I have an update… it’s not the whole section as I stated earlier.
When I comment out just line 398, the problem is fixed.
wp_enqueue_media();
Hello,
I wanna do a change to the file Newspaper\includes\wp_booster\wp-admin\content-metaboxes\td_templates_settings.php, but in order to avoid losing the changes with the future updates I would like to use my child theme (already using it for functions.php).
Is it enough to copy the file in Newspaper-child\includes\wp_booster\wp-admin\content-metaboxes\td_templates_settings.ph and do all my changes here? Will it load?
I’m looking to update the theme but will it keep my settings once updated?\
my provider urges the update of the php version to 7 but newsmag isn’t compatible
is the new version compatible?
thanks
Hi,
If it needs to be placed in the head, insert in the header theme file, between the head tags
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VrkBzpze9
Any modification made directly to the theme files will probably be lost when the theme is updated.
You can make modification through a child theme, as this will not be affected by the theme update
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Thanks
Hi,
It seems like the content inserted in the text element and then in the tabs has a spacing problem from what I can see
– https://www.screencast.com/t/7zBMAL7kb5
The height of the element does not take into account the image size, that is how it seems. I have not seen this before, I could not say why this is happening. Either leave the empty spaces as it is now, or I see that placing a height for the text columns element works as well
– https://www.screencast.com/t/3W8qfoib9ptC
The other problem that is happening is very unusual. Deactivating a plugin should not reset the theme activation. Something is not functioning properly with the theme or the database.
You could try a fresh theme install if possible, and use only theme plugins at first
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
The tagDiv composer will automatically activate itself when the theme is installed or updated.
Check if the issue is still happening. Make a full backup before, just to be safe.
Thanks
Thanks, Simion. That is a really useful article — better than the ones I found. A couple questions:
1. If I add JSOD-LD markup to my posts or pages, will it get overwritten when I update the theme next time? I’m not working in a child theme… That article says this but I’m not sure if it is true for Newspaper:
To implement schema using microdata, essentially you will be taking your existing HTML and adding various attributes and possibly elements. You will need to edit your theme for the following examples. If you are using a theme created by somebody else, then please make sure you create a child theme, else your changes could be overwritten if the author updates their theme.

will you add RTL support in future updates?
I really love this theme 🙁
Hi,
Please read this tutorial about the theme update
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If you made modifications to the theme files directly, these will be lost. Everything else like theme panel settings will not be affected. Consider making a backup before you update as instructed in the guide, just to be safe.
Thanks
Hi,
Can I add JavaScript in the <head> section from the “Theme Panel” or shaould I edit header.php.
If I add the code in the <head> section of header.php, does it affect when I update theme via “Evanto Market Plugin”
Regards,
That’s en extremely ugly fix.
Any idea what could cause Facebook to be set to uk_UA ? Especially since I didn’t install any plugin nor use Facebook in anyway until now.
Before the 8.1 update, the Facebook embeds were in EN (if you remember the tests I made above) so… something changes now, for whatever reason.
showing Theme update available in wordpress dashboard then how to update newspaper theme while i don’t want to change my existing Customization.
Thanks
Hi,
1. I have inspected your website, but there is no problem like you mention with the block
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ONFPAc8g3Vff
The block is displaying properly form what I can see.
2. The version of Visual composer provided in the latest theme package is 5.2. We will provide updates for this plugin within a theme update. Each plugin update will be tested before, to ensure full compatibility. Do not update the plugin if you have a separate purchased licence for Visual composer, this could create problems.
Thanks
Hello,
I have quite a few custom blocks/modules/header/footer/topbars setup currently via a plugin. They display and are able to be used perfectly in Visual Composer. When I try to make a new page with the TD Composer though, none of the blocks are visible/able to be selected from the add elements section. Is this by design? Are there updates that need to be made to the TD Composer still? If I was able to select my custom blocks I could move away from Visual Composer. Please Advise! Thanks!
Hi @Catalin
I manage to update now to 8.1
Indeed, Facebook integration works now. But the problem I am facing is that the embeds are in russian, for whatever reason.
This has nothing to do with one’s settings or with the WordPress installation (as you can see, mine is in Romanian).
Here’s a link: https://esportsmedia.ro/trailer/the-archlich-of-naxxramas/
Here’s another: https://esportsmedia.ro/highlights/pubg/fast-and-furios/
Any idea how I could fix this / change the language to English or Romanian (as you have it in the screenshot above)?

Hi,
after update theme on 8.1 i have a strange bug with tagdiv slide gallery.
Look pls https://esthederm.in.ua/noa-kremenchuckaya/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Read section A. Update the theme via FTP.
Hello!
How to correctly make updates from version 8.0 to version 8.1?
By clicking on the link, I am redirected to themeforest.net. What should be done? Download and reinstall the theme? Will the reinstallation of the topic affect the content of the current site?
Hi,
There seems to be a huge padding set on the video element
– https://www.screencast.com/t/dDXt5cvp8iwi
You could try as a quick fix a code like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/IDC6dQsiLZZ
Enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS and check if it works. If you have caching installed, clear it after entering the code
.fluid-width-video-wrapper {
padding-top: 392px!important;
}
Visual composer can be used for posts, but this is not recommended. It should be only used on pages
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
The tagDiv composer is a front-end page editor and can be used for pages only
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
In future updates more options and elements will be added to this editor exclusively, not for Visual composer.
Thanks
Hi,
The website is custom made by the design team. I cannot provide you with the styling that is used for it, if that is what you are asking. You can inspect it if you want to see in detail how it is made, with the browser inspector
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Please note that more elements and options will be added to the tagDiv composer in future updates, something similar to the design of the post template you mention could be implemented as well. I could not say for sure however.
Thanks
Hi,
There are items that are affected when both editors are active. Each editor has it’s own functionality for some elements, and this could create problems on the front-end. If you used Visual composer to build your website, deactivate the tagDiv composer for the moment.
The transition to the tagDiv composer is meant to be as easy as possible, and they do share some similarities to make this happen.
Please note that the new page editor may not have at the moment elements that are available or specific to Visual composer. More will be added in future updates however.
Thanks
Hello,
You will have access to the theme updates and the theme support as we have not made any restrictions yet for expired support periods.
Thanks
Hello,
The envato market support expires after a period of time, depending on your purchase but we have not made any restrictions for this yet. You will still have access to this forum and our email address (contact@tagdiv.com) as well as access to theme updates.
Thank you!
