Recently WP-Super-Cache was just updated to version 1.5.0. Although it claims they fixed a lot of bugs, is it safe to update?
Not a question about the theme itself, more like if anyone know about any possible compatibility issues.
Do you guys think that maybe it will take some time to get everything back to normal after i deleted my plugin caches (i deleted it today)? Or maybe theres something else wrong?
My popular (last 7 days) is not working anymore. It used to work perfect. I used WP super cache but i chenged to w3 total cache and i think that was where the problem started. I already deleted all my cache plugins but it is still not working. What should i do?
My website is https://portaldobitcoin.com/
Hi,
I have inspected your website and for me the article titles on the homepage seem to have the color you set, for the h3 heading
– https://www.screencast.com/t/drJQ4J06zoNr
Maybe it is a caching issue, try clearing any installed cache.
Thanks
Hi,
I tried it like that http://prntscr.com/fxjpxa, I cleared cache and cookies but until now facebook counter my site is “0”. 🙁
I have a similar problem. I have installed the wp supercache plugin, enabled ajax post view counter in theme panel but the view count is incrementing eveytime i hit refresh. Why?
Hello Ramon Davi,
Notice that problem with the close button does not come from our theme. It seems to be a CDN problem. Do you have purged all the CDN files and cleared all the caches? Also, I saw that you are not using the latest theme version. please update it via FTP and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please provide more details about this issue, and some useful screenshots if possible so we can understand the problem better. Maybe a recent change has caused this to happen, an installed plugin or some customization.
You could try as a test to deactivate all your plugins except Visual composer, and clear any installed cache. Then check to see if this has any effect.
Thanks
Hello everyone, I’m still customizing my website but every time I go to the URL, it shows for some seconds the default demo colors and fonts. Eventually it load the ones I have set but it is very annoying the change, how can I fix this please, I already tried cleanning the cache also but it is still happening.
If you look at your GTmetrix score, note the item ‘enable browser caching…’ this is the ‘time to live’ that items should live in browser; such as your style sheet be cached first time and not reloaded every new page. See the various tutorials, and help on GTM for how to do that — it’s also covered in my long winded optimization thread in the docs > tutorials > best of forums section here.
If you look at your GTmetrix score, it appears you have the gzip settings okay.
However you have bad score for the expiration headers, or time to live, or browser caching — often referred to in those different ways.
Hi Bogdan – I’ve disabled all plugins and cleared the cache but issue still remains. I’m not using a child theme and there is no custom code.
Hi,
There are multiple topics her on the forum where you can find useful information regarding page speed optimization
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-theme-speedify-your-website/
If you follow the suggestions and recommendations from these topics (or search for more) you will most likely improve the website loading speed. These optimizations will have to be made by you, just take it one step at a time. Results will soon follow most likely.
Thanks
Hello josflachs,
I have inspected again your website and I saw that you are not using the latest theme version. Please update the theme to the 8th version of it via FTP way, clear all the caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results. If the problem is still there, you should send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Vaniquest,
I have checked your website and I saw that your style.css file is not loaded and that’s why you do not bring any style of your website, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/eritonbD -> https://www.screencast.com/t/gAcqXv3iWHC sorry! I recommend you to make a full backup to your database and then, you should re-install the theme via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Also, if the problem is still there, you should contact your hosting provider, tell this issue because it could be possible to be a server problem and from various reasons the style.css file is not loaded on the server. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, you should remove all of them, leave just to active only the required plugins, clear all the caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
That should not happen, you should be able to scroll and see all the page building elements. Please check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide, if necessary
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Then deactivate all your other plugins, except the tagDiv composer and clear any installed cache. After this make a test and see if everything is working as it should regarding the composer.
Please let us know if you still have problems using the editor.
Thanks
thanks for the reply simion
can i ask whether the screenshots are taken from an emulator or an actual tablet, and if a tablet what os was it using?
i have tried it on two different android versions, and an older ios, from 10″ to 7″, all showing the mobile theme.
i actually turned all caching off. removed every plug in that was doing any ‘speed’ or ‘optimisation job on my website. not just for this, but in several areas of development there was a nagging doubt caching could be the problem. i even followed steps to check for cache left overs (and actually found w3 traces from ages ago before i moved to super on theme advice). having removed all of that, and being 100% cache free, i turned off cloudflare and purged everything.
so one thing i can be pretty sure of is cache is not behind the issue.
i have started turning one or two optimisation bits on again. cautiously, checking everything each time an option is flicked.
it has been a useful exercise. a few upgrade issues have resolved themselves, though that may be more to do with your recommendation of switching to php 5.6. than the absence of caching – but having caching out of the way for a development month still seems to make sense.
there are just two issues that remain, and have remained throughout, this tablet displaying mobile theme, and corruption caused by full width blocks (that one i can live with for now)
what is the methodology of the mobile theme in what it serves itself to? is it screen size, resolution, some trigger in the device that says ‘i am a tablet or i am a phone’? might help narrow it down if i can get some more examples.
Hello Fabian,
Please notice that plugin was been tested with the theme and it seems to work as expected. Also, please check your used plugins list because if you are using some untested plugins, all of these can interact with this plugin and theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. Try to disable all of them and leave just only required plugins and tested plugin to be active, clear all the caches and check the results. Notice that I have checked this plugin to my website and works as expected.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello josflachs,
You should set up your main menu for Mobile Theme from Theme panel, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/P2Ukxk8E Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks.
Thank you very much for your advise. I have tried and the problem is still there. I’ll try uninstalling the cache plugin and see if that works. I’ll inform you. Thanks again.
Hi,
Try disabling the tagDiv composer plugin. This editor is activated by default the moment you update the theme to the latest version. Is some cases it can interfere with some elements of Visual composer.
The image should display as intended after you disable the tagDiv composer. Maybe clear your cache afterwards.
Thanks
Hello,
This does not happen on our end: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-fashionable-new-york-couples-in-2016/
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
The tablets will not show the mobile theme on tablets. I;m not sure why this happens on your end. It could be the wp super cache plugin:
Please use this guide to properly set wp super cache: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also wp super cache has a flaw in it;s code that should be corrected.
https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/pull/185/files
Edit wp-cache-phase1.php and add the green code from the right column as it shows in the provided link.
Let us know if you still have trouble with wp super cache.
You can try to disable the mobile theme plugin if you use it and test to see if you still have this issue.
Thank you!

I did all the procedures. I cleaned the cache, but it still did not work.
