Hello craigmc,
I have tested again the article inline ad on my side and everything seem to work as expected and as I have explained you above…it is strange that you cannot obtain the same result with this kind of feature and I cannot recreate your issue, sorry! Also, please ensure that you are not using the article bottom ads and please try without untested plugins because it could produce some interference in code’s theme and can broke the functionality of this feature. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and instal only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and check again and see how it works. After this advice, if your problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your credentials (wp-admin) so we can further inspect the issue and your page setup. Also, please provide a link of this topic so we can know who you are and what the issue is.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the message!
Hello Tagdiv team and Newspaper theme users. My hosting provider says, my website’s CPU usage is way too hight. After many rounds of optimization (disabling plugins, optimizing queries, heartbeat… I read a lot of stuff here and around internet + some tips from hosting company), we found out, that WP Super Cache plugin doesn’t work properly. No matter if I use mod_rewrite mode (legacy caching) or PHP caching, each time I reload any page (homepage or post), in the code we can see this line: <!-- Dynamic page generated in 0.598 seconds. -->
The “Dynamic page generated” line should appear only the first time a page is loaded. We checked, and the line appears on every page load. It seems that the caching plugin does not work properly.
Any tips how can I fix it?
Thanks.
P.S.: my website is http://magazeta.com
Hi
I’ve checked both of your pages and noticed that the theme use the full image in thumbs, not actually the thumb cropped at the specific value: http://screencast.com/t/Ye6GO99Grd In this situation the image it’s scaled down by css and because of aspect ration it’s not displayed fine.
Try to regenerate your thumbs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ clear all caches and test again. Like this thumbs should be regenerated for all images and also should be displayed fine in blocks.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi,
Unfortunately the js error is still there. I suspect the minification. Please only use cloudflare to minify your js and css otherwise errors such as this could occur. https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Also you should switch from w3 total cache to wp super cache as this is the recommended plugin.
Thanks.
Hi
Thank you for the reply, we deactivated w3 Total cache plugin, re-activated it, emptied cache, disabled & re-enabled minification (including Java Script) to see if that was causing any js errors. Now it seems images are loading again (I hope its not a temporary effect & they dont go back to not loading at all).
Would really appreciate if you take a quick look to see if you still see any js errors
Also, since images are now appearing, please see if you can help with my original query about all images loading together after a noticeable delay.
Thanks

Hello,
Your images are not loading at all at the moment because you have a js error. Please disable all plugins except visual composer and clear your cache (and reset cdn if you use it). Then you need to identify the plugin that causes the error and remove/replace it.
If you wan to increase loading times, you will have to optimize your page speed. Please follow this guide to do it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please verify that you meet the requirements for newspaper: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and also check your system status parameters and increase them according to this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also please switch from w3 total cache to wp super cache as there were issues with total cache.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello jeffkind,
Unfortunately, your plugin is untested with our theme and we have no idea about the theme’s behaviour with this kind of plugin, sorry! As you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/M00lXPwpoXBN we have a list with our tested plugins which the theme works fine and we cannot provide support or additional customizations for untested plugins, sorry! Please try to disable all the active plugins, clear all cache and instal only the plugins that come bundled with our theme.
Thank you for the message!
Hello Grumme,
This kind of issue might be caused by the conflicting plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule our the interference between untested plugins and our theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hello,
Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately we have no precise solution to your problem. Are you sure it’s the theme that overloads your processor? Please switch to a WP default theme and check your cpu load again. You can try to disable all plugins and check again in order to rule out a plugin conflict as well (also clear cache and reset cdn)
We have no reports of such processor activity when using our theme so if it turns out the problem is theme related we will have to investigate this more in depth.
Sorry for not having a better answer. Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
dear sir already deactivate all plugins and used WP Super Cache and this option from theme panel already enable if you want i send you my user name and password please i need to fix my problem
solved. The problem was in the plugin W3 Total Cache
Hi,
Please disable all plugins except visual composer and clear your cache/reset cdn. Then check your website again. If the problem is still there, please provide a link so we can inspect the issue.
Thanks.
Hello,
Please provide an example of this ad that is not displaying and how you are implementing it. Basically if it’s adsense you can simply place the ad in the field. If it’s not then you need to use this method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads/
The ads should have nothing to do with your previous theme.
You can also try to disable all plugins except visual composer and clear cache.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
why are you using nginx and apache at the same time? Use memcache only if you have setup multiple VPS to host your website. You don’t need a caching plugin if you use nginx. The configuration file can handle the caching of static content on VPS
Hello daoofdad,
I suspect that this kind of issue might be caused by interference between your untested plugins and our theme. As you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/HIgFptUnDiQ we have a list with our tested plugins which the theme was tested and works properly. If you are using some untested plugins, it could interfere with our theme and produce js.errors. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache, purge CDN file if you used and instal only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, you can try to deactivate the lazy load option from the Theme panel for better results, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/G7oCr6tZM
Hope this helps and if you need more assistance in this regard after this advice, please provide your website URL so I can further inspect it closer.
Thank you for the message!
Hello,
For the icons, the problem is generated by cdn. You can find a solution here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
As for the menu disappearance, there could be a plugin conflict so please disable all your plugins except visual composer and clear cache/reset cdn.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi
I can’t see any attachment here so please try to upload it again.
Meanwhile try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. Also make sure that this option from theme panel it’s enabled: http://screencast.com/t/rzrmTjAL47kG
Thanks!
It was one of the cache settings that was giving troubles to the search icon (Minify feature).
I’ll try with the menu item, thanks!
Hello,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and clear your cache. It could be a plugin conflict that is causing this border. (I could not see the left one, only the top.)
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hi
I’ve checked the indicated page and the author it’s displayed now: http://screencast.com/t/fOfrm3al if you still have this issue try to clear all caches then test the page again.
If this is not what you mean please provide more details about your issue so I can inspect it closer and get back to you with a more accurate answer.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. This will rule out a plugin conflict. If the problem is still there, you can try to increase your system status parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hi
I’ve checked your site on mobile devices and also on iPhone but i didn’t encountered any issues with he fonts. They are loaded on mobile devices as well as on desktop. IF you still have this issue try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.
If you still can’t manage to solve this issue please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and more details about this issue and we will inspect it as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hi,
9gag-greece no longer has this issue. After you add the code in htaccess, please make sure you clear cache as it will be affected by it and also reset the cdn files. (they update automatically after a period of time but in order to see the immediate effect of your modification you need to reset/clear them)
Thank you.
Hello,
The search icon does not work anymore (as well as your mobile menu) due to a js error. This is most of the time a plugin conflict. Please disable all your plugins except visual composer and clear cache and it should work fine again. Then you need to identify the plugin that causes the issue.
As for the menu item, you can create a custom link: http://screencast.com/t/GNxckduyl
It depends on the header style you use for the modification as the search icon is not positioned in the same way.
For example I used this code on my end:
.menu-item-57{
position: absolute!important;
right: 30px!important;
top: 50%!important;
margin-top: -24px!important;
}
for this result: http://screencast.com/t/PiL7y2m4d
This is on the default header style. Every menu item has a unique class. Mine was 57. Youcan use your browser inspector to get your menu item number and replace it in the code.
Thank you!
