I really want to love this theme but there seems to be so many limitations to achieving what I want our site to look like. Questions/problems below
1. We are currently using Big Grid Full 3 for our feature stories. At first, there was a gradient over the blocks that I didn’t look as it made the images appear dark. I removed the gradient, but now the white text blends in with most of our images so I’m left with trying to find darker images for the white text. I need to know how to achieve the following:
3 full blocks across the top of the page that will allow clear photos and either black text OR the text underneath the grid. Here is the link to our site for reference: https://www.crushmagazineonline.com/
How can I achieve this?
Also, are there future updates planned that will allow users to choose a font color?
2. How can I add a full size video to the homepage?
3. Is it possible to create the big block similar to the block on this site: https://www.womenshealthmag.com/. I am not trying to create the exact block but I do like how the article title is positioned on the box.

-It is possible to add this code only in a specific category istead in the whole site? Because i want the space only if i have an ad… at the moment i just have one in videogames category only.
-In ADS – Background click ad, i can set a link for just one background in the whole site but i have set a background from Categories and there’s not an option for set a link here. You know when this funtion will be implemented? Because i found a Plugin called “Custom Backgrounds for WordPress” that can do that. But it cost $15 and if I know it will be implemented soon by you, I avoid buying it.
-Last, as you can see from my homepage here https://labussolanews.com/ at the bottom of the page, under the footer, there is a white space.. why? and how can i remove it?

I’m having trouble getting horizontal banner ads to work in tagdiv composer. I’ve been trying to place a 970×90 or 970×250 ad on my homepage in multiple spots. Every single time, it shows up as a 300×250. Can someone explain how to fix this?
You can see the ad I’m referring to in the middle of my home page. Just scroll down a bit and you’ll see it below the header section.
something happened to the subscribers widget on my homepage. Was it discontinued? It disappeared on my home page and only coding appears in its place. please see attached image.

Hi, I installed the default demo. How can I make the first article in each category appear on the homepage, and not the articles in chronological order?
I recently updated wordpress on my site to version 4.9.7 then I install the theme and plugins to the latest version. Then later this day I want to edit my homepage(which i didn’t touch for quite some time) the backend editor of both tagdiv and wpbakery composer disappear. I not sure if updating wordpress causes this problem or not. Try reinstalling both theme and plugins but no luck! Now I cant edit my home page. Please help!

Recently I purchased Newspaper theme and installed default demo with content. But later on I notice that I cant find out where to modify the last section (Latest Article) at the bottom of the page. I have tried out all the possible setting in Appearance > Widget and “Edit with TD Composer” but still no lucks.
Could you please point out where should I access to make changes for the last section? Thanks in advance.

The best way would be to simply install the demo

This will import theme panel settings and custom design specific to the demo. If you install it with demo content, the homepage will be provided.
If you do not want to install the demo, you could try to re-create. We have no guide for that at the moment however. These would be some similar topics

Hi,
Only the header logo can be clicked and direct to the homepage, the background cannot. Set a header logo and users can click on it for a homepage link.
If you want to maybe use that image as logo, use header styles with no image limit (9,10 or 11)

I would like to remove video button (video-small.png, ico-video-large.png) from my homepage for a video post. I understand it can be done with Javascript at client side, but I was wondering if this can be done at server side too? Please help.

Stretched blocks will use the same thumbnail as non-stretched blocks. So regenerating the thumbnails would have no result in quality. We recommend that either full grids are used when full with is needed

These flex blocks allow you to choose thumbnails size, so the quality would be more proportional to your original images

Hey I’m wondering if it’s possible to change block title’s image background color or completely remove it. For instance, the crafts theme by default uses the yellow smudge for each block title background on the homepage and sidebar titles. Can this be changed?

Hi Simon, that worked great.
However something else came up.
I just noticed that if I use Jetpack’s free CDN service to load my images from their server, on the homepage my banners now get resize to a smaller scale.
Is there any way to fix this? Or can you suggest another plugin to optimize images?
The problems is only with the homepage , all other links are working fine. I tried disabling the plugins and cache, still the homepage url is showing shortcodes..

I can code the icon and post specific url, but where in the code should I place it? I tried td_block_template_11.php, but with no result. The menu would be hidden along with the whole header if you use an empty page template for example

But that will remove the footer as well. Such a dedicated setting does not exist at the moment. I believe there are plans to add more design and functionality settings for the theme headers, in future updates.
I could give you a code, check if it works. It applies only on the homepage and it should remove the menu when not sticky
