You can’t blame it on the plugins or something else. The moment I update the theme I received the http 500 error and it was time consuming to fix the issue.
fyi: I tried, issue the theme.
I want to thank Tagdiv for a great time but I am going to find an alternative to this theme. Imagine I was on holiday I would have lost a lot of money.
Don’t put an update if it has so much bugs(based on my experience and the posts I see here).

The update provided improvements to the social part of the theme as well as various fixes. There should not be any speed related issues caused by the social icons. Clear all caching installed and CDN files if used. Please provide some more details about the issues.

For several months successfully using your theme, but after yesterday’s updates were popping something.
Guys, what is the inscription of don Corleone in the footer??? Asked the hoster of hacking and unauthorized intrusion was not. Said that the inscription is issued by the subject.

Hi updated to 8.6 – social icons work very well on mobile devices – but on desktop something is wrong – see example here on desktop only http://westbridgfordwire.com/collin-street-bridges-removed-january-major-disruption-expected/
Have cleared host cache – cleared CloudFlare cache/purge all – restarted browser ( Safari )
It works better in Chrome (except WhatsApp icon is corrupted )
Is it possible to edit ‘Share’ text to ‘Share this’ or similar?

Hi,
The Envato automatic update may not work properly some times, based on user feedback. You could wait for a while and try again, or update the theme by FTP for example

The theme panel settings will not be lost, they are saved in the database. As always it is recommended to make backups just to be safe.

Thanks for your support. But it´s not what I meant. The problem is that — I think since the latest update — de images which I placed in a grid (using block elements) are shown in a long vertical row. This is what it looks likes in the CMS: http://www.schooldomein.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/backend.jpg.
But the site shows this: http://www.schooldomein.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/frontend.jpg.
I made no changes except for the latest Newsmag update.

I do not recommend at all update to 8.6 my web very very slow load now it gets caught not always but every 5 times 1 the bar stays up thinking. I think it’s all for the icons because they have a “nice load lazy load” that causes a brutal slowdown in the loading of the web. I want the old icons with their instant upload, luckily I have not updated to newspaper 8.6 my other websites. Aside from that I have seen that there are problems with the AMP of error 500. Since I am very upset the page is very very slow, please fix the ultra slow load of the new icons.

i think the problem is the update Newspaper 8.5.1 to 8.6
all I tried just above did not worked
and i got to change templates as soon as possible on my website very quickly
i think the only solution is to downgrade Newspaper 8.6 to 8.5.1
can someone explain to me or give me the URL where i will find the tutorial to do a downgrade of Newspaper’s theme, PLEASE???
Elevas don’t update,
After 1 hour talking with my hosting company they were not able to solve this.
Recovering data means data loss. So I had to recover todays data first. Then recover data of my latest backup to download the previous theme version. Downloaded the theme(took me 15 minutes). Then put the recovery of today back with the latest version of this theme. I’m now deleting the theme manually and then I will upload the previous version of the theme.. Theoretical that should fix the problem.
One thing is a fact I am going to find an alternative to Tagdiv. I am running a live website with paid members. I expect from premium developers not to make a new version available with bugs.
My rule, that will happen only one time and never again and by the way their support has never been so special. But that’s based on my experience.
Good thing I do not update my main web that has amp. I have noticed that the theme has become very slow with the changes of the icons because a lazy load animation is applied and as I see amp problems … Could you fix it? The team says it’s fixed but as I see you say no.
With the new update 4.6 the social icons had lazy load and is very slow on Google speed had got 10 points down in mobile and desktop.
OMG this is really bad you know my site is a paid membership. I normally make a copy before i update something except for this time and bamm I can’t get my http 500 error removed from my site.
Even Cloudways are not able to solve this :S
No need to be sarcastic, Catalin. We’re not versed in how often to update our Newspaper Theme, since developers delivered us the site one year ago. We’ll follow your suggestion and report back.

Edited: There’s another problem. On the social icons of the top bar, even I chosed white color in the theme panel it stills appears black.

i’ve installed nothing else today but this ‘Newspaper 8.6’ update
i tried :
.disable/delete/re install TD-Composer from 8.6 file or 8.5.1 or 8.0
.clear cache (wp super cache)
.switch to main-theme
.restore my provider’s backup to the last time it worked (january 2, 2018)
Strangely, I cannot go back to version 8.5.1
Each time, I always find myself with this version 8.6
I tried an another older date, but it’s the same, everything goes back except newspaper version staying at 8.6, is it normal?
should i force an install with 8.5.1 files ?

I don’t know how to put the old default setting and right now is with icon bug in one of the choice, in other choices there are similar bugs, I use super cache recommended by your site.
