Our website https://theshillongtimes.com/
keeps going down frequently. We often get 504 Gateway Timeout errors (https://prnt.sc/dttBhTeuAlky). This mostly happens when using tagDiv Composer/Page Builder—the site hangs, and then the whole site goes offline.

Please advise how to fix this issue urgently.

Thanks,

Hello,
I’m having a recurring issue with my WordPress site using the Newspaper theme with tagDiv Composer. Whenever I try to publish an article – either a brand-new post or an older draft – WordPress shows the error:
The link you followed has expired
Could you please advise if this issue might be related to Newspaper theme or tagDiv Composer, and if there are specific settings or updates I should apply?

Hi,

It seems to display correctly https://prnt.sc/DmMCSyQiZvv1

But if there are still problems and the page isn’t working in the composer, I will take a look at it. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login (user and pass). I will check the page as soon as possible.

Thanks.

Hi,

That means you probably added it in the header, so it displayed on the whole website.

To explain a bit, there are 3 zones in the composer, the header, the content, the footer. When you drag an element to place it you can see over which zone you are hovering https://prnt.sc/eLb7o_GSEgIJ Or if you click on an element the zone is displayed like this https://prnt.sc/pLU8dCn_fZ9I Mistakes can happen however.

Thanks.

Hi,

We’re still working on a few more fixes we would like to include in the update.

The fix for the issue with editors not being able to use the composer is included in the next update. In the meantime please use this composer version which contains the fix https://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/td-composer.zip The problem should be solved after installing it.

We are very sorry for this situation and inconvenience. Hopefully next week an update will be released.

Thanks.

Hi,

That depends on the type of post template you are using.

If you use a cloud post template, then you can edit the template with the composer https://prnt.sc/trKaygjQFR98 and remove the sharing buttons https://prnt.sc/tlVLbR-IqqjU

Or if you use a standard post template then you can disable the sharing bottom in the theme panel https://prnt.sc/2kdtySQQVPB_

In case there is a problem or if you have more questions please let me know.

Thanks.

I want to use this shortcode in the page [elementor-template id=”11026″]. How can I Use that

Simion C.

Hi,

You can add anything you want in the header. The cloud header templates can be built with the composer. There are a lot of already made header templates in the cloud library https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers You could import one that you like and customize it https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-manager/ Please try it and let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks.

Hi,

Please check this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/

So in the composer you can switch to the mobile header https://prnt.sc/1ptXmMAn6dsC then click on the logo and remove the demo logo https://prnt.sc/VjSp1uJqKfbw

Then the same for the mobile sticky headerhttps://prnt.sc/u2q9o4aIefxO

As a note, the Metropolitan demo uses 2 headers, one for the homepage and one for the rest of the website. Both of them must be customized https://prnt.sc/n1xSPoyZYDcI

Please try it.

Thanks.

I have asked for TagDiv support for help with an issue with the header logo image on the Front Page of my Newspaper themed website, https://www.thethinkingconservative.com/. TagDiv’s support person, Bettina, did something to make the logo fit in a larger space on my Front Page which I wanted done, but did not explain how she did it although I asked. There is an issue with what she did however, the larger header logo shows up larger in the Brave browser, but not in the Chrome browser.

I have no idea what Bettina did and a different support person did not know either and told me to upload a larger image in the TagDiv editor for the Front Page. When I attempted to upload a larger logo image like your support recommended, it literally broke the Front Page of my website and now it won’t open in TagDiv Composer no matter how long I wait, so I can no longer edit the Front Page in TagDiv Composer and the Front Page is no longer showing correctly on the website. The header area, menu etc. is missing from the entire website.

This code can be seen at the bottom of the broken Front Page
[td_flex_block_1 modules_on_row=”” image_size=”” image_floated=”hidden” image_width=”eyJwaG9uZSI6IjMwIn0=” image_height=”eyJwaG9uZSI6IjExMCJ9″ show_btn=”none” show_excerpt=”eyJwaG9uZSI6Im5vbmU

I have checked and everything is correct with the templates, menus etc. and it is not a plugin issue, but because I can’t open the homepage to edit it there is nothing I can do. I deleted the larger image I had uploaded from the library, but the image didn’t show up in uploads in File Manager in cPanel which I thought was strange.

I do not want to upload a new Front Page template as it took so much work to get the Front Page correct and I can’t just upload the header template because I can’t open the Front Page with the TagDiv editor.

Please look at the Front Page of the website and you will see the issues.

How do I fix this?

Hi,

That must be the default mobile logo. It can be customized like so https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/

So in the composer you can switch to the mobile header https://prnt.sc/3sVCI3w2ZjBR then click on the logo and remove the text, should be here https://prnt.sc/AaN7JQ0OuhfB Then you can set your own logo.

Please try it.

Thanks.

Description:
Hello TagDiv Support,

After enabling CSP on my site, the browser shows this error:

Content Security Policy blocks the use of ‘eval’ in JavaScript.

It looks like td-composer or some Newspaper JS files are still using eval() or new Function(). To make the site work, I would need to add ‘unsafe-eval’ in the CSP header, but this is not secure.

