I would also suggest that you try without any plugins, leave only theme plugins active. Set a sidebar and check if the same happens.

Could be caused by a few things. In some cases the problem was the usage of security plugins or server firewall which blocked the cloud library plugin.
In other cases it was caused by using PHP versions higher than the maximum recommended 7.2.

First of all check your System status ( https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ ) you can increase them if it needed.
Second step please check that the extension of your image to be supported for our theme.
Try to force refreshing (Ctrl+Shift+R).
Then make a new post and upload a new image, and see it how it works.

We try to only implement useful settings in each theme update, all user requests and suggestions are noted and will be considered. Takes a little to get used to the theme, tagDiv composer and cloud library, but with some practice after a while you will get used to it.
If you have questions you can always create new topics here in the forum, or use the forum search function. Chances are most usual questions are already answered.

Regarding the issue with the demo install, if that message is displayed it could mean that not all the demo files were imported properly.

First thing to check is the theme requirements guide, carefully

Contact the hosting provider if needed so they can make the required modifications if needed.

Also it could be a matter of permissions for the uploads folder. That is preventing the demo from installing successfully. Try to set the permissions like mentioned here

If everything is set as the guide mentions that should not happen. Some cheaper plans offered by hosting providers may be limited heavily, that may not be enough for a decent working website with a premium theme.

Those would be the basic requirements of the theme, for most users they are sufficient. In some cases higher values are required however, depending on the rest of the plugins used for example.

Try to deactivate all your plugins as a quick test, leave only theme plugins active. Check if this has any effect.
If there is no improvement and not even the theme with only theme plugins functions correctly, then there still is a resource problem most likely.

The theme can be updated like other themes, nothing special about it. Updating the theme is not difficult to do, certainly it should not cause such major issues with the website.

The most recommended, popular and reliable method in general is by FTP. If you follow the steps as they are mentioned then there would be no problems

Insufficient resources can cause problems with the theme or theme plugins. Low WP-memory can cause 500 errors for example.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. I believe by default that menu setting is set to no preloading. Indeed disabling it will improve performance.
You can test your website with online tools, try gtmetrix for example or Google insights and check the results and suggestions provided there. Optimize as many as possible, results should follow.

500 errors could be caused by insufficient WP-memory. Your hosting provider should be able to increase it along the other mentioned parameters, if needed.

Does it happen with a different browser? Can’t say what could be causing the problem, could also be worth it to check if there are sufficient resources
