I tried to renew the Visual Composer plugin as instructed (add new plugin from the theme’s plugin folder), but ever since my website shows this error (see below). If I uninstall the plugin, the website works, but of course its styling is messy. Please help 🙁

I am trying to create an image slideshow on the index page of my website, abenakiextreme.com
I’ve updated to the most recent version of Newspaper. Then, in Classic Mode, I add the Image Gallery (which seems to be the most suitable Element to do this), to the module. Then I add my images to the Image Gallery.
The images all come out huge, and pixelated, which shouldn’t be happening, because they are each 2MB images.
I have adjusted the image size in the element (thumbnail, Medium, large), and the images still all come out huge.
How the heck do I add an image gallery in which the images don’t come out way too big, and pixelated?

I’m upgrading from Newspaper 7.
I add the zip to WordPress from the add themes in the control panel.
When I try to upload the theme, the installation fails:

We updated the Theme to version 8.2 to our Dev/test site, and it fixed the problem of the photo captions, so that is good.
Unfortunately as we started to work on updating things in our Theme panel, nothing is saving. All we get is a ‘spinning progress wheel’ – but it never finishes.
We actually noticed this in the old version as well, and hoped the update would fix it.
Please help asap!

Hello i just update my theme from version 8.0 to 8.2
But my child theme does not appear in theme options

When i update the theme then Yoast panel hide from all pages before update it was there.

I have a problem.
Since the update to wordpress version 4.9 the error message appears in the backend at Plugins -> Add New: “stdClass :: $ plugin in */ wp-includes / class-wp-list-util.php on line 150”
The error does not disappear even if I deactivate all plugins.
The error disappears only when I deactivate the newspaper 8 theme.
I use Newspaper Default Demo.
I hope you can help me!

The WPBakery version that comes with the theme is not the latest one.
This is why we are getting the update notice.
Would you please upload the newest version (5.4.5) of WPBakery for WP 9?

I am not very technical, I can only do things with the front end editor really… is this fonts issue not considered important as it appears to have been highlighted in Jan 2016? There seems to be two things here: 1) the fonts needing to be updated singly is not ideal 2) fonts still appearing after all the fonts have been changed.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the more fonts you load, the slower the speed? In a world where WordPress is already heavy, is it not a priority to try to limit unnecessary weight in a theme? Why has this not been addressed? And can you help me fix this please as simply as possible?

That is, when will your tested version of the plugin you inform, then you need to uninstall the old plugin and upload the updated?

It means you did not make the update properly and you still have the old version inyour themes folder most likely. The theme has to be replaced, not a new one installed along side the old one. Please use this guide to properly update your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

we switched our theme from nespaper 7 to newspaper8.
Everything is fine, only the sidebars make some problems.
We can see the sidebars under “widgets”, but every sidebar is empty. Where is the problem? We had about 35 sidebars before.

Hello! I received a notice to update the plugin, but it says I can’t update it, since I have no license key. What to do?
Sorry Chris, but this is not Envato’s fault. tagdiv is simply not delivering js_composer.zip in the regular WordPress install ZIP (in includes/plugins/) any more. If it was there it could be installed with a single click just like the new td composer.
BTW: The Evato update works well for me since 2 years doing 16 theme updates.
As the title says, yesterday i updated to Wp 4.9.
After that when i go to the widgets page, i cannot edit Custom HTML and Text widgets.
It is only showing the widget name and the buttons beneath (save etc).
This strange behaviour happens only with those two widgets.
Every plugin,theme etc is updated.
Could you help me sort it out?

I have purchased a plugin. “Hero Menu”. The support of that plugin has helped me with installing the menu. He had to implement the menu in my site. Now I’m actually not satisfied with the whole result (bugs). Is there a possibility to reset this to the original header? I have already updated the header.php (both in child theme and in main theme). And it didn’t worked it.

Eg. the sidebar widgets only appears after scrolling
