Hello,
This happens because of the global header style chosen. Block template style 8 provided this result but this was fixed in more recent versions of the theme.
please either update your theme by using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ or change the global block template from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/rcPC3C8KB
Thank you!
Hi bob,
You should use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area if you want to change the color line.
.block-title {
border-color: red!important;
}
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
@mercure961 Something like this will do it for the authors box
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Q0btWsJUslI
It will apply to all the authors boxes once entered in the theme panel custom CSS code section. This is the code used
.td_block_authors .td-author-post-count {
display: none;
}
Thanks
Hi,
You can align the base currency left by using this css code:
.td_block_exchange .td-exchange-header{
text-align:left;
}
.td_block_exchange .td-column-1 .td-exchange-base{
margin-left:0;
}
You can add the code in the theme panel under custom css.
Unfortunately there is no way to have description as the base currency for all the exchange rates.
Thanks
Hi,
I see the page is displayed at the moment – http://prntscr.com/kqr7oa
There should be no problem importing a cloud homepage and setting it in the WordPress settings.
The issues with the thumbnails can be solved by regenerating them
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
That will recreate the thumbnails needed fro blocks, grids etc
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
For composer problems there are a few thing to check. First would be the requirements guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient resources most likely will cause problems.
If there is no need for modifications in that matter, in some cases the solutions from these topics worked for blank pages and other composer problems, you could give them a try if possible
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
Please let us know if there still is a problem and we will investigate more.
Thanks
Hello Ophilias,
1)I have inspected your website and I saw that your posts do not have set up featured images and that’s why the visitors cannot see the image on blocks, sorry! Please set up them from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
2)Notice that when you load an image at your page, you can set up the size from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/wMRjq0kJ56
3)You can remove the unused category from the panel, from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/qorRfucqSViX
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The category tag displayed in the modules will be the primary category of the post. Check the posts displayed in the block and that have the “A la une” to see how the primary category setting is set.
If it’s on auto select, then the first category alphabetically will be picked. Choose from the posts categories and set the primary category you want.
Check this post for example to see what primary category setting it has
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wZ3UcftGXa
Thanks
Those other popular sorting methods (all time popular and 7 days popular) are provided by the theme. They will work with the other block settings and pagination.
The all time popular simply needs to be selected and it will start working. Post views need to be active so the most popular posts can be displayed
– https://www.screencast.com/t/se3ZckCRSI5W
The 7 days popular has a dedicated setting in the theme panel that has to be active
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/7-days-post-sorting/
Post views also have to be active. Once the sorting is activated, the count will begin. As posts gather views they will show up in the block, grid etc. that uses this sorting.
One thing to mention is that this 7 days sort may not work properly or at all when a caching plugin is used.
Hi,
I want to show all users/authors on a page using TAGDIV COMPOSER.
I can only find the element “Authors Box” (with not so many options) to do this? Is that all? Or can I use one of the block elements to list the users instead of posts.
kind regards
Tomas
Hello
On the home of my website, the category showing in my post blocks is not the good one : this is not the one i set to be the main one.
Furthermore, the 2ndary category is one i hide in posts, so i dont want it to be on my homepage.
My website is : https://stephenkingfrance.fr/
The category wich is in the block but is not the principal category of these posts is “A la une”
Thanks for your help
Hi, on my homepage I have the Youtube block on the sidebar. I have to insert a code for each video and do it manually.
I just want it to show the latest videos with automatic update. Is that possible?
Hello vineetaggar,
That social icon has not been designed to be used for desktop and that’s why this is hidden from the desktop.
The code is here ->
@media (min-width:767px){
.td-social-whatsapp{
display:block!important;
}}
Thanks.
Is there a way to put the grid outside of the container? That seems to be the roadblock for me. Instead of going across the entire page like I see in some of the demos, it’s stuck in the container.
Now the website is fixed – http://prntscr.com/kqg6vy
The thumbnail is still the same incorrect. it should be like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/XVlB9oCzqUJ7
In your case a thumbnail is still not created properly for some reason
– https://www.screencast.com/t/zAirKd7Z5lPA
What is unusual is that the other thumbnails are created as they should, only this one has the problem.
Did it happen before when a different post was displayed in the block? What happens if you add the same block in a new page, does it look alright?
I could give you a code as a quick fix – https://www.screencast.com/t/eKRDo10Dfb6
Enter it in the theme panel custom CSS section
@media (min-width: 767px) {
.td_block_25 .td_module_mx17 img {
height: 455px;
}}
Hi,
Sorry, but I do not exactly understand your question! Notice that each block has set up by default 48px as margin-bottom. Provide your website URL and specify to what kind of row you are referring to.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi ,
I use Header Style 12 , thats support 970px banner.
