I’ve tried everything, the plugin reads the URL of the page, but is not counting the number of fans on the page.

I can’t seem to update the theme’s options at all. This started to happen when I upgraded to version 7 of the theme.
I’m using a child theme with no functions. It’s only to control the CSS customization.
The loading icons (the on with squares) keeps playing on an overlay whenever I try to save any theme options change made.
Can you please help?

1. Just update my theme to 7.1. My header was showing the mobile menu as well on the desktop view as well.
For now i have removed the below two lines from header.php.

2. There is a text behind my Logo, which is not disappearing. Please assist.

I received an email today that an update is available for the Newspaper theme. It appears that I am being asked to download the update. Can’t I simply update the theme in WordPress? Every other theme I have used in WordPress allowed me to update the theme from my WordPress dashboard. Please advise.

I’m in the process of switching my site over to https
I’m getting some errors saying certain images are not loaded with https. It looks like the images I uploaded through the Newsmag dashboard for different size screens, for example:
Where can I edit this to make them protocol-relative urls?
(currently using Newsmag version 2.3.5, will update soon, would that fix this?)

We are experiencing the same issue, just updated theme, Visual Composer and Social counter to v4.0 and I am able to get all my other counters working fine aside from IG. Shows followers at zero. Appears after I entered our IG user ID (abritandasoutherner), it is appending a # after the username. When you click the link it redirects to our IG page but the counter isn’t pulling in the appropriate followers.
Our site is http://abritandasoutherner.com and we have the social counter in footer and sidebar.
Ok, can you answer me please, it is a very urgent matter, and this is very irritating issue. On top of it, I can’t update the visual composer without money. If I check the zip file from Newspaper/includes, it appears that the file hasn’t been modified since 2014, although the Newspaper theme is updated to version 4.5.
Questions:
1. I see there’s a new update to 7.1. Would you say this is ready for prime time–deployment on a live site?
2. Is this compatible with WordPress 4.5.2? My WordPress panel is telling me to upgrade to that version.

I updated to Newspaper 7.1 this morning and now my site header is completely messed up http://darkhorsenews.com/. I tried auto update and manual update. Please let me know how to fix the header. Thanks.

Going forward from Newspaper 7, will I be able to update without breaking configuration of the theme?

since Newspaper-Update to version 7.0 (we are running 7.1 right now) simple links to a wordpress page generate a blank site with just the page title on the mobile-theme. For the desktop-theme all is running fine.
Any idea what went wrong?

We have done a lot of investigations and it seems to be a mini-bug in our theme in this regard. We work hard to fix this problem and in the future update, we will solve it, as soon as possible.

Please make sure you update your theme to the latest version by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and also update the visual composer plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
You need to also uypdate the social counter plugin in newspaper 7 as the old one will not work anymore.
The issue with visual composer was caused by the latest version of wp and visual composer under 4.11

In a future update, it is possible but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements, and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though.

I am not asking for support, I’m asking you to include this in the next theme update, as it is a feature much sought after (seeing the many requests for this) and it is not so complex to implement, contrary to what you constantly suggest.

In order to have access to that demo, you need to have the latest version of newspaper (version 7). Please update your theme by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and make sure you also update all your plugins that come with the theme: (visual composer and social counter)
Then you can install the demo from the theme panel demos section.
