Hi,
1. The Facebook like button should add to the number of likes, when a user clicks on the button, and display a count of all likes. It does not open a window, unless maybe the user is not logged in Facebook, then a prompt should appear. That would be the default functionality of the button. Please correct me if I misunderstand something.
2. There seems to be an issue when trying to go to a previous page on the website, it happens in Chrome as well. I see that you are using the rocket cache, try disabling this and clear the cache. Check if the browser issue is solved, the disappearing icon as well. This could be the cause of the problem in the browser.
Thanks

Hello marcelo,
Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme, installed via FTP way, clear all the caches and all of the untested plugins if you want to achieve best theme results. If you want to remove the related articles from post pages you should turn off it from Theme panel. Check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/related-articles-2/

You don’t need to run ccleaner on your computer or anything like that. Clearing browser cache should also do nothing whatsoever related to ‘sharing’ content on G+.
What can affect sharing is whether you are logged in or not, whether you are in incognito mode, whether you look like a bot, if behind some kinds of proxy, but mainly the only single one issue at all is whether you have proper open graph tags (og:title, og:description), or similar markup properly setup for your posts. PERIOD. FULL STOP. THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS.
Google will only pull the data from YOUR website, not your computer! So, the cache on your PC hard drive has nothing to do with anything, except your ability to SEE changes to websites.
So, if you “view source” on your actual post; and you have all the proper open graph tags, and don’t have console errors breaking Google’s bot, they will grab the content properly unless there is time out.
This is well covered in the Google support docs for those who RTFM:
https://developers.google.com/+/web/snippet/
So, theme does not control the open graph main data, which you would manage with a suitable SEO plugin like Yoast SEO or All-in-One SEO, or custom functions, or whatever.
Note that Google may choose to not grab your content for some internal filter reason such as “steal this YouTube video for fun and profit…” — if your page content hits some internal filter/blacklist thing (e.g,. how to steal YouTube videos might trigger that; or some other kinds of content).
SO:
a) check your post page with F12/console view in Chrome; fix any ‘errors’
b) check your post ‘view source’ for proper open graph tags, no duplicates from using multiple plugins (like using Yoast SEO *and* another SEO solution at same time would break that) — and
test post with Google testing tool:
https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool
c) go back and read the docs page from Google to make sure you know what you’re doing.
If all things are correct and data still not being pulled, it would generally mean your server is ‘timing out’ before Google can capture the information. This happens with *all* social media, from Facebook to Pinterest and Google+ — the bot has a certain amount of time to view page, and if it can’t render the DOM in that time, it moves on. That can be caused by YOUR server/hosting, OR by Google, OR by the “pipes” in between Google’s bot and your server. Nothing you can do about that except try again later.
That’s it.

Hi.
This time I can’t get it to work. I have tagdiv composer 1.0 installed with newspaper 8.6 and I can’t get the text editor to work. I just see the circle that runs.
I have :
Disabled all plugins.
Flushed cache
Checked status.
Reinstalled.
Only tried it on new page.
Ps. I found out that if you run a password protect on your site the composer won’t run. You have to enter your ip in the exclude list and then it runs. Just a tip.
Don’t know what to try more. Please HELP. I’m getting crazy !!!!
Thanks Simion for your response. I have deactivated all the plugins, cleared cache and also deactivated the cache plugin also.
The problem is still not resolved. Even the menu icon in the mobile is also not working.
Can you please suggest.
Thanks

Hello Bharat Deo Sharma,
I suggest you make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way to another sub-domain for testing, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme if you want to achieve better theme’s results. Also, check the PHP version for your dedicated server to be according to the following documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If the recommendation was to try on a new install of WordPress, maybe the hosting provider has such a service to offer. Or you could do it, some guides here

Thanks for your understanding!
Thanks – I’ve turned that off and put Cloudflare into dev mode and cleared cache etc but still no luck.
Hi,
It doesn’t seem to work from what I can see, and there are errors on the page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/c9UxZIJE3N0
Please try again to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins. Disable the minification in the caching plugin settings and clear the cache. Then check if the issue is solved.
Thanks
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
Did you add any custom css code to your theme panel? Please remove any custom code you added in the theme panel and try to disable any untested plugin to see if one does not affect the menu items. You will have to clear cache afterwards though.
Thank you!
Hello STBW,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using an old theme version. (8.0) Please try to update it to the latest version of it, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Make sure that all of the required plugins have been updated to the latest version of them. If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can take a closer look at your weather section.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello bemibel,
Please keep in mind that the Speed Booster has been fully tested to our theme and seems to work as expected, without any problems. Please try to disable all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. Some of the plugins can interact with the untested plugins and causes a lot of unknown issues.
Notice that by default, the theme will load the CSS at the beginning and if you will use the Speed Booster, that plugin will load the CSS at the end. If you need more assistance in this case, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com. Before sending us this email, you should disable all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and remove all of the additional customizations if you have something like this. Notice that’s the first step for WordPress debugging.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
You are clicking on the column not on the image box element. The screenshot shopws the row column settings.
If you cannot select the image box, you probably face a plugin conflict.
Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hi Simion, thanks for your help.
I changed to supercache and that seemed to help.
I’ve put into place the magic bunny code from https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/
and it seemed to make things worse, so I’ve removed it again.
I’ve tried following this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
and when i try to complete section 5, the code that appeared at the top of my page didn’t match with any of the names appearing on page speed insights.
Also now gtmetrix says i’m not deferring the parsing of javascript.
I’m pretty stuck s to what to do next haha 🙂
Hello mradamrothwell,
I have inspected your website and I did not saw any problems with your website. Everything seems to work as expected. Please notice that we do not recommend to downgrade the theme, sorry! You should update the theme with the latest version of it if you want to achieve best theme results. Try to disable all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches, purge all CDN files if you are using something like this and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
I tried to change the home page, but when I click edit with TD composer, I just get a infinite loading rotating. I can’t continue editing. What can I do to fix this?
I tried to reinstall the td composer and js composer (bakery) plugins, but nothing works. I reset the cache from google chrome and wp cache, but nothing happened, the error continue.
Thank you for your soon answer. I delete chache with wp super cache plugin, and modify from the themefonts menu but it´s still dont´t working, my fonts didn´t change.

Hello – here is the link to my site.
https://americanwatercolor.net
I’m trying to set the Excerpt font size to 16px (and 26 line height) but it doesn’t appear to be taking… I’ve cleared the cache a few times as well…
Thx!
You are correct! I’m so sorry – flushing the cache is CSS-101 🙂 Thank you!

I am not actually using the WP Booster plugin. Which is why I thought it was weird that it all of a sudden was showing that error.
I use WP-Optimize every morning.
I have cleared the browser cache in the browser options. I use the Hummingbird plugin and have cleared the page cache and minification cache.
I just swapped the permalinks around. Still nothing.
WP Booster is optional; so you may want to simply disable it for the moment.
Might simply be a caching issue in that specific web browser still loading portions of old code, same time as new code.
Make sure you completely clear browser history/cache in those browsers, clear cache on site (if any), consider clearing micro-transients with WP-Optimize plugin *and* ‘resave permalinks’ … this often does the trick.
