Hi everyone,
So I have a somewhat similar issue. However, doing what otggamer mentioned didn’t resolve mine. I’m on the latest version of Newspaper 11.4.
Basically, I migrated from one host to another. Now, after the migration, if I go to:
Theme Panel > Header > Logos & Favicon, all the logos (desktop and mobile) are showing a URL of “https://wordpress-722984-2411204.cloudwaysapps.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/…..”.
There are 3 issues with that:
1) The URL points to a temporary Cloudways link. However, I’ve already changed my DNS away from the Cloudways temporary WP name to stluciatimes.com. I’ve already updated my permalink structure. I’ve also confirmed that all URLs are working correctly on my site. Therefore, the URLs should point to “https://stluciatimes.com/wp-content/uploads/…”.
2) The folders that the URLs are pointing to (year of 2018) have all been deleted. However, I have already re-uploaded a new set of logos.
3) Whenever I try to change the logos to the new ones I’ve uploaded and click save, all the URLs automatically go back/reset to the old “https://wordpress-722984-2411204.cloudwaysapps.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/…..” once I refresh the page.
Any assistance or ideas that could help would be awesome.
Thanks so much!!
Regards,
Rafael
Hi,
I have completely disabled the Google fonts from the Theme panel (https://prnt.sc/26lt2x6) and used custom fonts (self-hosted) (https://prnt.sc/26lt2u3) but, still appearing when I am checking on the page speed insight.
Check here: https://prnt.sc/26lt446
I am using AMP with Mobile theme plugin.
Help me to remove google fonts completely from my site. i want to host them locally.
We have had to deactivate your mobile theme. After removing the mobile theme plugin see below :
Home page: https://www.appmysite.com/blog/
Image sizes on mobile: 636×392 and 150×84
Category page: https://www.appmysite.com/blog/category/mobile-app-builder/
Image sizes on mobile: 636×392 and 150×84
Why are 2 sizes being loaded on both the above page types? Are these the expected sizes?
Please help out I have some queries:
1) If I use a separate Mobile theme (not AMP one, am talking about the Newspaper mobile theme) then will it have a bad SEO impact for mobile search results indexing?
2) Please fix this stuff (check video). AMP is not working properly. I want everything to be AMP now except Homepage, because for homepage I”ll set a new mobile theme
I’ve disabled the mobile theme, as a support member said through email said, from the Main Homepage and enabled AMP for all pages except Homepage.
Also, I’ve created a Mobile theme page and assigned it. But still, my Desktop homepage is getting opened on mobile. which is quite weird. And my AMP for posts and other pages is ruined.
Please help me fix these issues
I asked you if I can overrdie this template in child theme.
We want to add more data in mobile menu, such as logo and a html block.
Can we do this with a cloud header?
Thanks!
Update: I’ve deactivated the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin. I am still experiencing display issues on mobile with posts (header loading as plain text, images not displaying, etc.), but the result is much nicer than it was previously.
Please advise on solutions. The blog pages on mobile are still the only ones affected. Thank you.
Hi,
I’ll start by saying I’m a novice. I may use incorrect terms. Sorry in advance.
On my website (Newspaper Pro theme), I have an issue with blog article pages using the Mobile Theme whereas the other pages do not. I wish to not use the mobile theme as it does not display all my elements (my main issue), and the header/footer are not my preferred style (secondary). The issue is only present on blog articles. When you scroll to the bottom of any blog article on a mobile device and tap “Exit mobile version,” the page then displays as I would like. The home page and other pages properly display with no issues, as in they do not default to the Mobile Theme.
Any suggestions?
My mobile settings are:
USE MOBILE THEME FOR: AMP
MOBILE THEME ON MULTISITE: [not checked]
My website is: https://storybookamusement.com/
Thank you for your time.
Hi talkbasket, I think that this problem appear only if you have the mobile theme plugin enabled.
I will inform our developers about this.
Thank you!
Hi,
Yes, you can display for a page and posts the responsive version if you are using the Gutenberg editor. For this use the option from the right corner -> https://i.imgur.com/nAGJe7s.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
The mobile theme plugin provide 3 options:
To be used only one mobile, to be use only on amp and to be use on both -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
To see which one you have please check in the theme panel > mobile theme -> https://i.imgur.com/dcOvXdJ.png
Thank you!
Hi,
The mobile theme plugin do not have any options to change the thumb size.
Can you please provide a link to inspect and see what can be the problem with those image, because the mobile theme is using 2 thumbs and those should not be with that size.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi dimmisel,
If you are using a cloud header, then the menu can be assigned using tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/ACfP50w.png then the socials from the open menu can be set from the theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/RilGStr.png
Also, the file path for this -> https://i.imgur.com/YzOy26P.png is this one wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/parts/menu-mobile.php
Thnak you!
Hi columbusunderground, if when you click on the mobile menu and there is nothing happens, most probably something it is interfering with the theme option. Please make a test using only the tagDiv plugins and see if the problem persist.
If the problem is still there, then, please make a full backup and contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide as many details and screenshot you can and wp-admin access. We’ll check it as soon as possible.
Thank you!
To add to my last message, it appers that we’re able to configire the image size for category pages via the cloud templates section, but what about the mobile site theme settings?
Where is the setting that allows us to choose what image size to show on the mobile site theme? Currently it is defaulting to show 1536×864 on the mobile site category listing page.
Hello @positivenewsfoundation !
It seems that you use the Mobile Theme plugin, so you can not edit the pages with TagDiv Composer. You have only some settings for this layout, which you can find in Theme panel -> Mobile Theme. Please note that if a page is made by Composer, than the content won’t be displayed on Mobile theme version. You should create the content with the Mobile Editor.
We have 3 options of mobile versions:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
You can choose to use which one is more affordable and useful for you. For example, if you will deactivate the Mobile theme plugin, then it will loads the responsive version automatically.
Thank you!
Hi @anamaria,
Thanks for your reply but on the responsive mobile version, the colors I specified in the Theme panel don’t apply. I chose blue and I still see black on the menu and the search. Can you help?
Thanks
Hi there!
Please check this image
The AMP plugin is correct but my mobile theme page is not getting converted to AMP properly
Hello, I have a problem with my website (eldesordenmundial.com), I use the Romania News theme, and it has been happening to me for some time now that the mobile version does not respond, that is, the default header of the theme is displayed and on some pages it does not The whole design responds in general, it only happens in the mobile version. I need help.
Hello @iamratnesh!
When you use Mobile Theme then the pages will be overwritten by the plugin. In order to use AMP, you should install the Mobile theme and AMP plugin. Please make sure you downloaded the right AMP plugin which is installed and active and you’ve set the option Mobile + AMP. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
Thank you!

