simion for the newly updated images this is not a problem i see only for the old posts featued images
I updated the theme to version 8.0 and that seemed to solve the issue. The header has reverted back to the way it was. Thanks.
Well, it really happened.
Please have a look at this just in case it’s a major error on your update.
I’m developing the site, and I fortunately have a recent backup on another draft website which is still showing correctly:

The updated version, showing “ugly”, with expanded images, no background images on rows, and no video backgrounds on rows, and even “stretch row and content (no paddings)” option not working:

(this second website was updated from 7.8.1 -> 8.0 and, after seeing everything was wrong, I restored the 7.8.1 version of the theme and is still being shown incorrectly)
You can see the row just underneath the banner, for example.
Please, have a deeper look & inspect it.

Hello Phil,
Please notice that layouts (1/4+1/4+1/4+1/4 and 1/2+1/2) are not recommended to be used in our theme because were not been tested. Also, in the latest theme version, the main page builder is tag div composer which do not allow to be used these layouts and all of these will do not be recognized. In the future, our recommendation is to use only our page builder because all of next future update and improvements will contain this.

Please try to disable all your plugins except the ones provided with the theme, clear any caching installed and CDN files as well. Then update the theme again using this method

Hi, I’ve updated my site from Newspaper 7 to 8;
The visual composer row element (with 4 columns or 2 columns) don’t work anymore in all my pages ? Is this a know issue with the update ? What should I do ?

They introduced their own composer, in the past it was WPBakery Visual Composer, now they added TD Composer.
I did clean theme update too, but now if i disable WPBakery plugin, some blocks doesnt work. I checked TD Composer, and indeed i didnt found Tabs block in the new page builder, thats why it is crashing.
Other than that is working ok for me

I have a valid license with tagDiv that I bought that had already been activated with Newspaper 7 and that now does not work with the update Newspaper 8. When I enter the information (buy code Envato, ID server and tagDiv key) that I request the activation form , It is not activated (in Theme Status, the legend continues that it is not registered in tagDiv). Thank you for your help in resolving this problem.

That should not happen. Please check your page in Visual composer and see if everything is like it should, and make modification if needed. Then simply update the theme and everything should remain the same. If not check the page with problems in Visual composer again and inspect it.

Hello I have updated lifenewscy.com to the latest Newspaper 8 and used the TD Composer.
Some problems:
1) Smart side bar is not working on homepage created with TD Composer.
2) I need to use Big Grid 7 (you can see it in the middle of the home page) but each block to display individual category. Is this possible?

I have really to say one thing: thank you tagdiv for the great update to v8.0.
Everything works great and no problems after i updated from v7. The tagdiv composer is great and adopted nearly all old vc settings. Just to edit some little things. And now the theme runs faster and lighter then with the vc.

didn’t get the slider revolution update with the theme update
After updating the theme, the home page works. However, when clicking a post, there is a short pause, then a white (empty) page is displayed. We returned the working theme version 7.8.1 in place and tested the site as working fine. Could it be changes to the Theme Code?

Normal activation will probably work if you create new account, but I already have one and it refuses my email. Should I wait till you add option to login instead registering new one? Is there any limitation if I run Newspaper without activation until you update it?

I’ve just updated the theme from 7.8 -> 8 and now I have lots of problems.
All (visual composer) rows that had a background image or youtube video don’t display no more.
The “Single image” blocks display images full-width’ed (when it was configured as “full” to view the image in real size)
I’ve rolled back to the previous /Newspaper theme folder but I still see everything out of place
Please help!
There is an issue with the manual activation and we will release an update for it. But the normal activation should work, we have tested it and I have successfully activated a client’s theme without any issue.

will I need to delete visual composer?
I am using list on my site where I placed the ads in posts manually with visual composer. Anyway not to lose this functionality?
additionally, my site have a few pages created with visual composer and ultimate add-ons. what will happen to those?
I want to always have the latest version of the site but this may be a problem for me.
