Hello travisnw
>Hi, Gen. When you updated, did you keep the Tagdiv Composer activated?
Yes,Tagdiv It is active now.

Listening to your explanation …
That is, VC and Tagdiv,
Do not use this at the same time. Do you represent such a meaning?
Does it mean you have to invalidate either one?

I like VC very much. It is very convenient when writing articles.
I definitely need VC.

Also, the biggest problem. My past articles cover about 140 pages.
Do I have to fix all this? It was a big trouble ..It will take a huge amount of time.

Or, if you disable Tagdiv at this point, will you return to original?

Please advice me,Thank you

Hi, Andrea. Do you have the Tagdiv Composer plugin AND Visual Composer turned on? When you do, it’s going to make any VC pages you build look strange like that. Basically you need to choose if you’re going to use one OR the other when you build your site. Since you’re starting off, Tagdiv would recommend you use their new plugin, since they’re not really going to support VC anymore. In my case, I already built tons of posts and pages using VC, so I’m sticking with it for now since I don’t have time to rebuild all of them with Tagdiv Composer. So in other words, I have the Tagdiv Composer turned off and the VC plugin turned on. That instantly corrected my problems. Hope that helps.

Hi, Gen. When you updated, did you keep the Tagdiv Composer activated?

I found in the past that when I updated the theme, it automatically activated the new Tagdiv Composer plugin, and that caused my posts and pages to do things like that. If you use Visual Composer to create posts (as I do) and want to use the Tagdiv Composer, I was told I would need to rebuild all of them using the Tagdiv Composer (and turn off VC). Or, I could go on using VC and turn off the Tagdiv Composer.

Hello,
I updated today from Newspaper 7 to 8 today.
I have big problem.
But, past articles. That all content (including letters and images) protrudes to the right.
The same is true when writing new articles (I use Visual Composer in the same way as before)
For some reason, the article contents protrudes to the right.

Past articles. It is over 100 pages. It is difficult to edit.
What should I do?

Hi,

I’ve just bought your awesome theme and I’ve got a question: I’m used to edit my posts through Visual Composer but it seems that the rows span behind the right sidebar of the template.

For the time being, as a quick & dirty workaround, I’ve just put in the post a row and using simply a 2/3 column where I’m putting my text. I’m wondering if there’s something I’m doing wrong and if there’s a cleaner way.

Thank you for the support
Andrea

I am using web 2.0 directory plugin with Newspaper theme. I was really cool while using VC with this plugin. After upgrading to td composer i don’t know how to add that plugin widget to my home page. i need to add it in a Row by the plugin widget or by using shortcodes. How it is possible ?

Use the latest version of the theme, as it is compatible and tested with version of PHP up to 7.1.

My site is
n8trainingsystems.com

I’ve already checked that my Super Cache is set up according to Newspaper Theme specifications, and the Yoast SEO setting that would mess up TD Composer is OFF.

Any other suggestions?

I can’t edit any page of my site in TD composer. It gives me this error in red at the top:
“tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!”

Anyone else resolved this problem?

Last week I had trouble with WPBakery Visual Composer working in Newspaper 8 on a website we were upgrading. I posted here https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wpbakery-visual-composer-is-not-working-for-building-home-page/#post-188382 and thought my issue was solved.

Today I have copied that site to its live destination using WP All In One Migration only to find that WPBakery Visual composer does not work, there is no button for it when editing a page. So I deactivated then deleted Visual Composer plugin and downloaded the newest Newspaper 8 from themeforest today, then manually upload Newspaper-tf/plugins/js_composer.zip and activated it. It shows as activated in plugins, shows no update message except at the top of every page in my admin console. I have deactivated, deleted, manually uploaded and installed the plugin two times now.

Are you still supporting WPBakery Visual Composer in Newspaper 8?

Editing a page using TD Composer, added a “Text with title” box, writing a few paragraphs in it.

To change the font of the text, I go to Theme Fonts>Body>Font. BUT although this also lets me change the line height/style/weight/transform… when I change the font size, it doesn’t change at all. So, how do I change the font size?

Ahh, I think because I’m using TD composer to edit the page, it won’t let me adjust those settings.

Hi Guys, are there any known reasons why ACF values would not render within pages created using VC, I have registered a custom module that has two buttons, these two buttons only show if a value is set in ACF additional field, they work fine in category view but not within a page generated with VC. A custom block has also been registered which uses the same module, it renders fine except the two buttons which should be visible, are not.

Image outlining issue;

Thanks

Hi,

I’m hoping you can help solve an issue with WYSIWYG in Visual Composer and the WYSIWYG area in bbpress. For some reason, the WYSIWYG in text blocks on Visual Composer isn’t working and when I press on something nothing happens, have tried many times.

Also in bbpress the posting options like above on this tagdiv forum have disappeared! I have attached a screenshot: https://goo.gl/photos/fxfqgTpix2TrAeKU8

Any help would be great, thanks so much.

Hi,
I am Using Ninja forms plugin from three years
it works perfectly and I never had problems with the plugin.
a few days ago I noticed that the plugin has a small issue.
Info tooltip icon with a shadow. please click here:
I wrote to ninja forms support, they said me the issue coming to form JS/ Composer.

their response
As for the shadows, it looks as though Font Awesome/JS Composer is applying the shadows:
content: “\f05a”;
coming from: http://www.lankatourexperience.com/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/lib/bower/font-awesome/css/font-awesome.min.css

Can you fix this issue? or please explain to me how to fix it.
thanks in advance

Hi,

That is unusual. Please try to deactivate and delete the tagDiv composer and install it again. The page editor is tested and works in all supported browsers on our end.

Thanks

Hello daviannguyen,

It seems your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.

Thank you!

Hi,

I had approximatively the same problem. New to Newspaper, I started with 8.1 choosing to use VC (I already knew it… lazy boy:-)). The first time I used an image element beside a text element, I had a wierd result with a stretched image, full width but truncated in height. Reading the utzgurx’s experience, I’ve tried to desactivate TD Composer… and well… everything run’s norml now. I definitely would have prefered to have the ability to test your composer besides VC.

However thanks for such a brilliant theme.

Hi,

That setting from Yoast and another setting from then WP Super Cache were identified to cause the error. But it could be a different plugin as well. Most likely it is caused by a plugin. Try to think of the last installed plugin and deactivate it. Or simply select all plugins and deactivate them in bulk, except theme plugins. Then clear any installed caching.
This should resolve the issue, check by creating a new page and edit it with the tagDiv composer.

Thanks

Hi,

Only when the mobile theme plugin is active there is the option to set a different menu on mobile. Content for the pages when this plugin is active is limited to the mobile editor. There is no possibility to display page editor elements in these mobile pages, or pages built with composers.

Thanks
