Ensure that you have properly updated the theme via FTP way according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/, check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ PHP memory is very important in this case to be increased as properly. It’s possible that the parameter to be exhausted and that’s why this functionality does not work.

Do I understand correctly that if someone wants now new Newspaper updates they need to rebuild the whole website from the beginning? Because of this is exactly I faced today morning when I decided to upgrade Newspaper theme. Within 3 minutes I restored the previous version from backup. And yes I have TagDiv composer installed and activated, but I use WPBakery. The reason is simple, the whole website has been built by using WPBakery, there was no TagDiv composer back in that time. Also, WPBakery is way more user-friendly, understandable and easier to use than tagdiv which looks pretty complicated and rough. And anyway changing it would also mean to build everything up from the beginning.
Anyway if Envato makes new rules and are forcing Theme builders to change stuff and make them change themes less user friendly, maybe it’s time to say bye bye to Envato?

Please provide some more details about this problem and some screenshots.
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

We followed all of the steps from the documentation precisely, and have never experienced this issue before. We will try the FTP method as recommended but are surprised that a complete remove & reinstall is necessary.

We recommend to make first an install to a copy to your website on sub-domain or localhost -> https://www.screencast.com/t/wVH9sfkTV312 in this update all that is changes are some files that was moved in our theme, and is possible some settings that was made in child theme to have a different path.

the requirments are ok from the first install and everything worked like a charm till the last update.
I’ve spent the entire morning in trying to do all the things you suggested in the list with no luck (no plug in/no cache/htaccess edit ect. ect.).
I’m not using the child theme (it was on before the last update), because also if i replace the child files with the latest version on Theme Forest, when activated the mobile version stop working..so had to switch to the main theme.
Also tried to rebuild from zero the homepage on a blank new page but when i start the composer i have the same message and the editor doesn’t load at all.
Please help cause we are near Easter and it’s one of the moment of the year in wich we have a lot of traffic of the website.

How exaclty you have updated your theme? Hi, I have updated my Newspaper theme to v9.7 today successfully. Installed through the ‘Envato Market WP plugins’ but I have a problem. After the update, the Top/Bottom articles sharing/like social icons not showing up anymore even though I’ve enabled them. It was working fine before the update. Does anyone else having the same problem? Do you know how to fix it? Please help me. Thank you in advance.

First of all I would like to thanks to you for creating such a wonderful theme. Now, Let’s come to the point, Recently I installed the mobile theme on my site. Moreover, when researching the Google Search I found that two of my pages yields the same title and meta description. I have shared with you guys the screenshot to better understand my point.
Now, My question is Does Google consider it as a Duplicate content and Penalize my site. If so, could you guys please give me some solution. I really like to use Mobile+AMP configuration but looking at this I have changed the configuration to AMP only. You know what I mean.

I have purchased newsmag and downloaded the zip themeforest-9512331-newsmag-news-magazine-newspaper-wordpress-theme.zip
I then went to wordpress, manage themes, add new, then clicked on upload theme, then chose the zip file, then clicked on install now
After a while I get to the “oops that’s page can’t be found” page
Is Gutenberg required to use tagDiv? I had to install the Classic editor in order to use the Featured Image. Since installing the Classic editor, I cannot find the link to use tagDiv.
So i have installed the new version of your theme and .. i start to make some changes… everyithing works perfect but when i try to change alt for images it doesn’t display on frontend
I go in Media – and select each image and complete the forumlar for alt tag
I reselect the images in the container ( Themes -> newspaper -> logo retina / logo ###### Page edit background reselect image )
And don’t appear on frontend… can you check on my website http://eurobg.eu
Ok, I took another run at it and I JUST fixed it on my site.
I tried a variation of desiyatri’s approach. Using CPanel’s file manager I deleted the Newspaper folder and then re-extracted the zip file. That seemed to clear it up. Site is working again fully.
Oddly, with this approach Id didn’t have to re-install the plugins or even reenable the theme. It seems to be working right out of the box…

Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. Also, make sure that you have correctly installed the theme and if you are using some untested plugins, please disable all of these and leave just to active only the required plugins.

I tried several times to update, deactivate and reinstall a (manually via FTP and via wordpress) and the error is still there.

Not taken the chance to update to the new version yet but have a questions regarding WPBakery which I use with Newspaper.
You write that: “4.2 Existing customer previously using the WPBakery Page Builder
This update will bring a small change in the way you work with Newspaper Theme as you will need to activate the tagDiv Composer plugin and keep it enabled.
Go to your WordPress admin area > Newspaper> Plugins and click the tagDiv Composer “Install/Activate” button.”
How is this if you have WPBakery as a separate plugin? I’ve got a separate license for WpBakery and don’t use the version that comes with the theme. Do I still need to activate Tagdiv composer? Last time I activeted tagdiv composer it caused all sorts of problems (and it can’t be used on pages) so I would prefer to avoid having it activated.
Hope you can give me some good advice.

When I had setup the AMP plugin only originally the amp pages were showing up even on google analytics but when I installed the Mobile theme the amp pages wont show up when I use my mobile phone to test with any settings. Nothing on google analytics on amp urls either.
I have deactivated the mobile theme plugin and still the amp pages dont work on my mobile phone.

Never mind. I found it.
Go to your WordPress admin area > Newspaper > Welcome. Click the “Install/Activate Plugins” button. All the plugins in the list will be activated, and you are ready to create amazing content.
Then composer updated. Then problem fixed.
