Hi,
That would happen if there is no content entered in the mobile editor for the respective page.
When the mobile theme is active each page will require you to enter content in the mobile editor – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
If there isn’t any the page will be empty on phones.
The mobile theme is an optional plugin, it is created for improved performance on mobile. If it’s not active the same content from desktop will be displayed on phone as well.
Currently I see that the page is not empty on mobile, so that means there is content in the mobile editor for it.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
There is a setting for it in the theme panel post settings – http://prntscr.com/oby2h6
The setting is general, it will affect both desktop and mobile. If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
Can I use only Amp instead of mobile theme +Amp. Is there any SEO impact going with only AMP.
How to show more post in theme “related article” part. Or show more category in mobile theme on home page
Hello Tagdiv support,
I have 2 issues:
1. I would like to move the Above Post ADS (YOUR ARTICLE TOP AD )to Left a little bit because as you can see my website is RTL

However in MOBILE, they are 1000% responsive , just in DESKTOP there is this issue.
2. Since I bought the theme, the ( YOUR ARTICLE INLINE AD ) never appears even though I set them after 2 paragraphs, In mobile AMP they appears after 2 paragraphs, but in desktop or when I visit my website via mobile they don’t appears , how can I fix this?
3. If you visit my website via mobile, you will see that the Search button is on the menu button like an error, I want to disable the button of search for mobile.
I used this CUSTOM CSS under Mobile theme in THEME PANEL but it didn’t work
#td-header-search-button-mob {
display: none;
}
.header-search-wrap {
display: none;
}
I want to hide post navigation on both mobile and mobile themes. Can you help me. Here’s the picture

Hi,
That is how the mobile theme works. The mobile version of pages will not be the same as the desktop version. This is explained in the guide – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
So while the desktop page can be built with the composer, and contain blocks, grids etc. the mobile version is limited to the mobile editor – http://prntscr.com/o8vbaq
If a page contains no content in the mobile editor, on phones it will be empty when the mobile theme is active.
The homepage on mobile displays a top grid with featured posts
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Then there will be a latest articles section. If you enter content in the mobile editor for the homepage, it will be displayed between those 2 sections.
If you want to see see how the mobile theme looks and works, please check this demo with a phone, it has the plugin active – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/
I should note that in coming updates there will be more options added for the mobile theme, like for example the option to disable it for specific pages and many others.
The plugin is optional, if you want the same content from desktop to be displayed on phones, you can disable the mobile theme plugin.
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Thanks for your reply,
but with my three problems only one problem solved and that is how to delete the empty column in tagdivi composer [ solved ].
Now, look the big problem in my website [ http://www.akhourigen.com ] is that i have a video playlist in the homepage and also a separate page for the videos and these videos is not showing in mobile version. i have tried everything as you told me earlier but nothing worked for me. i have tried to switch off the mobile theme but not worked.
also in mobile version not a single grid is showing as a post only the latest post shows [ no grid is showing nor my video is showing in mobile version ]
Videos is very important for my website to show as on desktop version and also on mobile version, i want to show both as i uploaded a separate video form from the add media option of post or a video youtube playlist. i want that people see my website post and videos on every devices. [ want everything in mobile version with AMP too.]
So, tell me the step by step point that how to achieve that because your tutorial page not worked for me.
last problem is that the big grid full 9, i don’t have any background image still the grid is small, it’s not coming up with full width.
Make sure to provide the clear steps that how to do it.
thanks.

