Hello Sven!
It’s a general problem. Please make sure that Cloudflare is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ and you disabled the Rocket Loader.
Also, make a test and deactivate the cache plugin that you use.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hi,
If you create a new page and you try to edit it you get the same situation? Do you use CDN? if yes, did you tried without it? Also, did you made any changes in the WordPress files, like permissions, redirect, cache? Do you use object cache?
If yes, then we’ll need to check those and if the problem is still there, then you’ll need to contact us via email. You’ll need to make a full backup for the website and the database. In email please provide wp-admin and cPanel access.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello @frodojrr!
Our tested plugins with our theme can be seen here: https://prnt.sc/OnlJ_6PFY6nc
Please make sure that Cloudflare is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ and you disabled the Rocket Loader.
Check this topic also: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
We recommend using only one cache plugin, the WP Super Cache plugin with this configuration: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure
Thank you!
Hi,
I just checked your website and it looks that there is a single error that is coming from the cdn -> https://prnt.sc/x66Twg4ZYqQ2
Please make sure that all the cache and cdn are purged and check again. In case that the problem is still persisting. Please make a full backup for your website and contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin access. We’ll check it as soon as possible.
Thank you!
I have done all
Site up on Bunny CDN and minified everything
Reduced everything as far as possible already as you had suggested
Hello
I am finding it impossible to get the theme to run at an acceptable speed and performance metric.
I have two sites running at the moment. My original live site and the staging site
Live original http://www.techbusinessnews.com.au
Staging test site before moving to live https://www.techpressmedia.com/techbusinessnews/
These are both on the same very fast lightspeed cPanel server.
I have migrated my site data over to the test stage. So it is exactly the same site. Same plugins ect ect
My original site is highly optimised and I have applied all possible optimisations to the staging site
My big issue is un-cached pages.
My life site will load an un-cached page in less than 2 seconds.
The staging site will take up to 7 seconds to load an uncached page.
Strangely enough turning OFF lazyload actually increased performance.
I have plugins down to the bear minimum also
I have manually minified everything
I have optimised images as far as possible
I am using CDN – (But the big problem is dead slow uncached paged and I need to purge often)
I have also come across many bugs. For instance. Bu turning off lazyload this made my admin bar disappear and I had to force it back with this CSS
function admin_bar(){
if(is_user_logged_in()){
add_filter( ‘show_admin_bar’, ‘__return_true’ , 1000 );
}
}
add_action(‘init’, ‘admin_bar’ );
I have been optimising websites for many years heavily. This seems to be the first theme I have come across that loads non cached pages so slowly.
My current live site has constant 98 to 100 page speed and cached and non cached pages. The newspaper theme I cannot get over 60% is giving very poor page experience.
I have also used the CSS analyser on top
I have tested with both litespeed plugins and wp-cache and also using a combo of both for different functions.
I am also constantly having my server resources spike and max out causing 503s
I have done everything possible. No site speed here for non cached pages and also poor metrics
What am I missing with this theme?
Hello!
Regarding to the CPU usage issue and DB queries, we are trying to find a solution as soon as possible.
The Standard Pack plugin can be uninstalled if you do not use default templates. We recommend to use cloud templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer which contains a lot of functions and features, please check our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Documentation here:

If you mean page speed, then you need to take into account:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors.
Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update, so we’re gladly recommend the latest update of the theme.
If you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.

Hello @MeghaRajpara!
You need to take into account many factors:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors.
We have 3 options of mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
You can choose to use which one is more affordable and useful for you.

Hello,
I made a test and for me works -> https://i.imgur.com/HrZglR5.jpg
Please check the console when you try to save the changes made with tagDiv Composer maybe is possible to be from the firewall or security module which blocks the admin-ajax.php request, which usually displays a 403 or 404 error.
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module that blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.
Also, if you are using Cloudflare, please make sure that is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/, you need to disable the Rocket Loader.
Check some other possible factors which can interfere there: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!

