I”m using visual composer to display a block, block 6, set to show posts from a category with a tag filter as well.
Trouble is, for some posts this info will be empty.. Is there anyway to hide the block display completely if it’s empty? Right now it still shows the title / pagination.. I’d like to just have it disappear altogether if it’s empty.
hi,
Please use this guide and re-install the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin from the plugins folder.
Please let me know if this solves this issue.
Thanks
Hi,
Thank Christopher!
@Stephanieb Please make sure you also empty all cache files and purge files if you use any CDN or cache plugins and with all plugins disabled check again for this issue, this should not happen so it must be generated by a plugin.
If nothing works please send an e-mail at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your wp-admin user and pass so we can check this, please also send a link to this topic or specify your issue in details.
Thanks
Since updating to the version yesterday I’ve been unable to update one of my posts, keep getting the following error:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/thakksy/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/core/class-vc-base.php on line 330

Only seem to happen when updating this post: http://www.cruisehive.com/costa-fascinosa-hit-bad-weather-causing-damage/4356 After checking the update does work but doesn’t confirm or anything, just the error page comes up.
Thought it was just a wordpress issue but it seems to be related to js_composer so thought it might be related to the theme.
Ah, yes… some plugins and widgets add in code to the main WP admin panel, and that has changed quite a bit since WP 3.9, and so many plugins written prior to that which have not been updated may be putting in javascript/ajax which might be breaking the overall admin system in some way, such as loading duplicate version of jquery, etc.
If it’s one plugin at fault, presumably you could see if they have updated version, or, at least for the development phase of website, turn the plugin off to setup your site, then when “done” turn the plugin back on.
Not an elegant workaround, but that’s the only advice I had if it’s not the browser, or the php.ini issue.
Hi Lucien,
Thanks for picking up the error – it is related to my mailing list widget and I’m investigating it. I changed the max_input_vars from 1000 to 3500 (the highest option) and it is still not working. I tried to change the custom css on another page and it is doing the same thing. I deactivated all my optional plugins and tried again – same thing. I also tried it in a different browser & on a different PC & on a different connection…
I’m really not sure how to proceed from here?
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks Christopher!
@Stephanieb
If the settings are not saved you could try to increase the max_input_vars = 1000; value inside the php.ini file to max_input_vars = 5000;.
If you don’t have access to the php.ini file please contact the host administrator and let him know about this issue.
You could also try to deactivate some plugins, I have noticed this js error in your console: http://screencast.com/t/blhqKaE0SKIw
I’m not sure if this error is related to your panel issue but you should check it just to be sure.
Hope this helps! Please let me know!
Thanks
Thanks for the trick Christopher but unfortunately it didn’t work for me 🙁 I am using chrome at the moment and not IE as well so really no idea why it’s acting up.
Hopefully the TagDiv team have got an idea or fix for me.
Hi, sorry for my english,
I bought Newspaper 4 and my url is http://www.fancityacireale.it/wordpress2/
I inserted the module big slide in my home page but when i click on the article title the link not open the destination page
can you help?
I have already asked the support VisulaComposer and their response was:
Hi davide,
Most likely the “Big slide” module/element is coded by the theme author as we do not have it in our standard package. You can check our standard package elements by logging in here: demo.wpbakery.com/vc/wp-admin/
I would suggest you to get in touch with the theme author, for any issues related to this element as we are not aware of the code that is being used in it.
thanks and sorry
Davide
I have this issue with Internet Explorer; but not with Chrome.
Might not be same issue, but there you are.
I found that also “scrolling” down to bottom of page to fully load everything, then scrolling back up then hitting save sometimes works – don’t ask me why 🙂
Hi,
I am trying to add some custom css to my homepage via the option in the visual composer – so that it applies it just for that page.
I tested some custom css earlier which worked fine but it now will not delete or update. I put the code in and there are no errors but when I press save nothing happens. If I click close and then update and go back in the code I put in is gone and the old code I used earlier to test with is back.
Thanks 🙂
Hi Lucian,
Thank you for your reply.
I changed the header style and it’s exactly how I want it, thanks!
For the parallax problem, it looks like it’s the Tekanewa visual composer extension that is breaking the parallax. http://tekanewascripts.info/composer/ which I’m using on these pages.
As soon as I put one component of this extension on a page with parallax, it breaks.
Not sure if this is anything you can help with?
Thanks!
@davistar OMG i did not even know that was there, lol now i can see the block 10
How would people know that you had to go in the “Visual Composer Settings” and then click on User groups access rules to see those features…if you did not let us know that i guess some of us will be still wondering..thx for the tip..
Hello, activating block 10 from here worked for me:
No problem, I’ve added the page somehow!
Hi,
I can assure you that it isn’t happening, all files are there.
Please make sure that you have followed the steps I have mentioned above and also if you use CDN purge files, this may deliver old content and generate this issue.
If nothing works please send an e-mail at contact@tagdiv.com so we can check and provide wp-admin user and pass, also specify your issues details.
Thanks
Hi,
On the latest version of Visual Composer some classes were changed by it’s developer and we had to override them so that the plugin would still work with the theme. In the process the buttons css was lost. We have the issue on our list and we’ll try to fix it in one of the next updates. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you, Emil G.
Hi guys,
I don’t have cPanel in my hosting, I’m using a plugin called WP FileManager
Here’s how it interface looks like:
http://www.screencast.com/t/N8CLjVsc
http://www.screencast.com/t/PDMBW5RTWvIw
Can I upload the page template using this? I have no other of doing this :/
Hello it’s not working for me. Is the current update file missing a few files?
How come after the 4.3 update, the buttons (specifically Button 2) on visual composer are not styled according to the settings? http://i.imgur.com/yFJoNX0.png
On the front end, it would only show as links and not the styled one.
I tried reinstall the theme and accompanying plugins and clearing the cache, but it’s still not showing properly.
Note that the buttons were styled fine before the 4.3 update.
So, when you go to create a “page” you don’t see option to use Visual Composer once you choose a template from right side of new page creation page?
Visual Composer appears when you create a page, NOT in the theme panel. You can’t create content with the VC in the theme control panel, only on a page where you add content.
Like here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates/
Perhaps I’m missing what the problem is?
Marius, Lucian, et al will be back online Monday; I’m just trying to be helpful but I do not work here 🙂
If using the version included with the theme, you don’t need to put in a license as it’s a “bundled version” of the plugin which works with the theme.

Hi, I just bought Newspaper 4 theme a few days ago and am still going through the whole theme. I was thrilled to find you can use Visual Composer since it seems to be included. However, after I installed the plugin, I went to the license part and entered my data:
—————————————————————————
Visual Composer Settings / Product License
Envato Username: xxxxxxxx
Secret API key: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Visual Composer License Key: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Invalid liense key. Please check information in your envato profile.
—————————————————————————
I checked my envato account profile and API key and generated an additional API key, and re-entered all the data. However, I still get the invalid license key error. Can you help? Thanks.
Hi,
Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/ and install the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin from the plugins folder that came with the theme files.
Then please disable all plugins and then regenerate thumbnails, also remember to empty cache.
If this dose not solve this issue please send your wp-admin user and pass at contact@tagdiv.com so we can check this, also send a link to this topic or specify your issues details.
Thanks
