two different things. AMP has nothing to do with theme’s mobile theme. So, works just fine. AMP is a new endpoint yoursite.ooo/post/amp and doesn’t use anything from the mobile theme and only works if Google deems it ‘worthy’ to show to people in SERPS.

Good day Simion.
Thanks for correcting the missunderstanding. I guess mobile theme is not a proper option to use with Newspaper theme for the moment. It would be wonderfull to have it as almost everyones now visitors are mostly using (%70) mobile devices. Desktop version of the city is actually less important than the mobile version. Anyway…

I am not sure if that is connected but since you accessed to site with the credentials I gave here My “tagDIV Composer” not working no more. An endless loading circle comes up when you hit “Edit with TD composer” on top bar. I reinstall the plugin, did not help either. Also Unique Articles is not working either. When I hit “Unique Articles” on a page settings it’s takes me to same place and no where else like I never clicked…

That did started like yesterday or early this morning. Would you please check if you did any change when you accessed to check with Mobile Theme menu issue…

I created a new user cause I am not sure if here is safe to share these information.
Would you please take a look and tell me what to do.

Hi,

It seems there is a bit of misunderstanding here. When you use the mobile theme plugin, content for mobile pages has to be entered in the Mobile editor for each page, just as the guide specifies
https://www.screencast.com/t/s4CAC0te
Content in pages built with the composers will not be displayed. This is meant to improve the performance on mobile, keep things as simple as possible.
Please note that the mobile theme plugin is optional, you can simply deactivate it. Then the same pages and content from desktop will be displayed on mobile. The main theme is fully responsive and will adapt to every device.

Thanks

Hi,

I could give you a code to left align those images on mobile. The theme treats them like normal images in the post content, and automatically centers them on smaller devices
https://www.screencast.com/t/y2L0SjnOA

@media (max-width: 500px) {
.alignleft {
float:left;
margin-right: 21px;
}}

Enter the code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section, then check if it is working properly. Maybe clear the cache if the code does not apply after entering it.

Thanks

About the Visual Composer. That comes with the theme plugins. We never needed it actually. Will problem be sloved if I disable visual compuser?
Would you please come up with a solution. https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ just a show case not giving much solution with our issue.

Please tell us what to do to make Mobile theme works fine with links when mobile displays.

Hi,

The warnings seem to be related to the divi builder plugin and a child theme configurator plugin. These plugins seem to be causing the warnings. Try as a test to deactivate them and check if the errors are still present.
The mobile theme can be affected by other plugins. If you require these plugins, maybe you should deactivate the optional mobile plugin, and simply use the automatic responsiveness of the main theme.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes the latest version is 8.1, there is a changelog here
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
There is also a list of required and optional plugins here for example
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
I have tested the background gradient of the mobile menu background, it seems to work fine
https://www.screencast.com/t/f3Ot76Man4
https://www.screencast.com/t/c656l5iJ0J
Please note that of the mobile theme plugin is active, this has it’s own background settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/zglgS1ULYs
Other than that, most likely it is caching if the changes are not applying.

Thanks

Hi,

The same menu structure from desktop will be kept on mobile, when the mobile theme plugin is not activated. So the More menu item containing the links will be the same on desktop and mobile. The actual menu structure cannot be modified simply by displaying the page on a mobile device.
The only option to have a different menu on mobile is the mobile theme.

Thanks

Hello guys

I have noticed that whenever I open up my website, the website loads in fine but without CSS.
It takes a good few seconds for the CSS to load in, and in the meantime, the website looks ‘unprofessional and ugly’, so I was wondering if you know the proper way to load in the CSS in the header to load in alongside when a page opens.

I’ve Googled it and I was suggested to contact my theme developer as you might have some handy instructions ready or perhaps some suggestions to make it all possible, while not conflicting any plugin’s performance etc.

I am also using MaxCDN, but it still seems to be slower than expected. I am currently working on revamping a lot to make the performance outstanding (currently it’s pretty bad on mobile and just ok on desktop)

All help is appreciated and thank you in advance.

Firstly, I am not using the mobile theme. The theme is just responsive with the same looks as the desktop site. I have menu links in the desktop that exceed space, so I have to to put them in a “More” menu link. But I have vertical space on mobile, so is there a way to edit that to differentiate it from the desktop, even though it’s the same link structure? Thanks.

Hello chadsrl,

I have inspected your website for mobile devices and I saw that your menu items seem to work. Also, I notice that you are using the mobile theme and that’s why some pages are not displayed because you are using the Visual Composer for these and the mobile theme does not recognize it, sorry!
For more information about our mobile theme plugin, please check the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

The Yoast SEO plugin should not cause issue like this. This plugin is recommended to be used with the theme.
Please try to install the mobile theme plugin provided in the topic above, and also install the Yoast SEO plugin. Clear any installed cache and check to see if it works properly.

Thanks

Hi,

That is happening because of a margin from the demo you are using, for the top row containing the slider. There are two ways how this can be fixed.
Either remove that margin in the demo stylesheet
https://www.screencast.com/t/F23w24Dteco
Or enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section
https://www.screencast.com/t/QDGJd30Wz

.td-politics .td-slider-row {
margin-top: 0;
}

This modification will affect the desktop version as well. Before removing the code or adding the custom code
https://www.screencast.com/t/TXLmE6w2G3X
And after making the modification
https://www.screencast.com/t/2Zwc2ZI0jhpD
If you want the desktop version to remain the same, do not modify the demo stylesheet. Simply enter the code provided in the Theme panel->Advanced CSS in the phones section, so it will apply only on mobile devices.
Let me know if you have any further questions or need further help.

Thanks

Hi

On the site http://www.udvikling.fiskogfri.dk, the logo is partially blocking the top of the slider on mobile devices.

I tried the mobile theme plugin instead, and that was much better, but unfortunately none of my pages content work in the mobile theme?

I also tried this code:

@media
(max-width: 767px){
.header-style-3 .td-logo img{
height: 52px;
width: auto;
}}

And nothing happens

We are launching tommorrow, so please help!

Hey Catalin; forgive me but I am little confused… What do you mean with “untested” ?
I am talking about the official tagDiv plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Hi,

The easiest way would be to use a code like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/oVRouo3W
It will remove the footer on mobile, enter it in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS section

.td-mobile-footer-wrap {
display: none;
}

Thanks
