The reviews was built following the schema.org. You can’t click on stars, the reviews ratting doesn’t support user rating.
If you want user rating you can use a review plugin that allow user ratting.

How star ratings work, i have selected product review to yes, but when i view that post stars cannot be clicked. Moreover i want to use these reviews according to schema.org

Hi,
unfortunately there is nothing we can do about that. Google decides what to show and what not to show in the search results. The theme has meta info for reviews but that doesn’t guarantee that google will show your ratings in the search results.
For example for authorship support @google they have this information:

I’ve some questions about the SEO for Reviews for Newspaper theme. My site has only one review, which is on Stars (reviewed in stars). But, when I search on Google, it seems like the Rich SEO Snippets isn’t working at all! I searched with my post link on Google but it didn’t showed up. Can you guys tell me what is needed to be done to fix it?
On the other hand, I want my site to show links in details on google. Just like this:
I remember that the theme used to show my site in details (like the screenshot), but when I changed my menus to Mega Menu, Google started to show them normally like other sites!! Does the Mega Menu affect my SEO anyway? I’ve read that the Menus needed to be in HTML. So, that the Search Engine Bots can understand it.
Please help me solve this SEO problems, I really want them to be done.

When I look at other similar widgets they ask for various Twitter API’s e.g.API Key, API Secret, Access Token, Access Token Secret, so I wonder if the TagDiv widget is unusual for not needing this info?

The only thing they have in comming is these specific post use the defualt sidebar – checking the ads section in theme panel I dont ahve an extra ad in the sidebar except for one set of adsense code.
I could disable it and use a custom sidebar but I would rather try and fix first.

I can’t see where the issue is coming from and its definately not an extra ad I have placed in teh sidebar.
Showbiz this theme won’t even work on my live preview, and when i activate it everything is blank and i have to delete the theme in FTP – so I have a feeling something is missing in the download alright ( maybe the stylesheet but im not too well up on all this stuff).

OK i turned off Minify and nothing
I turned off W3 total cache completely, and nothing –

Ok i have reuploaded the Newspaper theme via FTP, and it is installed.
I have not tried to activate it again though as the same thing will happen.
A clue here; there is a problwm with the live Preview – it doesn’t work. When I press live preview, it tries to load again with the small grey circular icon for a split second then everything goes white.
IS it possible there is no style sheet maybe? ( i dont know much about this stuff)
In Newspaper preview the sidebar widget ‘Best Sellers’ has a nice image size aligned left, all looks good:

But when I add the Woocommerce Products widget to my store sidebar I get this, a smaller image aligned right and offset description. (header background set to grey by me):

Am I using the wrong widget, wrong thumbnail image?… In my example the thumbnail is set at 100px x 100px but Newspaper theme is 90px x 90px.
I am looking at code inspector for other clues…

Hi, this morning I updated Visual Composer and installed TagDev Speed Booster and since that time our images no longer pop-up with lightbox effect. I have Simple Lightbox installed and this no longer works and I ahve tried others.
Any ideas to get this wokring again – for example http://www.viewpointsandreviews.com/george-inn-molash/ these images are now opening in new pages and not light box.

Hi All,
We have recently migrated a website to the Newspaper theme here: Viewpoints and Reviews however, the website is experiencing an issue with the microdata no longer appearing in search results.
Previously we had GD Star rating installed and all of our reviews displayed each rating in SERPS. Now that we are using the integrated ratings on the Newspaper theme they are no longer displaying in search results. Is there a problem here and is it something that we have overlooked and need to activate or is this an issue with your side?

in your preview (http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/full_screen_preview/5489609) the line below the menu goes over the width of the whole page. in my case it’s just some “boxed version”.
How can i change that?

Can you please take a look as all I had dome was change the theme. It has been working for the last few years and I have found other posts here with the same problem. It is not showing because of this error as in WordPress forums and Google:
Error: No rich snippet will be generated for this data, because it appears to include multiple reviews of an item, but no aggregate review information.
Does the rating stop working if I simply don’t publish any? I bought another theme ‘Smartmag’ which works fine.
Am I able to totally disable the ratings as this may well fix the authorship photo?
