Great looking site. Is there an easy way to get the “Get Free Email Updates” box you have on the right side under your Let’s Connect. This looks great. I can’t seem to find it in my Elements when building the page. Any thought?

1 . To move the search to the left so I can insert another nav menu check
2. A way to the X to a spot that doesn’t conflict with extra menu. check
3. Got more than just one options but several Big check. and Looks great.

Now another question is that is there a need for a 2nd NAV menu on the right in the industry or multisite such as this. My network is going to grow pretty large and want customers and user to be able to navigate and make it simple and helpful for all to scroll around with no conflict. Check example. Left NAV bar is categories in site 4 i.e gadgets, phones, tvs, smart home etc.. in towards the middle but off slightly is search icon. then on the far right is the extra nav menu of the whole multsite, site 1,2,3,4,5,6 so that user can navigate there quickly without the nav dropdown on left under submenus. Because it will look odd on homepage of site under the home tab with list of sites. Look good on regular mobile.
Will it be better for loading purposes to use the mobile plugin that way I would have two different menus one you pc and one for mobile with the sites listed. But I don’t like the layout of the mobile because I want it to resemble the site.
Or is that where the industry is going to be more compact.
Let me know and keep up the good work. You guys are awesome and I am sure all the your customers and developers who bought the theme can agree. Can’t go wrong with this.

I’ve been using it since it was in beta quite a long time back, and use it on my own server with CentOS/Plesk, with PHP5.6, 7.2 and zero issues.
There have been known issues with some plugins — when the plugin has an issue; like Yoast having errors, etc.
Turning on DEBUG MODE in WP can help; looking at error logs for domain, etc. all useful.
(FYI – point about old vs new posts getting answered; repeat posts on same thread make the thread ‘new’ again, vs ‘old’ and the non numerical way they answer stuff here means if you “leave it be” it will get answered quicker; if you keep posting updates, or others try to help; it actually gets answered LATER… but I don’t work here; just been on here since 2013.)

Ah, by the way. Have only started having this problem since update to 8.6 today.

Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme, installed via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Notice that our theme works with wordpress.org and not dot com. update the theme according to our documentation because the Multi-Purpose plugin has been fully tested and should work as expected.

After updating to 8.6 and using the child theme the theme panel gives a 500 error. If I switch to the main theme it works.

it was probably a WordPress or Plugin update problem. I found out that my menu was simply deleted and this led to this weird look.

Hopefully a nice looking automated authors page will be integrated in the next update. As I said, I wonder, that is not part of this great theme already.
But back to my question: How can I integrate the authors bio in the authors box?

Glad you could achieve what you wanted. There are plans to improve the mobile theme functionality in coming updates. These changes have to be carefully picked so they will not interfere with the mobile theme performance.

First of all, you should make a full backup to your database to avoid losing your data. After you have made the update, you should install the theme via FTP way, according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/

After I updated to Newspaper v 8.6, all widgets are gone. Not totally, but moved to the “inactive widgets” area. A lot of work to sort them all back. Is that a bug or must it be?
After updating to Newspaper 8.6, my header menu is cut to half size. When I switch back to the old version, all is good again. I’m using header template 3. Please check my dev page here: Demo. Thanks!

1. I could take a look if you can provide a link to the page. I will give you a solution to remove that space.
2. So you want them to be vertically, I could try to give you a code to align them like that, as well a link to the website will be very helpful.
3. You could edit the page and set the border left there, for each column

4. Indeed the sub-footer will not be displayed when a page is selected to display in the footer. There is no setting to change this behaviour. It could only be enabled with a modification in the code if required
