Hi,
I recently installed the Newspaper theme on my blog (http://www.duperrin.com/english/) and everything works fine except that the featured image is not displayed on single posts. I only get an empty placeholder.
I’d like to fix this befor I remove the images from the post body to avoid duplicate images but nothing I tried (including regenerating thumbnails) worked.
I have “sister blog” supposed to be identical except the language (http://www.duperrin.com) and everything worked fine there. I doubled checked all my settings, they’re the same.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have two licenses for the Newspaper theme and I’m trying to make some of the images on the front page round.
The only way to do this is with CSS on a div, but i need to identify the div in some way, and your divs have the class=”thumb-wrap” but don’t have any form of individualization.
Is there any way you could implement this change in your theme as to give users the possibility of affecting the intended div with our CSS code ? The ideal would be each post div have the categories the author chose inside the class (for example: class=”thumb-wrap europe society”) and like that your CSS would work and we would code the css for “europe” or “society” or whatever we wanted.
I ask this because if i do it myself and change the theme, then i can’t continue installing theme updates when you release them, and i think this would be a nice visual addition to the Newspaper theme.

I tried it on two other websites with Newspaper theme and it’s working fine. I don’t know what different on this website. Is there any option that could be the problem? I have bought Newspaper three times and installed the same plugin on all the sites.
I have installed a plugin called Facebook Comments (https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-comments-plugin/). The plugin is working but it is being displayed in the wrong location. It is appearing at the bottom of the post, above the author box, related posts and sharing options. I would rather the comments appear underneath these (like it does with the default comments system).
Also, on my homepage I want to use the Big Grid: see http://www.monged.com/
The issue is that I want more posts to be displayed and the infinite scroll. Is this possible please.

I bought today the theme and i am an amateur who is learning WP. I installed the sample data and i added a logo and one ad banner on the header and it looked great. So i have here a few questions before i keep on creating things.
1. If i finish all the development of the website on the sample data ( i am working on localhost ), how can i see what my real website looks like and how can i move it to a real server to display it on the web if this is a sample data.
2. In sample data all functions of template settings are not working and to be honest i think more stuff are not working.
3. Would it be better to remove the sample data? And if so how can i do it? I found a plugin to reset data and may be this could work so to avoid to do it manually since i don’k know what files to delete. Do you have any solution or can you guide me to what i should delete.
One solution that i am thinking is to open in xampp a new database and download again wordpress and your theme and start everything from scratch since i did not make a lot of things anyway.
Let me know your thoughts and advices

Did you activate visual composer? for some reason my site goes 500 unless the visual composer is installed
Any plugin that I install to utilize the Newspaper 4 theme layout such as Radio Station and CM Download Manager the middle section of the website loses its formation. Also, the content in the middle section is not responsive but I use the plugin [shortcode] in a page or post it retains the responsive feel.
For example:

Goal: To still use the plugin with the theme layout and still retain the responsive feature.

I’m also having problems with the big slide.
On load, the area where the big slide should appear is blank. But if you resize the browser all the images appear. So I’m not sure if this is perhaps a responsive issue? I don’t have any errors in the console. So I’m not sure what the cause could be.
My install background:
Purchased on 30 December 2014. Installed the 31st December 2014 release version.
Installed dummy data.
Regenerated thumbnails using the plugin provided in your documentation, as this site had existing content.

Hi,
You do not have to worry about that as updating the theme will not remove the settings you’ve chosen only if the customizations where made to the theme files, in that case you can take note of the changes you’ve made any redo them after each update as the theme files will get overwritten.
Please always make sure you back-up your current theme installation so that you can revert back to it if something goes wrong.

I’ve manage to change the order by installing taxonomy order in my wordpress installation and changing order of categories via this plugin, and it worked in mega menu. Thanks for very specific instructions for deleting the “All” part.

Yujp, I think they might have had different versions on the 2 options Themeforest gives you to download: “all theme files” and “wordpress installalle files only”.
I felt like i was taking crazy pills.
Radu I already know how to enabled it and wich are the posts chosed by the system, simply because I did it some months ago and it work fine for a long time.
This problem It appeared in the last few days without any changes in settings, maybe after install the latest version of your theme.
Any ideas?

Unfortunately we had some issues with the plugin version which was included into the last theme update but we have managed to fix it. You can download the theme form themeforest and install the plugin for /plugins folder as instructed here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
@bonfaru You can also download the theme with the right plugin from themeforest install it according to the guide I have mentioned and please let me know if this still happens.

Well. everything is still completely broken.
I even tried it on a brand new install of wordpress, same exact error. It can’t be other plugins, or any other settings, it is the theme/plugin which is the issue…
I really want this to work with the latest version of wordpress… It feels like i bought a half baked product.
So I haven’t reported back, because I sort of gave up for a while. I’m back at it now though. So I called 1&1 about 6 different times, but mostly they couldn’t or didn’t want to help. Finally one of them told me that it would not be possible for me to make the changes, because I had installed wordpress in the root folder. He suggested for me to move my installation to a subfolder. When I did that my php.ini was being read, but still no luck in changing the upload max. through the php.ini.
Then I came back here and found Marius’ suggestions.
When I made the change in wp-config it changed to 8MB. Then I tried the other suggestion of just putting the 2-3 lines I really really needed in my php.ini and FINALLY THINGS WORK.

And if anybody is having trouble with php settings on 1&1, move your installation to a subfolder (better yet reinstall) and search on wordpress codex for the steps to make it work as if it was installed in the root.

I have removed the visual composer folder via ftp as you stated but I am still getting this error message when I try to reinstall it.
The plugin does not have a valid header.

Where can I down load the visual composer folder from, to upload via ftp?

Please make sure that you deleted the plugin and also remove the plugins folder via FTP: http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Uninstalling_Plugins
After this install the plugin from the plugins folder, do it like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/ but for the social counter plugin.
