Thanks!
Hello,
Recently we have upgraded to Newspaper theme version 6. After the upgrade, images are not loading on the homepage. We have tried deleting cache and other basic troubleshooting steps. But its of no use.
Our website is http://www.itolly.com
can someone help us here
Contact form 7, Ditty news ticker, Enhanced Media Library, Event List, iQ Block Country, Jetpack (just installed, I dont use it), Meta Slider, Revolution Slider (same as Jetpack), tagDiv social counter, WP Importer, WP Post Tabs, WPBakery VC (not updated), WP Personal Manager, WP Super Cache, Yoast SEO
Try resaving your home page blocks; clear cache, etc.
Clearing the cache then disabling all the plugins did not seem to work. Is their a way to figure out what is what is breaking the css/ a way to fix it?
Hi,
Try to use more specific target using the bellow css and also clear cache:
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-top-menu-full .td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block !important;
}
}
Hope this helps!
Hi,
The theme dose add and uses the data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAEAAAAMBAMAAABRpcpkAAAAElBMVEUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADgKxmiAAAABnRSTlMCFg8LBQd761rpAAAAFklEQVQI12MQAEIFIDQAwgAGByAEAwAUCAGRLNh3YwAAAABJRU5ErkJggg== to add this shadow under the menu: http://screencast.com/t/iIDQSe1MC which in your case missing because the css is broken as the url of that shadow image is altered: http://screencast.com/t/4PgntyABDPZV
It could happen due to a plugin as I can see you have other js errors in browser’s console so please make sure that you empty all caches then disable all plugins and test again.
You can see that using the right background image url under the menu is working fine so please test this as instructed and let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hi,
If you use Jetpack please disable mobile version and clear cache – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-manage-the-mobile-theme/
Thanks!
Hi,
The theme doesn’t add og:video to your site, it must come from a plugin that you use. Also the cache doesn’t ad og: meta, but if you disable all your plugins and you don’t empty cache, the page will still be delivered by cache, the settings will not be applied. So please check this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer and Seo by Yoast active, clear cache and remove all css/js minifications and then check again if you still have this issue. Also disable CDN.
If this doesn’t help please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-access so we can take a look, also paste a link to this conversation so we can know who you are and what your issue is.
Thanks!
Hi,
1. I see that you use child theme, please switch to the main theme, clear cache and see if you still have this issue. If it is fixed please make sure that you update the child theme version provided with latest version of the theme(version that you use), you can find it in the /code folder.
2. You can alter 404 template and modify it like you wish – http://screencast.com/t/s2DCUoVsnKdu
3. Please make sure that your panel settings are saved. For example if you change the module to display articles on specific category, it applies on front-end? If it doesn’t apply please check the system status for this value – http://screencast.com/t/VQxFWDGh4Gq and change it if you have access to php.ini file or if you don’t, contact your host.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please try this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, also empty cache and purge your files if you use CDN. Check if the issue is still there and if is not please activate your plugins one by one and check which one cause the issue.
Also please note that if you use jetpack photon, it could cause issues like this, we haven’t tested it with the theme so it would be best to disable it.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please also try this without any plugins active which might interfere with theme lazy loading animation and also make sure you turn off any js/html/css compression, empty all caches and purge files if you use cdn host.
Let us know how it goes and provide wp access at contact@tagdiv.com if nothing works so we can also have a closer look at this. Please also include a link to this topic if you send us an email.
Thanks
Hi,
Please make sure that you use the latest version of Visual Composer – http://screencast.com/t/MnvzH94gl and you have all elements enabled from Visual Composer settings – http://screencast.com/t/GA7GLkAAlQw You should be able to edit edit blocks that you use, just edit the page – http://screencast.com/t/HzA7T6xtq
If it doesn’t work, please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you can edit block settings. Let me know how it goes!
The theme doesn’t have an option to rotate banners and you will have to use a plugin for this. You can try a plugin like AdRotate or Simple Ads Manager that are used by many users and use the shortcode in Theme Panel > Ads spots, please check documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/
Thanks!

Hi,
My site has a problem when displaying on mobile. All the visual composer shortcode are not rendered correctly. I try to disable all the plugins and Clear the cache. Sometimes it work but sometimes the issue occurs again. How can i fix this.
I also use wpengine and have found their cacheing to be problematic sometimes, assuming you clicked the purge caches button right in the wpe tools section? Did you turn off the CDN temporarily? Did you also try disabling Object/Transient Cache from wpengine tools?
If none of that works, I’d use the staging area, install the newsest newspaper and demo data and see if its happening on staging as well.
it’s my website. http://www.muhendisbeyinler.net/ in a nutshell Engineering, Science, Physics, Technology …
i have’t use any cache sistems. fast or slow?
Andrei, I have tried turning off CloudFlare’s Rocket Loader and Auto Minify and everything else (turning off the plugins, like Hyper Cache). But the issue persists. I think it’s definitely a Newsmag 2.1 buggy. I sent the email. Thanks for the support!
Hi,
Sometimes it is not enough just to turn off the cache plugin, the page may not be refreshed, it remain cached. So please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN. Also re-set top and main menu in Theme Panel – http://screencast.com/t/kpQKhhk51a and save. Check if you still have this issue.
If this doesn’t fix it please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-access so we can take a look. Also paste a link to this conversation so we can know who you are and what your issue is. We will answer as soon as possible.
Thanks!
Hi,
I’m not sure why you have this issue. It seems to be a caching issue, if this works on other pages, so please clear cache and let me know how it goes. Also provide your site url so we can take a look.
Thanks!
Hi
1. I’ve checked your site and and found some errors in console: http://screencast.com/t/DttVdbJv They could be caused by some plugins that conflict with the theme’s js, so you can try deactivate the plugins again, leave just Visual Composer active, clear all caches, browser cache also, purge the cdn file if yo’re using and test again.
2. Try do disable lazy load and test again for the opacity problem: http://screencast.com/t/G9ndeOXVvBd
Let me know how it goes and if the problems persist please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your site login details so we can inspect this issue, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hi
On the current version (V2.1) the dropscaps should be here: http://screencast.com/t/XqB1epazjL so please make sure yo’re using the actual theme’s version. Also you can try deactivating all plugins, clear the cache ant test again.
Let me know how it goes and if the problem persist please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your site login details, so we can inspect this issue, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!

TypeError: this.on is not a function – tagdiv_theme.js:37:0 (newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.js)
Without solve this problems i cannot proceed to the final settings.
In this moment the site is online only with visual composer active. url: http://www.web-emprego.com
Can you help?
Thank you.
Hi,
Check your post’s editor panel for this custom fields section: http://screencast.com/t/0DOTl9ZxYQ3R then refresh the post a few times and check if the view counter increments. If it doesn’t then it means you use cache and that prevents it from updating so make sure you empty all caches then enable this option: http://screencast.com/t/aBYg7Xeft – this will bring accurate views counts event if using caches.
Let us know how it goes and if it’s not working please provide a link to your site so we can test this.
Thanks
Hi,
Please disable all plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN as I have checked your site and you have some js in the console – http://screencast.com/t/Af7FfMVJAxxr that may cause this. Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!
You may need to go in and resave your menu and possibly tweak it, as V6 is NEW theme from v4, and not an update.
Be sure to clear your caching first and any CDN reset — I had the broken search box thing where it either drops on to new line or doesn’t work, due to browser cache. Cleared both server cache and browser cache, then it worked. So be sure to do that FIRST.
