OK, I got the header ad working on desktop by uploading your theme to another installation and then importing the sample data and pulling it from the theme panel

Another way it could be done, in the case of a small number of pages, is if there was a way to add CSS on a page-by-page basis.
i.e. I could add something like this:

.td-a-rec-id-content_bottom {display: none;}

Here is what I actually did to get the effect I wanted:
I set the 10 stories that I didn’t want the bottom ads on, to use Template #12
and in the custom code section of the Theme Panel, I did this:

.td-post-template-12 .td-a-rec-id-content_bottom {display: none;}

It would be great if you could add, say 5 custom Post templates, and allow a way to connect those post templates to a particular category or list of categories.

But for now, I made it work to do what I wanted. Lucky it was only 10 pages and not 1,000

Note we had this issue with client using another theme for an ecommerce setup, and the layout blocks for the home page used “ad” in them and so the shop home page had no products when viewed in browser with ad blocker.

For that particular project last year, I had to do a search/replace using Dreamweaver (any programmer text editor can do this too) to do a full search/replace of the entire theme folder.

e.g.,

home-adblock-one

had to do full search/replace

to change to something like

home-showcase-one

Then it worked. Bit of a pain. But it worked in this case since on that project the elements on front page of store were NOT ads.

Of course, with “real” ads, the adblocker will look at where the ad unit is coming from, the name of the image, the folder it loads from (eg., /ads/myadone.jpg would be an ad), etc. — so the CSS class alone might not solve issues with ad block stoppage.

4. My articles are now look like i wanted in fashion theme, but the problem is I have 20 articles on the first page (below the featured) but they repeat each other, so I have 10 latest articles twice on the on the home page.

5. I have troubles with right rail – I want to have only my widgets there that were setup before (and worked with every theme I had before), but the trouble is – first at very top of right rail i see widgets like: – social counter (and instead of widget I only see code ), – don’t miss (with very old articles for some reason) and this three widgets stick until I scroll through the first 10 articles (please refer to my previous question as this might be the issue I am facing) and then when I see repeated articles I see my widgets that I want to have in my right rail (also sticked).

I would like to have only my widgets on the right rail (that display ads only), and not to have any other widgets there, also I want them not to be sticky.

5.1 Widgets appear more or less correctly on the post page, but still there’s a problem, the widget at the very top of right rail is the widget that shows video, but instead of appearing where it has to be it appears at the bottom left corner.

Hello,

I fixed it by myself. I have another question.

I added few ads on the side bar, but all of them are marked as sidebar ads. When I set image for one of the ads, all of them has changed. How can I use separate image for each ad ?

It’s kind of strange. We just checked our website on 4 different iPads. On two of them everything is fine and on the other two the images are blurry. I tested not only our blog but also some other blogs using the newspaper theme including the theme demo.

It was the same with all the blogs: On two iPads it’s fine and on two other iPads it’s blurry. Maybe it has something to do with the version of the iPads.

it’s better to implement the hooks into the functions.php file vs adding another plugin (my opinion only).

Reason is latency, additional php overhead, and possibility of plugin introducing issues if not updated with new versions of php, wordpress, other plugins, etc.

However, if it works for you, that’s great.

Always best to add your own functions if possible, which is at least how we do it over here.

Any plugin that loads admin only CSS/JS functions on your posts/pages code, is a bad plugin where that should only be hooked into the admin panel and not your posts/pages, btw.

There is a simple function to remove VC from loading on post/pages, which we use, also.

But I’m not able with Facebook. I understood originally I did a mistake because I didn’t click to obtain the Access Token. Now I tried several times but I cannot obtain it. The warning say …please wait in red but it is still waiting.

The code it’s tested and works fine on my side.
Make sure that you added the file corresponding with the header style used and also check if the shortcode added in do_shortcode function is the one for the ad-spot where you inserted the ad-code in theme panel. Hi, asked and answered. Much like ecommerce has special needs, so does an advertising management system. So, like there is WooCommerce for ecommerce, there are also “systems” to manage users/ads, ad types, expirations, etc.

Hi

The theme place only header and article top/bottom ads in fixed position. The placement of this ads respect googles’s policy. Any other ads can be placed in many different places on post/page content but the theme won’t check if theirs positions respects googles’s policy. As for ads being displayed in sticky sidebar that is strictly against the rulesof ad-sense. You can check this topic from ad-sense support forum for more details:
