no, the missing style issue on install is from YOU trying to install the wrong zip file — this happens when trying to install theme from the “all files” zip vs just the “theme zip”. See the docs on how to install theme properly, or ask for help. You should start your own topic for install issues you might be having unrelated to another person’s issue.

A great trick I do after each theme update which really helps is
a) resave permalinks
b) use wp-optimize plugin to clear ‘transients’
c) log out of website; close browser.
d) launch browser; clear history;
e) go to home page and hit f5 again anyway to clear cache.

I’ve run into this a couple of times especially with newer versions of PHP running opcache on server for php stuff, separate from any other caching going on.

Current version of Newspaper theme if V 7.4 available now on themeforest. In theme’s path is also included V 4.12.1 of Visual Composer. The best way to make a clean update is via FTP method for both theme and plugin. Follow our documentation to update the theme via ftp https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and do the same with Visual Composer plugin. What device you use and how updated is the operating system? It is possible to be some issues if you’re using an older version of Android. We always test the theme with the latest versions of each browser, except IE, also the tests are made with the latest versions of Android or iOS. As can be seen from this screen your site works fine with Opera browser on mobile devices. http://screencast.com/t/qOSHBDoq0li The test was made with V 37.0.2192 which is the current mobile version of Opera.

I’ve tried it all again once via the filezilla approach in your guide and also the ‘Envato wordpress toolkit version’ both with the same response as before.

I really do not think its a issue with a file not being uploaded correctly as I followed both guides plus I’m sure the Envato toolkit approach must copy all the required fields automatically so any user error on my part should be eliminated.

Will you be investigating the issue anymore as I’ll have to update at some point?

Do you offer any services to investigate further?

@Bogdan-B – you really need to consider updating your post sharing buttons to reflect the rest of the updates on the theme. You’ve done heaps of variations of the social counter widget, but i think the post sharing options (both styling and ability to turn off/on different networks) needs heaps of improvement. Hope you can add this to the list and hopefully i will see this in one of the next few updates.

As long as you have a valid license for our theme you can download any updates even if the paid support period pass, there is no restriction in this regard.

My developer fixed the responsiveness but the text is still not showing unless I disable JQuery, though I need that plugin and it’s one of the more trusted pin-it plugins. I write paragraphs of text under each H title tag in the smart list and they’re not showing up.

I’m getting a notice that there’s an update to visual composer… my developer seems to think that’s the issue. How can I find the latest version of that?

This is often a permissions issue where the original folder is ‘owned’ by the server (or Apache) and so WP and FTPuser unable to remove. If you upload via FTP it will be “owned” by the FTPuser and can be removed/updated via FTP in future.

Ask your host to “change ownership to FTPuser” on the old folder to fully delete it.

This happens when WP is sometimes installed via hosting panel, vs installed manually.

I’ve tried to update the via FTP but there was error “folder is not empty”. So I changed name of Newsmag theme and then uploaded 3.2 version and it’s working fine! I have no idea what caused problem because I didn’t change any themes code lines.

It works now and it’s all that matters 🙂
