Hi, I’m trying to move css and js from header to footer in the mobile version of Newspaper (I’m actually using the plugin tagDiv Mobile Theme) using the method here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
I have also tried to put the code inside the function.php of mobile theme but when i go to load the website in mobile version i don’t find the css and js file IDs that i need for move them. I don’t even know if i can move the css and js of mobile version with the speed booster plugin.

In my site (www.videosupporters.com) I´ve got the Search function, that is working well in the desktop and in the mobile theme. In the Search function, it is supposed that the user writes the name of the countries or teams that have already related videos. As I don´t have videos in all countries or teams, in the menu of the site it is possible to see which teams and countries have already videos, in order that the user in the search function writes only those who already exist.

When the user is in mobile (and I have the mobile theme installed), I don´t have the menu option activated, because as you have explained in a previous support the theme can only put posts and not pages. As a result, I´d like to know if it is possible the following: reactivate the menu (I know how to do that) and, for example, if the user selects “Argentina”, it will open a page where are going to appear all the videos that have the tag “Argentina” (in order words, it is a kind of search function with a previous defined tag – for example, if the user selects the sub-menu “Argentina”, it will open a page with all the videos that have the tag argentina; if the user selects the sub-menu “Portugal”, it will open a page with all the videos that have the tag portugal; and so on).

I am trying to get some help from you guys and I’m finding even more issues and the old requests have been shoved of as if they don’t exist

I’m not sure what to do to get help as we are now stuck and may just have to switch to old theme before we find a solution with a new theme.

We like the theme but these issues reported by others too are really of concern and I hope we can get some information if they will be looked into or not

PS; please dont’t say to deactivate plugins etc as it has already been done and doesnt solve the issue

1: Images do not load when lazy load is on, you said its javascript error, we have dozens of people experiencing the same thing and only solution we found was to turn off lazyload which only fixes images issues, and only solutuion that was better was to downgrade visual composer.

I believe you say its compaitble with visual composer, so are you looking into this or not?

2: Speed has always been an issue with the theme compared to others. We have switched to 3 others before, its just that we like your menu more than anything. We have followed your suggestions aboyut speed and even use https and cdn but we see significant bounce rate and google analytics is really not cool. Other themes have worked way better with minimum issues… Is there something you can look at or you still leave it up to our guess work?

What is the solution? how do we tag these as they are not visible in websmaster tools

4. The mobile theme is not actually any faster either? so what’s holding it back… I know this is a vague question, but what I want to know is if you will look at our site to see as we are loosing traffic and so much bounce rate right from day one. I pasted all my stats to see and even you said it will stabilize it’s been almost a month and things are getting worse

I do hope to get a reply with solutions more than disable plugins and see speed test solution all that has been done, and nothing really works. I just feel I am trying to hold on to hoe that this is the best theme but am I wasting my time?

I recently moved my website to WPengine hosting. Site load time decreased significally without the need of caching plugin however there is an issue with the mobile theme…it is so good to leave disabled…
Desktop users are served mobile version and mobile users are served desktop version.

Talking with WPengine support, we tried many ways, starting by excluding the mobile plugin from cache but it didn´t work.
At the end, Wpengine support are asking wether there is/are sprecial file/es and cookies to be excluded from caching.

Any Idea?

Hi, I doesnt see share icons on mobile phones. I have activated mobile theme.

1) On PC version you can see share icons for facebook and twitter (http://svetobeznici.sk/dubaj-nasa-zimna-exotika/)
2) On mobile phone there are no share icons

Please, how can I fix it to see share icons on mobile phone version too. Thanks

I just bought, installed and set up Newspaper7, easily the best theme on the market. The mobile is also awesome. I am thinking about buying thrive leads. Will I be able to add a thrive lead box so people who visit my site on mobile will see the opt in box? I am really only concerned with the mobile side. Also I love the mobile plugin and how it looks, so i really don’t want to change that. Just looking to either have a pop up, or a box that I can put on the top, middle or bottom of page. The only thing I see to add code is for mobile ads. Just not sure if I can put the thrive lead code in this area. I hoping I can use thrive leads on mobile. Thanks in advance.

A category (including its sub-categories) do not have featured image as it is mere compilation of various circular and notification issued by Government authorities. So I have made following arrangement for showing it without image placeholder:

1. Selected post style 5 for single view
2. For search results and archive, I made following change in css:

Now my problems are:

1. The Category page of sub categories are not considering aforesaid css rules (for removing image placeholder place, shifting content to left, etc). Does I need to provide same css rule for each sub-category, if yes then how. Or there is any other way to achieve it.

2. Similarly, tags are also not following aforesaid css rules. It is to be noted that tag terms may be common for this category and other category which have featured image.

3. How to remove comment count symbol for this category and its sub-categories

5. The category below the result shows one category only instead of showing all categories selected for that post.

6. Is it possible to restrict search result from post and page and not from custom post type. E.g. I have custom post type called FAQ, in that I have created various FAQ (one FAQ is one post for it) on different subjects (considered that as database). That FAQ is shown on front end through shortcode in regular post according to subject of post. I want to search result should not show custom post type of FAQ but show regular post in which it is shown through shortcode.

7. The date shown in the meta data, is it published date or last modified date.

8. Is it possible to add news ticker in the mobile theme.

We just bought another license for this wonderful theme, our 3rd!

For some reason, the featured images are not showing up
on the home page, and category pages on desktop.

They are fine on mobile and on the actual post pages.
I am probably missing a setup in the theme panel, but I can’t find it. URL below.
