Hi I created a page with TD composer. The first row has a three column layout where I inserted Elements: Title over Images. The second row has a one column layout where I inserted another Element: Title over Image. The layout looks good on desktop but when I switch to mobile view, the second row cuts off the sides of the Element.
I’d be happy to exclude the second row in mobile view, but I don’t know how to do that. Tried in mobile editor but couldn’t get it to work. Could you please advise?
Hi, I have updated to AMP and Newspaper Mobile Theme. But, I have an 404 error in all pages.
And I have already allowed AMP in all pages, but they are not working. Please, what can I do?
Thank you so much in advance.
Leire
Hi Catalin,
Thanks for the reply.
I made the modification in the file by placing the category ID as follows:
<?php
//show mobile grid only if Featured cat exists
if ( get_cat_ID(TD_FEATURED_CAT) !== 0) {
echo do_shortcode('[td_block_big_grid_mob_1 category_id="29" sort="featured"]');
}
?>
<?php the_content(); ?>
But when wanting to use only the posts in the category (id=29) are not shown in the Theme Mobile.
I’m forgetting to do something?
Thanks.
Hi
I am using Newspaper Mobile Theme for AMP only.
The responsive mobile header looks like this:
http://www.screencast.com/users/narinder912/folders/Default/media/edae994a-1c7c-4f0b-85ba-d60c9b558c0d
In this header, the hamburger and search icons are both correctly aligned with the post content. There is also a border at the bottom of the header.
The header when viewed in Mobile Theme, looks like this: http://www.screencast.com/users/narinder912/folders/Default/media/c932f7fd-67bf-46c0-b00e-690b6e6bcb4c
The hamburger and the search icons have more padding on each side (both have come inwards) and also the bottom border is gone. I have tested this with different display size mobile phones with the same result.
I would like to have the same header look for both my responsive and mobile theme designs. Can you please give a fix for these two issues?
My website address is: https://www.desiyatri.com
Thanks.
Hi,
This problem is usually caused by some plugins that create some conflict ( untested plugins), please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme ( or cache plugin ), clear all cache deactivate the cache/child plugin and try again.
Please make sure that you set the amp like in our documentation
How to Make an AMP Ready Website with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/

Also please check some similar topics -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-problem-4/
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately, this functionality is not supported on mobile theme, sorry! We cannot say for sure if this functionality will be or not implemented in our future updates.
Thank you!
Hi,
Try again because the link is correct and should works!
It will require to load the font first, then apply it with CSS for the elements you want. This is a similar topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/change-mobile-theme-font/
More useful information here – https://developers.google.com/fonts/docs/getting_started
So load the font first, then identify the elements where you want to apply it with the browser inspector for example

Thanks.
Hi,
Please check our documentation for Amp -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/

If there is still a problem please provide some more details about it.
Thank you!
Hi,
In that section, are talking about the type of your sort order like FEatured, Latest, ASC, DESC and not the slug of the category. If you want to do this, you need to add a category_ID parameter. Please check the following useful topic from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-featured-posts/
Thank you!
why is infinite scrolling not working mobile? mobile themes disabled. https://jborder.ru
Hi,
1. That is true, the mobile theme doesn’t have many settings at the moment. There will be more added in the future. However we have to be careful what we add in it, to maintain it’s speed. Not having may settings and using mostly predefined templates is what makes it fast.
2. What exactly is not functional? Currently the solution we provide is not a dedicated AMP plugin, now you can use the official AMP plugin and the mobile theme
– https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
From what I can see you are using this solution at the moment, seems to be valid
– http://prntscr.com/n4ic9l
3. I checked with a mac using Safari version 12.0.2 (14606.3.4), from what I can see everything looks alright, same as on Chrome for example. Let me know if I should check anywhere specific.
4. The only review system the theme has is like this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/reviews-2/
I am not aware of any plans to add more review or rating capabilities in the theme. Maybe you could use a plugin for this.
5. I don’y quite understand what you mean. The theme uses thumbnails, also category tags. Some more details would be helpful.
6. If there weren’t this many font settings or only for grouped elements, users would request more specific settings. Almost anything has font settings in the theme panel (these are general) and in the tagDiv composer (for specific items).
However something like what you are describing is in development. Not sure how exactly it will be at the moment, but it will be easier to manage the fonts.
7. I made a quick test on my side with a cloud search template, the search works for me same as with the default search template. What exactly is happening in your case?
8. A cloud post smart list template can be used for posts that consist of a smart list. This template will appear anywhere the other post templates appear. If I misunderstand, some more details would be helpful.
9. I can add this on our suggestion list, I don’t believe there were similar request before. There are plugins that could be used for this.
10. How are you testing this? For me the version of this post page
– http://localhost/wp_s2/gadgets/how-to-drive-growth-through-customer-support/
Looks like this – http://prntscr.com/n4isd0
Let me know.
Thanks
Hi Whaletb,
Unfortunately, the Newsmag does not support the Mobile theme, sorry! The AMP sohuld works as expected if it was correctly installed on your website. Please enable this plugin and provide your website URL so we can check how it works. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please remove all of them, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.
Thank you!
Hi,
Using the new version of mobile theme + AMP you’ll have the same design for AMP posts/pages link on mobile.
1. Please make sure that you set the amp like in our documentation for How to Make an AMP Ready Website with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
2. If you want to turn of some AMP post/page you need to use the AMP option from mobile theme -> https://www.screencast.com/t/K71l6QDBvl and you can turn of the AMP for post pages ( for those will be show the mobile version ).
3. The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
Thank you!
Hi,

