile theme plugin and options with AMP. I have used it on dozens of TagDiv Newspaper sites just fine. We only ever use the mobile theme for AMP … and we only ever use it for posts.
The problem is that posts that use cloud templates seem to ignore all the AMP settings (header, post template, footer). We don’t want that. We want the AMP version of posts to only show the usual mobile theme as configured for AMP.
In the AMP plugin, we have the following settings:
https://snipboard.io/I7N5Tm.jpg
https://snipboard.io/hFtCXc.jpg
https://snipboard.io/591vgk.jpg
Here is how we have the mobile theme / AMP configured in the Newspaper theme panel …
https://snipboard.io/dzHUZT.jpg
And here are the Newspaper mobile theme header settings …
https://snipboard.io/vsxzNl.jpg
Here’s what a post looks like on mobile using cloud templates (not AMP) …
https://snipboard.io/8EhYnw.jpg
And here’s that same post with AMP …
https://snipboard.io/4MjoNQ.jpg
Notice how the header is NOT the AMP header from the mobile theme? And the body isn’t from the mobile theme either … it’s from the mobile responsive post cloud template.
You can see that we’ve implemented AMP posts just fine before. Here is an example from another TagDiv Newspaper site … but it does NOT use cloud templates.
Normal mobile responsive post …
https://snipboard.io/56YDyw.jpg
And here’s the AMP version of the same post …
https://snipboard.io/ut1ATm.jpg
So again, the challenge seems to be implementing the mobile theme for AMP only and on posts only … but on a site that uses cloud templates for it’s normal pages.
What are we doing wrong? Or is this even possible? Thanks again!
Hello @jackb149!
In the cloud templates, you can add the ads when you edit the post with TagDiv Composer in the element called ” Single Post Content ” in the tab ADS. Documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/
Or you can use the element called “Ad box” from TagDiv Composer, and there you need to add the ads: https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/
In order to customize the ads on mobile, this will depend on the mobile version that you use. You can choose from three different options:
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
In your example, the last column is the column from the right(desktop). But, we have an option to re-order the columns: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-re-order-the-post-page-on-mobile/
Thank you!
Hello,
Usually, this happens with cache plugins. If the cache plugin does not have mobile support then the mobile theme version can be delivered instead.
The solution would be to use the recommended WP Super Cache plugin instead and activate these settings (especially the mobile device support): https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi,
First, I want to make sure that I was able to inform you of all data about the mobile versions that our theme can have.
1. Responsive version, this is by default when you install the theme and you do not use the mobile page or mobile theme plugin.
2. Mobile page/template this allows you to create with tagDiv Composer and cloud a different layout and set different elements for mobile and iPad/tablet and it will overwrite the responsive version.
3. Mobile theme plugin, this is a light theme version for mobile that will overwrite the mobile page and responsive version if enabled. The mobile plugin is also used as a template for amp version.
So when you have a mobile page/template this will be used instead of a responsive version, but if you also have the mobile theme enabled, this one will override both of them.
How to combine them? Yes, this can be possible, for example, the mobile page/template will apply only on that page or cloud template that is assigned. But what to do if you want to use a mobile theme plugin too? If you use the mobile theme, in the Gutenberg editor it is an option to disable the mobile theme in the current post/page, if you use the option, then it will use the mobile page/template (if assigned) or the responsive version.
So in your case, you can disable the mobile theme on the homepage -> https://i.imgur.com/NX57q4t.png or if you do not want it at all, disable the plugin or use it only for amp -> https://i.imgur.com/Grlz5Ee.png.
Here is also a video that explains all those -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
The amp was implemented to work with mobile theme, for more details please check here if you want to use it without a mobile theme -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/
Also, you have a very good score -> https://i.imgur.com/G3DhFux.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Vw3iYqN.png, and the site load fast.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/low-scores-on-mobile-theme-amp-and-desktop-pagespeed-and-gt-metrics-optimize/ and try this code ->
// Preload Newspaper fonts for responsive theme (main theme) function dns_prefetch_responsive()
{
echo '';
echo '';
}
add_action( 'wp_head', 'dns_prefetch_responsive', 0 );
Also, please check this post https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
Also, why can’t I use AMP without “Mobile Theme”? It checks the new version, where these errors are fixed, 3 times a day. No new version has been released yet.
yes, that option is selected. but; With “Mobile Theme” the site is very slow. Please check the JS part.
Because of these javascript errors, my site lags a lot in Google. I started getting errors after updating the newspaper theme.