Hello, I am trying to implement a new tag/ad code under the “Share” buttons and above “Related Articles.” I can’t seem to find out how this is done. Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you

He incrementado al principio el FELX BLOCK 1, no sé si será por eso.
La verdad es que no sé si utilizo complemento de caché o CDN, ¿dónde se puede ver eso?
Hi,
Do you know from when this problem started? Are you using cache plugin or CDN? If yes, maybe it is possible that some of them to not be cleared when the post get publish.
Thank you!
Hi,
The problem with composer can be from some extra plugins that were/are used, you can make a test using only tagDiv Composer and exiting should look and work normal.
I just checked the ueber uns page an now this seems to be ok -> https://i.imgur.com/EyG6X8U.png
About the pagespeed, this depends on more factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors.
If you want you can try our guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ also there are many guide on this forum that can help.
Thank you!

Hello @cham!
This issue about DOM Size has been already discussed here, please check: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/can-you-help-reduce-excessive-dom-size/

I can’t get mobile pages to load properly on my website. The homepage, category and tag pages load fine on mobile but the pages themselves aren’t loading. I think it might have to do with the template I’m using.
The website is cnftnews.com
The page that I cant get to load properly on mobile is cnftnews.com/links
I have a mobile page connected to it and created:

But only the header, footer and breadcrumbs load on mobile view.

The page is recognized as a mobile page and the full page has it connected as a mobile page.

Does anyone know what im doing wrong? I’m pretty new to this and I feel like it might just be some settings I don’t have set correctly or something like that.
Hi @bettina,
Unfortunately the topic at: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/the-image-2-could-not-be-loaded-2/ didn’t help, but it got me thinking!
The second image pops out correctly as a modal image when I (a) Set ‘General Modal Image’ ON and (b) set ‘Modal image’ OFF in the Image details when I edit the post.
You can see the settings at https://imgur.com/a/mU83OHr
BUT when I click on the Featured Image in the post, I get an error message “The image #1 could not be loaded”.
Here’s the code for the featured image that does not work correctly:
Here’s the code for the second image that does work correctly:

I think that this can be done only if you not cache the posts, but then those will load slower.
Also another solution will be to also use CDN -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ also the server need to provide you the resources to can handle the traffic from your website -> https://i.imgur.com/mDORDjc.png https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thank you!
Hello,
You can change the caption colour with tagDiv Composer, select the Single Post Featured Image and in the tab “Style” you can change the colour -> https://i.imgur.com/nZKy0Dp.jpg also, inside the Single Post Content -> https://i.imgur.com/LX5yWKx.png
Also, to change the colours for Single Post Comments -> https://i.imgur.com/ZkK9NOn.png, but please make sure the settings that you do are saved.
Please check the console when you try to save the changes made with tagDiv Composer maybe is possible to be from the firewall or security module which blocks the admin-ajax.php request, which usually displays a 403 or 404 error.

Also, if you are using Cloudflare, please make sure that is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/, you need to disable the Rocket Loader.
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hi elitechronicle,
What you can do is to optimize the entire website, for this we recommend to use a cache plugin -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ -> optimizer -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/autoptimize-install-configuration/ also using a CDN will help a lot -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Use a plugin for WebP conversion – we recommend EWWW Image Optimizer with this settings: -> https://i.imgur.com/8xzhsPX.png
And if you want you can also try the mobile theme plugin, this will change the mobile layout and the page content will be needed to be set in the mobile editor, but the speed will be better.
I hope this will help you!

I think the function is great, but unfortunately it doesn’t work for me. as soon as i get to the end there is a green square that loads but there is no new article. would you have an idea what could be the reason?
i don´t use caching plugins or a cdn.

Hi,
The pagespeed do not depends only by the theme, there are a lot of elements, like page elements, external resources, ads, extra plugins…
As I see on your website, there are no theme problems, but maybe you can optimize better the pagespeed for your website:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/

I hope this will help you
