I’ve been searching for the last 3 days for a way to remove the query strings from static resources.

I’ve read virtually the whole of the forums for the Newsmag and Newspaper themes, I’ve tried various different plugins, I’ve added code to the functions php and still no joy

The plugins didn’t seem to have any effect and the code added to the functions php broke my test site.

I’m getting a performance score of 8/100 on pingdom for Remove query strings from static resources and would obviously like to improve this.

I have bought and paid for 4 instances of the theme for 4 new sites that we are developing, they are all on brand new, clean shared hosting in separate A2 hosting accounts and all on new, clean wordpress installs, all run the same plugins and all have exactly the same settings, the only difference is they run different stacks. They all seem to behave differently to the same configurations, some changes break one site but not another? It’s all very confusing.

Some time ago I asked you if there was a way to display all my relationship categories in the drop down menu on howdoidate.com and you said it couldn’t be done with your theme.

I then discovered the Uber Menu plugin on Codecanyon that could display all my relationship categories and bought and installed it yesterday.

Unfortunately the automatic install of the menu didn’t work but they explain how to do it manually.

The problem is it really is beyond me to do this manually in the way they describe although it would probably be straightforward for one of you guys.

Could you please take a look and let me know if you could do it and if so how much you’d charge.

Hi guys,
I installed mod_pagespeed today and it broke the mobile version of the site, it seems to screw up the css in the mobile version.

is this a known issue ?

any ideas or solutions welcome.

I have a problem, which really keeps annoying me.

As you know the auto formatting is a common wordpress problem. <p> tags are randomly added an </br> tags removed, when you switch from the visual to the html tab.

I tried everything..

Adding this code to functions.php:
remove_filter(‘the_content’, ‘wpautop’);
remove_filter(‘the_excerpt’, ‘wpautop’);
remove_filter(‘comment_text’, ‘wpautop’);
remove_filter(‘the_title’, ‘wpautop’);

and installing like 4 plugins didnt work for me.

<br>-tags still get removed when switching tabs/saving in visual editor.

Do you have any idea how to solve that problem? It really annoys me..

After installing the theme I got this error message, how to solve?

Hi, I have a problem visualizing the images of my blog. If I am logged-in I can see them properly, but when I log-out (or from another computer) I just can’t see them (none).

I just transferred my wordpress.com to wordpress.org and installed the NewsMag (which I love!), and I resized some of the photos, but they don’t show either. Where should I look?

Hi, I’ve just installed Newsmag and I’m trying to get my page all setup. I’m having an issue setting up the homepage/static page on my site. The width of the boxed area of the page is not adjusting so that I can show the Big Grid with the big picture and the smaller pictures to the right. The smaller pictures are wrapping below it. I adopted the “Page builder + latest articles + pagination” template for my homepage design. and inserted the widgets in Visual Composer.

Can you tell me how to increase the boxed width of the entire page? I have seen others using Newspaper and Newsmag that have a larger boxed size and the Big Grid works fine. I have not found the answer in the documentation or a cursory search of the forum.

I am confused. I am trying to install the plugin for the first time. I see it in the required plugin section in APPEARANCE/INSTALL PLUGINS – however when I try to install, I get an error saying the target directory already exists. I cannot delete the plugin and reinstall from here. I cannot activate or install from here.

I then tried to upload as the instructions direct in the forum suggest. I get the same message: target directory already exists. It thinks it is there, but it won’t let me install.

If I go to the theme plugin section, the plugin does not appear in either installed or activated. How do I install or update?

I just installed and add some posts.

I choose default templete (Homepage -bg with article list).

Big Slider is blank.No post appear.

How can I fix this?

I just installed the theme and I’m getting familiar with it. Great work! I have my first (of many future) questions…

How do I remove or relocate the category listings under the title of a blog post? I have already gone into theme options/breadcrumbs and disabled all breadcrumbs (I know its not the same thing but I thought I’d try). In Post Settings, I also disabled “show tags on post” I cannot find any other place to remove or relocate category listings

What else do I have to disable (And where)??? If I cant remove them from the page, can I relocate them?

Hello, i want to replace default wordpress comment system with facebook comments,
i have already research on this forum for facebook comment, i saw some people recommended this plugin:

I have installed Newsmag and enjoy working with it. Just one problem. When I change the Fonts for Pages it only works if I don´t use Visual Composer. If i use it the Fonts reamin as default.
What to do?

Iv just installed v. 1.5 and have translated the “%curr% of %total%” to “%curr% av %total%” in the translation page.
But it still show “%curr% of %total%” in the frontend og the page?

What could be the problem ?
