Hi,

That would be the intended behaviour. The theme has a content container size, the background is set for the this content container. This space to be more exact
https://www.screencast.com/t/n9LZEL5c
It is not a background for the actual content but for the outer space. As the width is reduced the outer wrap space will slowly be reduced, until the content of the page occupies 100% of the available space. That would leave no room to display a background, there is no outer container.

The theme container width is 1068px, 1164px with a background set. A full HD image as you use would be sufficient as a background. Like in this example
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-2015-awards-all-of-the-best-and-worst-moments-from-the-show/

A rotating ads option does not exist at this moment. Adrotate should work properly with the theme, many users recommend it. Mayeb double check your settings

Hello,

There is no need to duplicate the flex block from the theme code. you can add as many instances to the flex block as needed on the same page. There is no limit on how many flex blocks you can add.
If you use a custom class for the blocks you need altered, you can use the class just on those blocks and you will not affect any others. Say you have 3 flex blocks on a page and you want just 1 or 2 altered, you simply place the class in the extra class field and the blocks will receive the css.
Example:
Let’s say we call the custom class ‘flex-custom’
You would add this code in your theme panel-> custom css:

.flex_custom .td-module-container{
border: 1px solid lightgrey;
box-shadow: 1px 0 20px #949292;
border-radius: .25rem;
}

Then simply add the extra class to the flex block you want to have the custom style:
https://www.screencast.com/t/BHgS1Qlh

Any other block that will not have this class will not get the style.

Thanks.

So below the header and above the page content. By using the page builder you can design any page with the content you want. If you want that section to be displayed on every page of the website (posts, categories etc) you could include it in the header template you are using maybe. Use the shortcode of the elements you want. Example with a block
https://www.screencast.com/t/sDQyDAtC
https://www.screencast.com/t/c5D8VynHx
https://www.screencast.com/t/HJAUVEYy
https://www.screencast.com/t/0UwGJGHE4

<?php echo do_shortcode('Shortcode here'); ?>

Other than this there would be no way I can think of to do what you are trying to.

Hello,

The standard background of the header on the site in question is yellow and then there is a custom css element added as a :before pseudo-element with a custom css shape added.
There are many css shape generators online: https://css-tricks.com/examples/ShapesOfCSS/

Thank you!

Hello,
I want to create a store on my site, like https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_tech/shop/

I also want to ask can I add Amazon, Flipkart and other affiliate links on the store?

For example: If someone clicks on the image, it direct redirects to the Affiliate link store.

Thanks! Rohit S

Hello Simion C.

I have repaired my website and the tagdiv AMP plugin fails.

If I use a normal AMP plugin, everything works fine. If I activate tagdiv AMP, AMP stops working and gives 404 error

Can you access my website and check it out, please?

Hello,

The background color of each block comes from the row settings in the tagdiv composer. Here is an example: https://www.screencast.com/t/L7OEznxcr

Thank you!

Hi,

First, to customize the font properties of the tags you can use the theme panel, as a general setting
https://www.screencast.com/t/8HXcSUCTo
Or in the tagDiv composer per block and per module even, example
https://www.screencast.com/t/BIbCqHb0

For the styling some CSS could be used, maybe something like this
http://prntscr.com/k1vxan

.td-post-category {
-webkit-border-radius: 5px;
-moz-border-radius: 5px;
border-radius: 5px;
background-color: #561FD4;
}

Per actual category would be somewhat more difficult with CSS, this code will apply to all the category tags. It could be made more precise, similar topic here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/category-label-appearance-on-block-1/

Let me know if you need help.

Thanks

Can i use your code <?php echo human_time_diff( get_the_time(‘U’, $this->post->ID), current_time(‘timestamp’) ) . ‘ ago’; ?> for post pages (single.php) sir?

I put

<?php echo human_time_diff( get_the_time(‘U’),
current_time(‘timestamp’) ) . ‘ ago’; ?>

on my mobile front page but i need the code to put on the single.php that will show timeago for individual posts.

just wondering about the difference between the two codes which is $this->post->ID

Also, There is a dash (-) inbetween the authors name and category name on my homepage(using the newspaper mobile theme), i dont know how to hide it and make the meta info closer to each other.

Also, how do i include the time ago on the featured posts.

my url is https://wizimatic.com (pls access from mobile to see)

The styling using “myclass” worked perfectly.

Hey,

Sorry for the late reply – but that won’t work.

That shadow, in the css, I’m trying to put around each article, not the whole element. Sorry, I should have probably been more specific earlier.

The problem is that if I do any of the above suggestions it will affect everything and not ONLY the articles I’m trying to make look like cards.

I think, what I need to do is duplicate the flexbox element and change the classes.

So for example:

1 flexbox at the top of the homepage
– let’s call it flexbox because it’s the default

1 flexbox lower on the homepage
– let’s call it flexbox2
– then I can change the class names (eg. .td-module-container-home2)

To make the end result looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/Q0TlIq4

I think what I need help with now is can you tell me how I can add a second flexbox? Or what files I would need to duplicate?

Thanks!

Probably need to share examples of WHAT errors you’re having.

Also useful to use Chrome Console view (F12) to view actual issues with your site, as seen by Google.

I believe the plugin has been set up according to the documentation you shared.

Till yesterday (when I was using the regular AMP plugin), I had AMP pages for all my older posts. However, since I installed tagDIV AMP, my website not more serves AMP pages – even for the ones that were there once.

This is true in google searches on mobile and it doesn’t work while testing by adding /amp to the URL.

In simple words, tagDIV AMP is not generating AMP pages for my website…

Hi

I have question, can you add feature which display similar posts at the bottom of every article by tag and if tag does not have enough posts then similar posts by category?

For example:

I got 6 similar posts at the bottom of post, but tag has only 3 posts so script will show 3 post by tag and after them 3 posts by category.

Hello samdyz,

Please make sure that your AMP plugin is set up according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/ Also, please be more specific and provide some useful screenshots with the errors regarding on AMP functionality.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

Did not know that author are limited in embedding, thank you for mentioning it. For user role plugins I can’t make any recommendations as I did not try any. Use the one mentioned in the same topic. Or this one for example

That is not possible with our composer. It can be used to design templates only, which can then be applied to posts for example.

You should consider to keep using Visual composer if you already used it previously for posts. We will provide the plugin and update it regularly, same as before.

Hi,

@m2hewitt
If that message is displayed, please update the plugin. There should be an update button in the theme plugins panel. Or you can deactivate and delete it then reinstall it from the same panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/z0cqhxsWx
After you activate it, please re-save the permalinks in WordPress settings.

Hi,

You could try to create and use a robots file to disallow them

Hi,

The blocks you add in sidebars for example, will show posts according to your chosen sorting
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
An automatic functionality like for example simply placing the block in the sidebar, and this will automatically display posts in relation to the currently viewed post is not available. Only the related articles section on the bottom of the post page has this purpose

Thanks

Hi,

For the dropcaps please check this topic, there are some suggestions there
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/change-list-number-color/

Quotes can also be colored as you make them
https://www.screencast.com/t/y4sB7txT0mIJ
Or all at once with a code, like this for example should work
https://www.screencast.com/t/Q4BVx2dNXhv

.td-post-content blockquote p {
color: yellow;
}

Custom CSS code can be entered in the theme panel, more abut it here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/

The theme offers a total of 5 stars for the reviews. There are three review options, stars, percentages and points. A preview of all in these posts