Hello !
You can take a look in this topic since this “issue” has been figured out: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-categories-are-the-same/ Or you can wait till our next update since this will be an option from then on!
I hope this helped you !
Thank you !
Hello !
To make your custom pages visible into the Mobile Theme they need to be recreated inside the Mobile Editor tab. It supports custom HTML and photos too !
This Mobile Editor does not recognize a page builder so the tagDiv Composer shortcodes cannot be rendered: https://forum.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/mobile-theme.png
Find out more about it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you !
Hello !
The designs do not match because you are using the mobile theme. The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme. Cloud templates are included. They do no work while having mobile theme.
Hope this was helpful !
Thank you !
Hello !
For the 3 blocks, you’ll need to have to set the post to be in the Featured category so Mobile theme will display the latest 3 articles from FEATURED Post category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4
I hope this was helpfull !
Thank you !
Hello,
If I understand correctly, you want to know if you can activate the mobile theme only on some selected posts/pages for achieve speed and for few posts/pages of theme to use the responsive version of the theme, unfortunately for the moment our theme do not have this option, maybe this will be include in our theme in the coming updates.
Thank you!
Hi,
The ads from your screenshot are set in theme panel in mobile theme -> https://www.screencast.com/t/oncn2dLoALA or you are using some plugins for ads, you’ll need to remove/deactivate the ads for mobile.
Thank you!
Hi,
I thought that you are using the mobile theme which has a different layout than the desktop version but I saw that you are not using the mobile theme. I have checked your website and it seems to be the same – desktop/mobile. On the mobile, the general responsive mode version is enabled as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/3tEjwIc7so If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thank you!
Hi! My homepage doesn’t display the 3 featured posts on mobile devices, only the ‘Latest Articles’.
Mobile + AMP is activated and of course, all the newspaper’s plugins installed.
How do you make it so that the homepage on mobile devices has both?
Thanks in advance
I have the site http://www.snowsbest.com and we have a weather snow forecast widget on the site in the sidebar. We also have it set up on 15 individual pages for 7 day detailed forecasts – example here: Snowsbest.com/snow-forecast/thredbo
We update the forecasts automatically ever 12 hours at 3.00am and 3.00pm. The widget then will say “last updated x of hours ago”.
The issue I have is that when I am logged in to the backend of my Newspaper theme WP site I can see that the widgets have all updated in sidebar and on the pages and it will say however many hours it was last updated (up to 12 hours).
HOWEVER when I open a private window or am logged out of the site or am on a mobile device the widget is not always updating and often says “updated 1 day ago” or “updated 18 hours ago” when all updates are made every 12 hours.
This is a problem as my site is regularly visited by people looking for updated snow forecasts.
I have WP Super Cache installed and wonder how to fix those settings if they are wrong? Do I need a different cache for dynamic content?
Any help would be appreciated, I have been asking two developers and they have not been able to come up with a solution.
Rachael
Hi,
Thank you for the kind words, we will try to help as much as possible.
1. There is an explanation for this. Is there a general background set in the theme panel?
If a background color or image is set in the theme panel, the website will be boxed, in order to display the background. Please check if that is the case. Removing the background will allow full width grids and other wider elements.
2. Maybe the mobile theme plugin is active – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
When the plugin is active, the mobile pages, posts, etc will be different from desktop. However this plugin is optional, if you want the same content from desktop on mobile you can disable it.
I should mention that in coming updates there will be an option to choose for which pages or posts you want the mobile theme to be active.
3. Using the clear option on a row will only remove it’s content. If you want to remove a row you can click and drag it to the right corner – https://www.screencast.com/t/LocGydRWO
or click on it and hit the delete key on the keyboard.
If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
Yes, you can have sub menus in mobile theme, but not mega menu as sub menu, the submenu need to be set as in this documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/main-menu/
Thank you!
Hi,
Indeed the menu in mobile version is not working on post and you get some errors in console -> https://www.screencast.com/t/koEbs3qZrFI
Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all plugins and child theme ( if you are using ) and let only the tagDiv Composer , clear all cache, deactivate the cache plugin and try again.
Here are some resources I found online, maybe they are helpful
– https://coffeencoding.com/load-google-fonts-5x-faster-in-wordpress/
– https://stackoverflow.com/questions/54277912/ensure-text-remains-visible-during-webfont-load-not-getting-resolved-in-google-p
– https://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/using-font-face/
– https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2016/02/font-display
Let me know the results!
Thanks.
The theme structured data is defined in the theme code, it can’t be disabled by a setting. For posts it can be found here – http://prntscr.com/oah1i0 the only way to disable it would be to manually remove it from the theme files.
Regarding the breadcrumb, it should be like this:
Desktop – http://prntscr.com/oah3on
Mobile (no mobile theme) – http://prntscr.com/oah3x9
So the only difference would be that the article title is hidden on mobile. What is happening in your case? Please post a link to the website so I can take a look, if possible.
I don’t quite understand the google bot issue. What exactly is the problem you are having?
Hi,
For the moment there are no option in our theme to sort the posts display in the mobile theme plugin, maybe this will be include in coming updates.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
Now I understanding, you are referring to the sing in/ join image, https://spurt.no/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/mobile-theme-menu.png this will appear only if you have this option activate -> https://www.screencast.com/t/GkWS6qCmBD also the normal sub-menus will be display in mobile menu, only the mega menu will not be display -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ccU0Z4DE -> https://www.screencast.com/t/0vPqCxc6yKaC results -> https://www.screencast.com/t/KvRzVSkf
Thank you!
Hello,
I loved your newspaper theme and recently i have purchased the this theme and now i have almost completed my website building but there is a three problem in it:
1- The ” Big grid full 9 ” is not working as a full width grid on my homepage in fact not any big grid full option is working as a full width grid for a homepage on my website.
2- My website is not showing as same on mobile devices as it is showing on my desktop pc. also i don’t have any jetpack plugin so let me know the final step what to do.
3- In ” tagdiv composer ” tell me how to delete the empty column because i have used the option ” clear ” but nothing happened.
