I am wondering if there is a way to hide the author for a certain block (I use block 21 on homepage)?
Currently I have “Show Author” turned off but I would like to show author for a particular category… I think it might be easier to turn it on and then hide it on the homepage blocks that I don’t want it to show.

Hello – is there a way to un-hide the content excerpts so they do show on a mobile phone?

Sir i have installed newspaper on iaspaper.net and when i open facebook link from the social icon it opens the homepage again.
And another query is how can i setup forum like this on my blog.
Earlier theme was WordPress. Now moved to Newspaper.
The issue is with featured images. When the featured image is ‘ON’ on the post settings, there are two images displayed (same twice) in post and featured image is shown on the homepage themes.
When featured image is removed, only one image in post which is not displayed in the homepage theme.

I’m using the default sidebar for both homepage and posts but eventually I will add extra items to the sidebar in the posts. Is it possible to create a new sidebar with the similar content of the default sidebar? I mean, without me having to add the current elements again manually.

My site is BitcoinWarrior.net.
I upgraded from Newspaper 4 to 6.6.3 today. At first, some plugin incompatibilities broke the website. I got it back, and have been trying to fix number of other issues.
The biggest issue I’m having right now is that I can’t get my images to load on the home page or in the posts. I saw someone else was having these problems and turned off lazy loading to no avail.
Please let me know what I can do.
Also, I would really like to know how to get the sidebar to go all the way down my homepage when I’m using visual composer.

Hi,
The theme has an option to add a site wide background and also you can add a specific background for each category. The articles will inherit the background you set on their category from panel – http://screencast.com/t/BmaWZkk3HyM
If you want to add it individual, it can be done via custom css like Bogdan stated above. So if you want to add a specific background for your homepage you can target it using .home class instead .page-id-xxx. For post pages you can use .single as general class for all your post templates.
There is no option to add 2 different background ad links in panel and you will need cusotm modifications for it and I suggest to get someone to help you with this as we cannot provide custom work at this time.

Yes I added AdSense code directly inside the post content. The problem is I cannot use the theme panel ads section because I don’t want some ads in all the posts. If there is no way to hide the ad code from the homepage excerpt is not a big problem… I will delete that ad from all the posts. Thanks
I want to edit the name of the feature sections that show up on the homepage. I cannot edit this on the home page or the visual composer. What do I need to do to edit the title. Also, how can I select the categories I would like to show up within each?
Select either of the options from the main menu: Shelter, Water, Food, Security.
That will bring up a page with two advertisements in the right sidebar, with the social media links at the top of the sidebar, and a custom ad in the page footer.
This is the look I wish to have, with the addition of a reply section, for each post.
Click an individual post, either from the main homepage, or from one of the sub-homepages and a totally different page will appear. Only a single ad, the social media links at the bottom of the sidebar, and a <Tagdiv> generic ad in the footer.
How do I turn the latter page into the former?

If one would click on a selection from the top menu, I’ve been able to add additional ad blocks to the page the menu points to, as well as edit the bottom footer for another banner “ad.”
However, when one clicks on an individual post, those additional ads disappear. How to edit the post template to look like one of the menu “homepage” templates? Is that possible via the Visual Composer? Do I have to create a whole new template? If so, how to point the posts to that template?
In the meantime, where am I able to change the footer ad on the post template?