I put my GA Auto code (or 970×250) but GA shows 728 px banners.
When I checked the code I saw this rows that are generated by theme :
if ( td_screen_width >= 1140 ) {
/* large monitors */
document.write(‘<ins class=”adsbygoogle” style=”display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px” data-ad-client=”ca-pub-0482243991094651″ data-ad-slot=”5269425833″></ins>’);
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
How can I solve this problem ?
Hi,
I know what you are referring to, but there would be nothing to do about that with a theme setting. The thumbnail used is bigger than what is visible, it is the same thumbnail as on desktop but reduced a little
– https://www.screencast.com/t/w2pG0RG39g
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tsf8MZmVAV9
So while the module is limited to a fixed value on mobile, the image will be larger. That creates the effect you mention when clicking on it.
I could give you some CSS solutions if this is required in this case. One would be to make the modules as big as the thumb on mobile
– https://www.screencast.com/t/trzr5LLz3t
For this, enter the code in here – https://www.screencast.com/t/4v5HtCAN
.td_block_big_grid_6 .td-big-grid-post-0 .td-module-thumb, .td_block_big_grid_6 .td-big-grid-post-1 .td-module-thumb {
height: 356px;
}
Thanks
Hi,
That is the author name, if “admin” is the user who published the post then that will be displayed.
The author name can be disabled in all those locations if needed. For the author name in the post page and author box the settings are these
– https://www.screencast.com/t/EagKd0su4
For the author name in block modules the setting is here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/TUmHv3zz
Thanks
Hi,
Let’s try to clarify things here. The mobile theme plugin is optional, nobody is forced to use it since it will drastically change the appearance of the website. You can learn more about it’s functionality here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Then decide if you want to use it or not. If you don’t use it, exactly the same content from desktop will be displayed across all devices (responsive version).
You say you entered a block in a page. The block showed up on desktop, but not on mobile. A link to that page would have been very helpful, so we can see it and test for ourselves. Post it now if the same happens.
The theme does not have any inbuilt page or post cache, so if a modification you made is not reflected in the website, that is most likely a form of cache. Cache by a plugin, a server cache, browser cache maybe others.
Provide links to the pages with problems as well, I will let you know how we see them.
Thanks
Hi,
What do you mean exactly by putting them in a block? The default reviews looks like in this post for example
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-why-tech-accelerators-may-soon-be-as-irrelevant-as-an-mba/
You can edit post templates with the composer, this is an option since the cloud library plugin was introduced a while back
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Using Cloud library templates the reviews are split into three different element, you can place them in any way possible in the post template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QDN0mzGMP
Maybe this is what you want to do.
Thanks
Hi!
In Visual Composer there is a plugin called Time Based Content. Is there any same kind of plugin or coming in near future to schedule blocks or rows in TagDivComposer ?
Hi,
For the moment there are no plans for adding typography for mobile devices.
As for the fonts, there are no setting to change the excerpts per block in particular as article titles can. The font settings title clearly specifies modules article title.
The excerpt font is handled for all blocks at once from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/zG8ZdKfB
Thank you!
Seems I failed to remember a critical thing here. Once the Jetpack sort order is activated, all other settings of the filter tab including pagination will not work
– https://www.screencast.com/t/iTTpdyziuWu
Best you disable the block pagination since it will not work, it will be useless. The Jetpack plugin will affect any other filter setting when this sorting is used. The block will display posts sorted thorough Jetpack, but block pagination will be useless.
Hi,
I see you use mostly flex blocks. Be sure to take into account when building the page, the mobile variant. For example while using four module per row in a flex block is fine on desktop
– https://www.screencast.com/t/clc9Uo96DDy
On mobile that will not look nice – https://www.screencast.com/t/ZC9Xzsisq11A
So while the mobile view is selected, choose for example one module per row
– https://www.screencast.com/t/O6GIVj28
Then on desktop there will be four modules per row, while on mobile there will be one.
Also the CSS tab margins padding etc are per device if you use them
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Zii5FqnV
If you use custom CSS use it per device – https://www.screencast.com/t/ndmigIDX
It depends on how you build the page, that will directly affect the mobile result as well. That will be the case with flex blocks. Th predefined blocks will always be automatically responsive, but the flex blocks will require more care when used.
Thanks
Hi,
So you are referring to the block in the top of the page. It should work if you follow the documentation for adding a new block and a new module
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/api-blocks-introduction/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/api-modules-introduction/
You can also experiment with the new flex blocks, these are highly customizable blocks that can be made to look in many ways. For example all of these are made with flex block 1
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/flex-block/
It is also easier to do if you use flex blocks.
Thanks