This link is 404
How do we change the font for mobile theme?
Hi,
Please make sure that you set the AMP like in our documentation -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
Also if you have some custom css set in Newspaper>Theme panel>Mobile theme>Custom css please remove it, clear all cache and try again with validator.
Thank you!
Hi,
All that is required is to install the mobile theme and AMP plugins
– https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
Those options should appear in the theme panel after doing this
– http://prntscr.com/n4hr4f
If they still do not, maybe the theme hasn’t been updated properly. Try to reinstall it by FTP, this is the most reliable and recommended method
– https://tagdiv.com/how-to-install-newspaper-theme/
Or maybe a plugin is the cause. Try deactivating all the plugins except theme plugins and AMP. Check if this fixes the problem.
In case the problem remains, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.
Thanks
Hi, I updated theme day before yesterday and my website started with amp error: “The mandatory tag ‘head > style[amp-boilerplate]’ is missing or incorrect.”.
I have checked “USE MOBILE THEME FOR: Mobile + AMP” in mobile theme option and using official AMP plugin.
All the pages are fetching this error e. g. this page
Thanks
Hi,
I found the code needed to disable lazyload on an image class. I have searched through the theme editor, but I can’t find any lazyload code.
I’m hoping you can give me the correct newspaper code to add in place of the ‘rocket’ wording. I’ll then be able to also add the code for the front big grid section of the homepage. I think many Newspaper users will find this helpful, especially on mobile devices.
+++function rocket_lazyload_exclude_class( $attributes ) {
$attributes[] = ‘class=”td-post-featured-image”‘;
return $attributes;
}
add_filter( ‘rocket_lazyload_excluded_attributes’, ‘rocket_lazyload_exclude_class’ );+++
I’m currently working with WPML plugin and created a multilingual website but the live search is not working the second language which’ve translated instread its fetching articles from the english version and also its showing pages in the result which i want to exclude,please help with this or tell me how can i integrate google cse with my website for both desktop and mobile theme version
I am using ShareThis Plugin for social media sharing as the default theme plugin has less sharing options. The plugin works fine on simple mobile version & desktop version of my site but for some reason it doesn’t work on AMP version of my blog posts.
The social buttons are supposed to be at the bottom of the page but for some reason they are unavailable on AMP Pages as you can see above. I have enabled all the settings of this plugin that were required for this to work but ShareThis social buttons just won’t show on AMP version of the blog posts.
Please resolve.
I’m trying to get AMP running on my site, after installation, google console listed two major errors, “Disallowed attribute or attribute value present in HTML tag“and “Referenced AMP URL is not an AMP“. It showed 123links having this particular error saying “Referenced AMP URL is not an AMP”. I’m not really sure how to fix this, I don’t even understand what it means. I’ve tried searching for solutions online but couldn’t find any talking about this error. I’ve disabled the plugin already.
Also, does Newsmag also come with a mobile theme? because i didn’t get it as shown in the theme installation guide.
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I now come back to square 1. In my previous comment I said that the Mobile Theme was working, but I don’t know how, but now it is not working again. It is displaying the theme as if the plugin weren’t installed and I haven’t made any changes at all. I tried deactivating the plugin and activating it again, but I get the mobile version of the desktop theme.
This is frustrating, because I don’t know what is making this happenning again. I checked the system status of the theme and it says that the Newspaper mobile version is active. And it is also frustrating because answer, as very helpful as they are, should be faster.
I am having a few issues with AMP.
1. When trying to validate it is giving me an error in validation saying this “The extension ‘amp-web-push’ was found on this page, but is unused. Please remove this extension.”
2. My about, contact aren’t displaying correctly. My understanding was that if I turned the AMP of on those pages it would just display the regular responsive version? That’s what I need so my contact forms etc show.
3. The info on Terms of use and my privacy policy shows no content on mobile. It shows the title and that’s it.
Thanks
note: I have deactivated the mobile theme and amp for now because of the issues. I hope you can still help.
website https://vapesinthehood.com
1. Mobile theme has a very small number of options in admin panel. Which makes it difficult to control the appearance.
2. AMP is not 100% functional. It would be better to add complete AMP support.
3. Design of my website is messed up in safari. (https://modo.pk)
4. It would be great if you can start rating as an option to individual templates it is a great option for posts like recipes. It needs to be added as an option to comments module.
5. It would be great to have post categories covers/thumbnails.
6. Too Many fonts setting based on this and that which makes it difficult to work with. A website should have similar user interface and type settings across the site. I am not sure if someone else needs these kinds of tons of options to go through every time you change your mind to change the font. Maybe grouping them into headings>post headings>category headings>Then body font that should do it. But if it is the requirement some other individuals it is completely okay to leave things as they are.
7. Search cloud custom template is not working. But the built-in template works fine.
8. A smart list custom template is not working because it places it in general templates which don’t work. Plus there is only module to control the smart list setting which is not sufficient. Maybe you need to do something about it, just not sure yet. I will post once something comes in my head.
9. Tooltips: They look great as well they make the site standout best use of the tooltips could be difficult words meanings, external/internal links, and Acronym/Abbreviations.
10. Last but not least. The print: I tested this on a custom template which prints like an entire page. Including social icons, tags, post images (only placeholder space), related posts, and breadcrumbs which is too much.
Here is how it should work: Title + featured image + content + name of the site/URL in the footer. That should be it.
