1. As captioned, should have an area in the them panel to update the theme directly? Instead of copying the files to the server again. This’s bothering.
2. Anything else’s updated in the version released on Apr 14, 2016 than the visual composer and Revolution slider?
3. Is this update making Newspaper theme fully compatible with WordPress 4.5?

Updated WordPress to 4.5, Newspaper to 6.7.1 and Visual Composer to 4.11.2
Now Visual Composer won’t load and if I try and Customise the theme, the only options I have is to Save and Publish. No access to anything else
Please advise how I go forward as I need to finish my site

Having the same problem. Visual Composer not loading inside of the pages section since recent update.
I have followed the above instructions and still cannot get Visual Composer to load. It is showing version 4.11.2
Newspaper 6.7.1

Hello, I just updated wordpress and Newspaper, and I couldn’t edit any of my pages, as Visual Composer is not loaded, and there are errors in inspector:

There’s a new update to Visual Composer you can download by downloading the latest update to Newspaper. From there, you can follow the instructions in this link to update the plugin.
I have some problem with a BIG GRID in visual composer. i update the visual composer plugin manually but nothing change? any suggestion?

I updated to the lateset (todays) theme as well as the jscomposer which came with it.
When I try to upload an image to the media library I get HTTP error.
When I look in the javascript console this is the error I get:
JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.0

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)
What might be the problem?

Same problem–no images. I installed the new theme update, checked that line 1976 was updated (it was) and updated Visual Composer to the latest available (not the old version included with the theme update). No help. No images. So back to a backup. When you get around to fixing this, let us know.

I’m using the latest version of your theme but my visual composer doesn’t work. I stuck at this screen for over 2 hours and nothing happened?!

You’ll need to deactivate and then delete the Visual Composer plugin that’s already installed on your site first, then install the updated version of the plugin. Doing this will still allow you to keep all of the settings you previously had as well (it worked for me when I did it earlier today). Here is a link to the instructions for updating Visual Composer. Hope this helps and it works for you.

I automatically update theme from WP Evanto Toolkit. Using the latest visual composer. Now i run the plugin “Speed Booster” but still you can check Blogrope.com Mega menu pictures disappeared, Sidebar, some of related post pictures missing.

An update just got released through Newspaper, so you should be able to download the new version of the Visual Composer plugin that’s compatible with WordPress 4.5.
Once you’ve downloaded the updated plugin, follow the steps in this link to update the plugin.

last night upgrade to the latest version of wordpress and now the Visual Composer plugin does not work correctly.
Now I remarked that visual composer has also problems with word press 4.5
When I want to edit pages (for instance the start page to place an add block) there is no access to visual composer to add elements to the right place. I hope a theme update is coming up soon to fix this problem.