Can you please confirm if there is an update or patch that removes the dependency on eval() in the Newspaper theme / tagDiv Composer plugin?

I am currently using:
• Newspaper theme version: [insert version]
• tagDiv Composer version: [insert version]

I would like to know if there is a safer solution than enabling ‘unsafe-eval’ in CSP.

Thank you!

Hi,

Installing and using the theme is very simple. After you install the theme and activate the composer plugin https://prnt.sc/ZseUA9EF-tVy the theme panel will show up like this https://prnt.sc/1g4ODxkX4mEp Those are all the theme settings.

I’m not sure what option you are seeing for upgrading to pro. There’s no pro version of the theme.

If there is a problem with the theme on your website then we will check directly on your website. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login (user and pass). We will check as soon as possible.

Thanks.

The TagDiv composer is not working for any pages, or when I try to edit Cloud Templates modules.

I have tried clearing the cache, disabling all the Plugins, and also checked on different systems. Still not Editor is not loading.

Hi,

Yes, we reply to all the support requests as soon as possible.

I believe you used an option from the theme panel that displays comments on pages https://prnt.sc/qDmiIdr2FDLT

Normally the comments aren’t displayed on pages. We haven’t added a comments element in the composer for pages, which would have allowed customization. That option from the theme panel just displays a basic comment form, below the content you add with the composer. It’s not actually part of the page content.

In this case there aren’t any customization options for that comments section. But depending on what you want to customize exactly, there may be other ways. Please let me know what you would like to do and if its possible I will gladly help with it.

Thanks.

Hi,

Are you referring to the menu popup? https://prnt.sc/_peuXM6ekW_t That’s a page built with the composer and set in a popup.

I can provide the code of that page, here it is https://pastebin.com/2KTer7XG Please add a new page on your website and add that code in it. Then you can display the page in a popup https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-popup/ via the page ID.

Please try it. Let me know if you need help with it.

Thanks.

Hi,

Could you please provide an example of this issue? I don’t think there were any modifications made in this matter, if you want to disable the theme breadcrumbs the same workaround can be used.

Please note that even if you disabled the setting in the theme panel, if the page or template contains the breadcrumbs element from the composer https://prnt.sc/KhCN2Lp8EB2y then the breadcrumb schema is loaded.

Thanks.

Hi,

If you mean this setting https://prnt.sc/Y3YoO7nmX7SB please note that this won’t apply to pages built with the composer. In the composer you can use the option on the rows https://prnt.sc/Q9znwAaSVIJ8 and stretch them as needed.

That option from the theme panel is meant for pages built with the wordpress editors, the classic editor or the block editor. We added it because some of the theme demos are wider, and if the website where a demo is installed already had pages built with wordpress, instead of recreating them with the composer and making them wider, that option will make them all at once.

So for a page like your homepage, you must edit it with the composer, click on the rows and stretch them to 1200px, it takes very little time.

Thanks.

Hi,

I can’t say unfortunately. Maybe there is a conflict with the theme, we don’t regularly test elementor. You could use the composer we provide with the theme. I see you are trying to built an About page, there are a few ready made pages in our cloud library https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Pages

We recommend using our composer with the theme if possible. There can be conflicts if other page builders are used. I see the header and footer on the website are built with the composer, so you could use the composer to build the page content as well.

Thanks.

Hi,

Normally each element has its own default CSS, which is replaced if the element is customized in the composer. However, it’s strange that CSS used by the column title element affects other headings. The CSS is applied via a unique class, not targeting headings. Like in the code you provided, the unique class is .tdi_51, and unless this class is set on a heading then the CSS should not apply to it.

Could you provide a link to where I can see this issue? If you can’t provide a link in the forum, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and we can continue there.

Let me know.

Thanks.

Hi,

That is possible, you can use your own ads if you want.

The ad box element https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/ supports simple ads like images and links, like this one https://prnt.sc/Ya7HNQ9byN8v

The sizes are up to you. It depends on where you display the ad and how much space is available there. You can set different images or sizes per device if you want or hide them per device https://prnt.sc/4j1JBrb40TTA There are also options to set the width/height you want in the composer regardless of what size your image is.

I suggest experimenting a bit with the ad box, and let me know if I can help more.

Thanks.

I apologize for butting in, but our host is reporting the same problem on two separate sites: the file …/td-composer/legacy/common/common.php has been quarantined because it was detected as an infected file.
They suggest it “entered” through a WordPress, theme, or plugin vulnerability, but since the same file is on two different sites that share no plugins, it’s either WordPress or the theme, but my Newspaper installations are working very fine.
Please, Calin, confirm us if you can, or as soon as you can, that this is a “false positive” to give us peace of mind.
We’re always very grateful.

Hi,
while editing cloud templates with TagDiv composer and adding text module I don’t see SAVE button, only editor windows, so it’s impossible to add any new text.

See the window here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xImouIx0NXWyMffIB9jeCYMy-4nLgS9I/view?usp=sharing

How can I resolve this?

The homepage I designed was completely new with Elementor, not using TD Composer, I only used it to design the interface for the Post, Category and Tag pages, the Homepage completely used Elementor.

I tried all the ways you listed before but they didn’t work, it only stopped when I turned off the TD Composer Plug in
