Hi Team,
I am using Newspaper 10 theme for my website https://weblroot.com, but having some issues while updating posts. I am using WP Automatic for some posts.

1. Posts updated with WP Automatic won’t show any images although being linked with a category.
2. Posts updated are getting categorized properly on site and are visible everywhere. How to properly set up as per the category.
3. I am using Total Cache for clearing cache.

Could you please check and advise where I am going wrong.

Hi tagdiv team,

We have been receiving 508 server error – resources limit reached on a regular basis. The Apache server the website is hosted on has 2GB of RAM, the memory limit is set to 128M, max memory limit is set to 256M, max execution time is 1500, max input vars 2000, PHP version is version 7.4, MySQL version 5.6.43, and everything but the caching plugin (which is yellow because we are using W3TC because wp super cache was breaking our home page) is green in the Newspaper system status page.

Despite all of the above and after collaborating with the hosting company, we are still getting server 508 errors, and by that I mean at least once every 3 or 4 days. Other times this can happen as often as twice or thrice in a day. Usually this happens when there is an editor (logged in user) creating new content (posts) and the number of concurrent visitors is over 100 on average.

We have followed your guide as found here ( https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ ) and are already considering upgrading to a better hosting plan, but are interested in ruling out possible mis-configurations with the theme itself. We are also considering using the heartbeat control plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/heartbeat-control/ ) and would like to hear your input on this; do you believe it could make things any better with regards to the server load caused by the logged in editors?

We have seen in other but similar forum posts you are occasionally offering wp-admin-level and server-back-end-level support by being contacted at the contact@tagdiv.com email of yours, with a reference to the thread and login credentials. We are wondering whether this might be an option in our case also, as we have been puzzled for a long time with the repeating issue we are experiencing.

Otherwise, please share any other insight we might be overlooking. Like some theme setting which may be overloading the server and which is not absolutely necessary for the theme to run.

Please get back to us as soon as possible. We are eagerly looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Hello,
I tried to update my theme to the latest version but when installing plugins TD composer install failed. I tried to do that manually i get this message while uploading .zip file: “The link you followed has expired.”

In checking system status, i found that some PHP values need to be increased. My host support team did that but i still get a ‘PHP Memory Limit need to be increased to 128 mb) even if it is already done.

https://ibb.co/T8b3BTS

I’ve deactivated plugins excepts tagdiv plugins, deleted the cache using a cache plugin but nothing has changing.

Your help will be appreciated
Regards

hi..I installed the necessary plugins for amp. Both mobile plugin and amp plugin from theme plugins. I want the mobile version of my site to be fast. As a result, I want all mobile pages to output as amp. I choose the standard one from the amp plugin and it constantly chooses the transitional even though I delete the cache plugin and the browser’s cache. and the option “redirect mobile users to amp page” appears and I say redirect. But when this happens, when I enter the normal address of my site from my phone; the normal mobile site is opening then suddenly redirected to the amp site! and all my pages’extension of my page it looks like ?amp=1 . The speed drops very badly when directed! My mobile site with amp is 30-40 while pagespeed is exiting desktop 88?!?!?! Please help or I’ll commit suicide 🙁 hown can i change ?amp=1 to ?amp
and how can i choose standart mode in amp plugin.

Hello @shawshawshaw!

Normally, this need to work like in this video: https://www.screencast.com/t/c3rExfqkjq2
If this is not working for you, then you need to start looking about a plugin conflict.
Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If this problem is not solved after that, then we need to take a look and see what happened there.
Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– a link to this topic in order to identify you
Our team will take a look!

Thank you!

When marking links inside of posts as “no follow” they seem to reset, and don’t save.

I’ve tried new browsers, clearing my cache, saving and updating after each link change and it seems to be working inconsistently at best.

Has anyone else dealt with this? I searched through the forum and didn’t see any threads talking about this.

I have Newspaper 10.2. I wish to disable breadcrumbs. I have been to Theme Panel/Template Settings/Breadcrumbs and turned off all the options there. I have cleared the cache, shut down and cleared the browser, restarted the PC…and still the breadcrumbs remain unchanged. I have looked through Forum entries and they mostly refer to the settings above. I am not a coder or software guru…can you help please?
If I cannot turn them off, how do I control the content of the breadcrumbs? There are categories I do not want to appear in breadcrumbs…any ideas?

Thank you

To give more clarity on my situation, I go in the theme panel, I make one whatever change to the header. I press Save Settings, I get the V notification. I press F5 (or Ctrl-F5 for that matter), the settings reverted to the default ones.

For what it’s worth these are the things that I have done so far:

– Reinstalled theme and plugins
– Checked all file permissions on my server
– Deactivated all plugins that are not TagDiv (I also tried deactivating all of them too)
– Removed all cache files from the server
– Checked that I can execute admin-ajax.php (returns 0)

Fairly sure there is also a whole load of other stuff I tried to do, still no luck. If it’s of any help, this is happening as I am testing migration from Newspaper 8 to Newspaper X (doing this on a separate domain than the registered one)

Hello!

The desktop version is working like in mobile too, which is strange.
We tested with our theme the WP Super Cache and with the settings from our guide this is working correctly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Please install and configure the WP Super Cache Plugin.
Hope that helps you!
