By installing a new demo the content from your site won’t be lost. If you install the theme with content then all posts from that demo will be added to your site among the posts you already created. The posts from demo can be removed by uninstalling it without losing the post that you created.
Note that if you install a new demo all settings from theme panel will be replaced with the demo’s settings so as @Chris suggested make sure you do a full backup before installing the new demo.

This kind of error appears because you try to rule the script and this is not available because you have already the Newspaper 6.3.2 and this script is available only if you have version 4 and you have to update to version 6.
Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come bundled with the theme files from the /plugins folder. In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings.
The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Please note that old files customization or custom CSS will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust or re-add them.
All your customization are recorded in the database which is not affected by this update.

There is another way to do it, but it involves creating as many sub-domains as categories and install the theme on every sub-domain with different demos installed and then create redirects for each category to the specific sub-domain. Kind of a pain, but unfortunately there is no easy solution for it.

Unfortunately, If you have hired a freelancer or developer that have broken your website, please contact him to resolve the issue. I have no idea what kind of changes has done in this regard and why your mobile version does not work properly because our theme by default, as you can see in our demo works perfectly. Maybe this problem is coming from your untested plugins wich can interfere with our theme. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme.

We do not know of any side-effects to this method. We have encountered no issues with removing that code. Now it simply depends on the plugins you use. If everything works as expected at the moment, then you should simply check your site carefully when installing a new plugin to see if there is no compatibility issue.

If I Install the default demo, will I lose my content or the changes I’ve made to the Classic Blog? Is there a way to switch to the Default Demo without losing anything?
I seem to be having an issue with some feature options missing on Visual Composer which is evident when I try and edit block settings. I have tried everything to get it working correctly including un-installing, purchasing a new copy of VC.I have included a link below of the issue I am having, please help 🙂
I am running into this error while trying to update the theme.
My theme is also giving some other issues at the moment (like the pagination on my home page doesnt work anymore)
How do I make a fresh installation of the updated theme Without loosing all the plugins, design and layout setup i currently have.

Everything seems to work fine except for the plugin ShareThis.
After I have installed Newspaper 6 I don’t know why but it seems something is in front of the buttons and I can’t understand how to fix it. Can you help me?

This may be caused by a featured post plugin. Our theme does not support featured posts in it’s modules and blocks so please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and check again. If the problem is still there afterwards, please try to do a fresh install of the theme.

Bottom line is that newspaper 6 is a whole new theme built from scratch.
Unfortunately, you will have to clear your agenda and spare a bit of time to adjust all your settings to the new version of the theme.
If you have already Newspaper 6 and you want only to do the update to latest version, you should make this without any problem. All your customization are recorded in the database which is not affected by this update.

Note that the Speed Booster plugin disable itself when an incompatible plugin it’s installed. We added this measure to avoid conflicts with the plugins that won’t allow to move their CSS/js resources at page bottom. I suspect this problem might be caused by the interference between your untested plugins with our theme. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, please check your HTML customization and ensure that you have followed the correct steps and also ensure that you do not have any tags opened.

I installed the newsmag theme and the example td-custom-post-type plugin to test the functionality.
I created one book and associated two ‘genre’ terms to it.
When the book is displayed in the front end, the two genres are displayed above the title, that works like expected.
clicking on of the two terms ends up with an empty page – I expected to see all associated book in that case.
So how will I bring this to live?

Unfortunately we cannot say for sure why the sidebar created this issue. It could have been a caching issue that got resolved when reinstalling the demo. It could also be a plugin compatibility issue. Some plugins tend to rewrite some of the theme css and create issues. If you encounter the problem again, please try to disable all plugins except visual composer to see if one of them is the cause.

Now, I have tested with a mobile device…an android phone…www.microadagencies.com
The default front page shows the plain codes instead of the real, complete view,with last post details however, when I click, to view Full Site View, it shows properly.
What could be the issue and how can this be rectified,

I installed the theme on localhost, after 2 days of tweaking the settings to get familiar with it, I noticed that the sidebar stopped being sticky. It’s turned on in settings. I read about clearing cache to fix it up, but i already have pressed uninstall demo to check if it will fix itself. After I reinstalled the demo the problem was fixed. Can u tell me where the problem came from and how to avoid it if it shows in future?

Normally the Envato policy allows using a theme only on one install. You can, however, use the theme on a sub-domain if you plan on creating a testing site, but if we are talking about totally different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed: http://screencast.com/t/NqzloVgyUJB. In your case, it’s about the new web and you have to buy our theme again.
