From time to time, on Mac Laptop only, it shows the mobile version.
I tested with 2 Mac Laptop, using Safari and Chrome.
I use mobile theme plugin.
How can I solve it?
https://www.twsillimanian.com/
I’m not sure but where the mobile responsive version is, but I think I’m using the mobile page one since I had to make my custom header, homepage layout in mobile, and category page.
I’m thinking im using mobile page because that’s the one I clicked on and edited, the button right at the top right in /wp-admin
Also I disabled the mobile theme plugin since I was thinking that was the problem. I disabled it earlier and the wrong homepage and header still appears. I tried it on phone, and different browser the same problem occurs too.
Hello
I’m using Newspaper Classic Pro blog theme, everything is all right, except for this:
on the mobile version appears a “Sign in” module when the user goes to the mobile main menu on the top right, where he/she can log into his/her account, but I didn’t create this module, in fact I don’t see it on the pc or tablet version of the website.
How can I eliminate the “Sign in” module from the mobile version?
Also, always in the mobile main menu, I can’t control the links to the social media, they don’t direct to the socials, but to the website home page instead. How can I fix them?
Thanks in advance
regards
Mirko
Today I accessed the live site, everything is good on the desktop version, but once I tried to see the mobile version through Developer tool in chrome it loads the wrong header and homepage.
But once I refreshed it a few more times and wait a few minutes it loads the correct homepage and header, how to remove the wrong homepage and header from loading?
Here is how it should look like: https://postimg.cc/1fJBNKyV
This is what the wrong homepage and theme looks like, it loads initially sometimes: https://postimg.cc/Hcw4WwSx
I sent the requested info, but I also see one of your folks sent me an email with the following custom CSS for the mobile theme, and it worked to solve the issue:
.wp-block-image .aligncenter>figcaption {
display: block;
}
Hello!
Probably, you didn’t select the menu from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile theme -> Header -> Main menu. If this is not what you mean, then please provide your website link in order to help you efficiently.
Thank you!
Bettina, thanks for your explanation. The mobile theme is really fast, but not very appealing. I think I’ll stick to the no mobile page.
Hello!
I just explained you above that you are not able to customize so much the mobile theme version. So, unfortunately, you can not move the elements on the page, but what you can do there is to deactivate some elements(show/not): https://www.screencast.com/t/mrZoW8PdiQUm
Also, with mobile theme plugin enabled, you can not change your footer.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If you want to use a mobile page, then you need to assign it to your homepage. For more information about this mobile version please take a look in this article: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Please note you should deactivate the Mobile theme plugin if you want to use mobile pages.
Thank you!
Hello!
I just checked your website and now all seems to work just fine.
This situation appear when you are using the mobile theme plugin and the cache plugin that you have does not feature options for a separate mobile theme plugin therefore do not know when to deliver the mobile version and when to deliver the desktop version.
We tested with our theme the WP Super Cache and with the settings from our guide this is working correctly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Or maybe you had this situation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/website-look-is-different-in-mobile-browser/
Thank you!
Hello @Lorlornyo,
If you mobile theme plugin, then you need to add the custom code in Theme Panel -> Mobile Theme -> Custom Code => https://www.screencast.com/t/St204VtFl3N
Thank you!
Hello,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
If I understood correctly, you want to have a different layout of pages on mobile, so you can create a mobile page, this is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
I upgraded to 10.4, flushed WordPress cache and browser cache (Chrome), and the issue is still there. On the post I have mobile theme and AMP activated:
https://snipboard.io/IrAGWn.jpg
In the AMP settings I am in “transitional” mode, and these are the settings:
https://snipboard.io/JqUBhX.jpg
And in the Mobile Theme settings, these are the AMP-related settings:
https://snipboard.io/yAvHFn.jpg
Still getting vertical photo captions in AMP version:

Any ideas?

The mobile theme now is on, so that you can have a look on it.

Hello,
I created a website with Newspaper theme version 10.4 and installed a mobile theme.
It works well on desktop with the desktop theme and mobile with mobile version theme.
The only problem is when surfing on the Ipad version. Every page and post on the iPad version are shown correlated to the desktop version which is desired, but the about and privacy page was shown based on the mobile version instead.
I try to do what has been posted on the Webboard and clear the cache but the problem still persists.
Kindly check, please.