Hello,
how can I add Mastodon to the social media icons in the mobile header. As far as I can see, these icons can be edited under Theme Panel -> Social Networks -> Social Networks, but there is still no Mastodon entry nor the possibility to add a svg icon like in the cloud template header of the desktop site.
Hi gang. Can we use AMP and the tagDiv mobile theme at the same time that we use cloud templates for our normal, mobile responsive site? Please see the video here for details. Thanks in advance!
Hello!
Uninstall the mobile theme plugin and see the changes.
Thank you!
Hi,
The AMP only works better with the Mobile Theme plugin, and you need to select this option -> https://i.imgur.com/U1pH6QN.png
Also, please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/ and choose what mobile version you want.
Thank you!
Hi,
Out of nowhere AMP started giving problems. I wrote here. authorized friend solved the problem with “mobile theme”. But; Google ranking did not improve. Good URLs are zero. I want to use AMP normally. Please help me.
Mysites : https://www.tatilpanosu.net
AMP : https://www.tatilpanosu.net/dorukkaya-ski-mountain-resort-incelemesi.php?amp=1
Now : AMP + Mobile Theme
i want to use : AMP + regular theme (no Mobile Theme)
Hi, don’t get me wrong, but much of the information you give me is outdated. Only in the theme panel, there is little that you can configure the basics, after what you could use before that you can no longer use templates for mobile phones from the cloud, there are only a few and a blank base. True I can look it up by the mentioned tool. The mobile model, OS or device type is not relevant, for that you have to use the CSS to adapt, but I wanted it for the drop-down option of the submenus. Thanks for the information.
Hi Bettina,
Thank you for a quick replay.
I’d say this is not theme customization. This is SEO/speed optimization and in my option this should be integrated within theme on both desktop and mobile theme.
It improves LCP.
There is way to do it via plugin but I think it is better to avoid plugins for such small changes.
Hi there,
I do not manage to work on tagDiv composer anymore.
The top bar looks weird and the composer never actually starts.
Please check the video:
https://www.loom.com/share/a3990b18fa33449b90ef25ca92a177c3
Also, please notice that ALL the plugins are deactivated but
tagDiv Cloud Library
tagDiv Composer
tagDiv Mobile Theme
tagDiv Newsletter
tagDiv Opt-In Builder
tagDiv Standard Pack
How can I fix this??
Thanks
It’s been a while since I asked question.
Some time ago I found the hook that works on desktop.
add_action( ‘wp_head’, function(){
$featured_img_url = get_the_post_thumbnail_url(get_the_ID(),’full’);
echo ‘<link rel=”preload” as=”image” href=”‘.$featured_img_url.'”/>’;
});
Could you suggest what to use for
$featured_img_url = get_the_post_thumbnail_url(get_the_ID(),’full’);
for mobile theme?
Same hook does not work on mobile.
On desktop I got LCP of 0,6 seconds which is great and shows my hosting and cloudflare works
In the Mobile theme, I was not able to see the post settings(https://yourimageshare.com/ib/XvMnHCv4zx.webp), and if I disabled tag composer, I was unable to access the theme panel.

Hello!
Unfortunately, we do not have any option to achieve what you need. I recommend you to don’t use the mobile theme with the cloud templates.
Thank you!
I installed the new tagdiv directories (specifically East Coast Check Pro). It looks great on desktop, but on mobile the mobile theme overrights everything, giving me a basic post/archive look, without all the needed ACF fields and filters.
Can I turn mobile theme off just for these directory and services/locations post types and taxonomies? (Note: this is a secondary feature of my website, so I can’t just turn the whole mobile theme off for everthing.)
If not, I have already figured out, how to add ACF data to plugins/td-composer/mobile/single.php using
if(get_field(‘field-name’)) {echo ‘<div>Pretext: ‘ . get_field(‘field-name’) . ‘</div>’;}
But how do I then add the needed filters to tdtax_services taxonomy?
Hello @ludyma !
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

Hi,
Please enable the author from Theme Panel -> Mobile theme -> Post Settings https://i.imgur.com/SCTEgoY.png Please disable the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin if you don’t see this section.
Thank you!
Hi,
To change the color you need to use a custom code
.td-post-title .entry-title {
color: red;
}
The code need to be set in Theme panel> Mobile theme> Custom code> css.
Thank you!
Hello,
Usually, this kind of problem appears when you are using a mobile theme plugin, what can be done in this case is to make sure that the mobile cache is enabled – https://i.imgur.com/XJ4aqqv.png this option should resolve the problem.
Thank you!
