Issue resolved. Updating the main theme function.php instead of the mobile theme is working now for me instead. Wierd.

Thanks, I made all of those updates. My desktop speed is a lot better now but mobile speed was still bad. I tried the mobile theme instead but still can’t get LCP under 4 seconds, even when I tested with most of my plugins disabled. I’m on managed WordPress hosting so that’s not the issue.

I tried a few of your demos and all of them scored pretty poorly on desktop and mobile pagespeed tests. One shouldn’t have to do so many tweaks to get an optimized theme and website. These should come out of the box blazing fast and optimized for desktop and mobile.

Could it be that when your themes were made years ago when site speed and LCP wasn’t as much as a factor (and now LCP is one of the biggest site speed factors), that your themes were not built for this and now they are outdated when it comes to LCP, at least on mobile?

So what’s being done to fix this? I’m not paying a custom service if your products are outdated. I thought a year of support meant that you would actually get into the site to help fix this, like how Thrive Themes actually helps fix problems without sending customers to a pricing page when they ask a question.

What are your fastest templates that I can test out?

Thanks

Hi,

I have double-checked the element ‘hide’ buttons in CSS, and it still isn’t working.

My mum has just checked on her devices, and it isn’t coming up on mobile or her iPad.

Is it something to do with the Revolution Slider?

Thanks,
Georgia

Hi,
I just checked your website and this is displaying correctly, in theme panel > mobile theme, you have set to use the mobile theme on mobile devices and amp, therefore those will have the same layout -> https://i.imgur.com/G5LIes2.png
If you do not want to have the mobile layout on amp, you need to disable the mobile theme plugin and use only the amp.
Thank you!

Hi, I believe the same, since our developers are working to make the mobile theme better they should find a way to fix this problem too.

Hi ib4ud2014, I checked this problem with my mobile, but I can not see any black box, but this maybe it’s appear when you have a slow connection to internet.
Make sure that when you set a logo on mobile -> https://i.imgur.com/FreOBVT.png you set a logo with a low resolution that do not need to be resized. If you have a big logo it can be from it, until the logo is resize.
Let me know the results.

Hello !

You can do some changes on mobile theme. Please go into Theme Panel – Mobile Theme and you will be able to see that you can edit Theme fonts / Theme Colors.

At the moment there are no plans to add more customizing options to the Newspaper mobile theme.

Thank you !

Hi,

The Hamburger menu in mobile loses functionality when adding a VIDEO PLAYER to the Front Page. The website recedes, but the menu drawer does not appear from the left side.

This same scenario works perfectly in older versions of NEWSPAPER, so it is something new. It is essential to my business model that videos play when touched from the front page.

I have started from scratch, and installed the latest WP 5.42, Newspaper 10.36, and Demo Theme: Video News. No other plugins have been added that are not specifically included, except WP Super Cache, which is recommended in your System Status page.

The only change I have made to the Demo theme is to add a VIDEO PLAYER to the front page. Help! Thanks!

Hello,

For our site the mobile layout doesn’t default to AMP. It used to do that though.

Hi

I’m wondering if your developers could help with an issue with my site, it appeared after I updated the theme.

When you load my site on mobile (https://www.irelandbeforeyoudie.com/), a black box appears then disappears. It only lasts a second but it is quite annoying and appeared recently.

I’m wondering if anyone knows what the issue is?

Hi,

after upgrading to the latest version, my Instagram Link Embeds do not display on desktop anymore. Example: Link (at the end of the post content you see the Instagram URL)
If you visit the site from mobile it displays properly (mobile theme). I tried a lot and disabled all plugins except tagdiv plugins for testing but it did not help.

Hello Vlad.

The question is if the Mobile Theme that you developed, which is very good, will be upgraded sometime soon. The infinite load for mobile user (which are 80% ) on my site is a good feature that i would love to have on the mobile theme, and I think many user of newsparer are thinking the same.

I’ve now disabled mobile theme on my site, but if you read the post in mobile, the grafics are strange, and the font is way to small for a mobile phone reader. Please take this all as suggestion for the new version of the theme. here it’s an exaple, please read it from your phone https://www.rnbjunk.com/mtv-vma-2020-nominations-performers/

Thank you for your hearing and patience.

I’m just looking for a way to create a mobile version of my site vs. the desktop/tablet version but with more control and customization than what is offered with the mobile theme plugin.

Another question,
I’m trying to get rid of the gradient in the mobile menu and mobile search. I regularly set the two colors without transparency but I can’t get a clean color.
This is because every time I use it the page returns to the top, and it is very annoying for example in reading long articles and you want to go back to reading.

4)Unfortunately, the Infinite loading is not valid for Mobile Theme, sorry!

Will be available some times soon? And regarding mobile version without using mobile theme, when it will be possible to select which elements of the post should be loaded or not on mobile?
And when it will be possible to creat a different homepage block system that is different from desktop version?

Thanks