Hi, at the moment I had to switch my mobile theme off—> no mobile page, because differently my website looked like the mobile on desktop too.
beyond that could you please answer these questions?
– On my android mobile the website is pretty simple with the grid at the top and the latest article after, can I change this by putting the latest articles on top?
– The footer, that I imported from my desktop template, looks different, how can I customize it? I add some text copying from my desktop version on the mobile theme panel, but the links didn’t work
Thanks
Hello,
I just checked your website and this seems to display on mobile the responsive version -> https://i.imgur.com/cDTMuYX.png -> https://i.imgur.com/LjFtawG.png
Usually, when the amp and mobile version have the same layout, you are using the mobile theme + amp plugin -> https://i.imgur.com/tlHypqR.png also when you are redirect from mobile on amp you have this option enabled – https://i.imgur.com/qyCPzya.png
Thank you!
Hi,
Indeed there seems to be a problem with the “Sign in/Join” on responsive version, we’ll fix this in the coming theme update. As a quick fix until then, you can try this custom
.td-menu-mob-open-menu #td-mobile-nav {
height: calc(100% + 1px);
}
css https://i.imgur.com/xq7MQ3r.png
Hope this will help you!
Hello there,
even though i am in love with this theme, i am facing a very serious issue with it, in its mobile edition.
I use the Black version Pro these last days because i wanted to update my websites appeareance (i used for a hole year the retro theme), and even though i did everything to setup my mobile edition in the post pages i cannot fix the logo and the appearance i designed earlier. I mean i do my post, i can see that it has the design that i managed to do, but after some hours it just turns to default by itself.
It s so frustrating and i dont know what else to do. Please help me my website is http://www.punked.gr, and i cannot do anything to remove the default black version pro logo, and use my design, and even if i do it will automatically change. (in case you need i can sent you my screenshots)
Thank you!
Google is the pain since they love to do these massive algorithm changes and expect all of us to it…or else. But they fail to let us know how to make these changes properly. This is why so many sites keep going under as they can’t keep up with Google’s demands and suffer in the rankings.
When it comes to the LCP thing, I truly think the developer of this theme is responsible as it’s their code that is keeping us from being able to properly preload the featured images. I can pretty much guarantee they will have another update by May 1 since Google’s new algorithm kicks in then.
Thefeedski:
Now you just have to focus solely on Mobile as Google is literally letting go of Desktop analysis and focusing 100 percent on Mobile. Sadly, the desktop doesn’t transfer to mobile, and one of the best test settings is to run for 3G phones as it’s better to run tests on slower bandwidths to see what needs to change on your site as the majority of phones out there still run on those.
Google will test on that basis also so while it’s great to run on the fastest bandwidths, reality shows that we need to test at the low end too.
Hello,
I’m trying to optimize my mobile theme since it’s scoring poorly on PageInsights. I have opportunities to eliminate render blocking resources, removed unused JS, and unused CSS. When looking at the files that it’s telling me to fix, they all seem to be ‘Minify’ something or another. Does anyone know what this is and is it important?
mydomaind.com/wp-content/cache/minify/14f92.css
mydomain.com/wp-content/cache/minify/84b1b.css
mydomain.com/wp-content/cache/minify/818c0.js
mydomain.com/wp-content/cache/minify/6d26d.js
mydomain.com/wp-content/cache/minify/14f92.css
Are the files they’re saying are slowing things down. If the file is needed, is it okay to have those load in the footer or should I keep them how they are when first installing the theme?
Thanks!
At this point I should probably go back to a basic free theme for mobile if Google is going to worry about that so much. What a shame. I figured an optimization I do on the Desktop version would automatically transfer to mobile. Guess I’ve got more learning to do!
I’m mainly curious if it’s the theme not optimized as well for Mobile or what? Should I go about finding a different them just for mobile users that has better speed?
Sometimes I see the mobile Theme plugin version on desktop, Is it just about WP super cache?
Hi, I’m using the Newspaper x theme but I’m having problems. I have a siteground hosting and for some time I have been consuming many cpu seconds. Support told me that the error is caused by too many requests: “225259 /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newspaper&v=10.3.9.1”
They told me to contact the theme developer to resolve this issue. thank you
ps. they also told me, in a second email that they detected a high number of dmin-ajax.php executions and from their system log they are all related to the theme:
“185.58.133.96 buongiornoconilcuore.it – [18 / Apr / 2021: 12: 21: 23 +0000]” POST /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newspaper&v=10.4 HTTP / 2.0 “200 34” https: //buongiornoconilcuore.it/oroscopo-amore-domenica-18-aprile-2021-all-i-segni-oggi-and-domani “” Mozilla / 5.0 (Linux; Android 7.0; HUAWEI VNS-L31 Build / HUAWEIVNS-L31; wv) AppleWebKit / 537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version / 4.0 Chrome / 89.0.4389.105 Mobile Safari / 537.36 [FB_IAB / FB4A; FBAV / 313.0.0.35.119;] “| TLSv1.3 | 0.848 0.891 0.892 – 0 NC: 000000 UP: – “
The main page here: https://www.frikurir.se
has a posts loop with a header type 4 to start with. The maximum number of posts are 20.
Pagination is set to “Next Prev ajax”.
On my laptop/desktop this work fine and I can move between the different pages.
On my cell phone (I am not using a mobile theme) the page freezes instead.
See these screen shots:
https://imgur.com/a/7yYrmt8
https://imgur.com/a/IB62EnE
After 20 mins it still hasn’t finished and just sits there.
How to solve this problem?
All settings are the same regardless of screen size.