So, the mobile page are fully customizable with the TagDiv Composer(as responsive one) and they permit you to have different design than desktop. You can build and assign a mobile page for the page you need. Also, you can keep their evidence better because you can see them while you see the website in the frontend, also in Cloud Templates.
You can choose to use which one is more affordable and useful for you.
Thank you!
Hello Marius!
If you mean page speed, then you need to take into account:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors.
Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update.
As a suggestion, disable the lazy load animation. Other starting points to improve your website page speed are here:

– https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
Please check the tutorials from those platforms gt metrix and Google Pagespeed Insights and I’m sure you can increase the page speed.
Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Thank you for understanding!
Hello,
The background image and color for the mobile menu are set in the Theme Panel -> Theme Colors -> Mobile Menu -> https://i.imgur.com/9eYp5W9.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Ednt2zW.png

Hello @andreabacci7!
If you deactivate the Mobile Theme plugin, then you will see the responsive version of your desktop. When you install again the Mobile Theme plugin , then you can see his own template/layout/design with the settings from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile theme.
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Thank you!
Thanks for the exhaustive answer.
I just realised that I have no mobile page template, so that’s probably why I don’t see the page content when I use the mobile version.
I love the mobile plugin homepage, but I need to see my pages. The problem is that I didn’t figure out a way to recreate it using the mobile template, yet.
You suggested to deactivate the mobile theme plugin from the plugin page, I have a question about that: will I loose all my setting when I deactivate it?
Thank you very much, you have been incredibly helpful.
Hello,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activate and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activate.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Better deactivate the mobile theme plugin and see the results, and assign the mobile page for page, like this => https://www.screencast.com/t/lektAhyjd
Also, clear your cache.
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
