@calin
I dont know who is @Jumich,
But Im glad you find out that if you search my website in google, it sends you to an AMP page
That means that AMP is working properly on my website
The problem that Im trying to tell you is that the mobile theme does not load AMP
In fact, mobile theme is just not loading on my site when I select the
USE MOBILE THEME FOR: AMP
And when I select the
USE MOBILE THEME FOR: MOBILE+AMP then the theme loads but does not load AMP
Hi espedfk2,
I checked again and your menu is working, but I think that you do not quiet understand how mobile theme plugin is working!
The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to use for pages that are made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) only the mobile editor, also for mobile theme the content for pages need to be set in mobile editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
Please check carefully our documentation for Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme ->https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Thanks.
Hi,
The problem with the mobile version that appear only sometimes can be a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme ( or cache plugin ), clear all cache deactivate the cache plugin and try again.

Hi,
That demo doesn’t have the AMP plugin active, it can be checked out on mobile as it has the mobile theme active. The AMP variant will look exactly the same.
Now after the latest update, to test AMP you can add to the URL this /?amp we have updated the documentation – https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
There is an issue with the AMP comments currently, meaning that the fields of the comments don’t have a description or placeholder – http://prntscr.com/n2zr14
For this issue there is a quick fix in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-and-mobile-theme/
I could take a look if there are problems when using our mobile theme and AMP. Please post a link to the website so I can test with the validator.
Thanks
Using official AMP plugin by WordPress but don’t want to use tagdiv mobile theme. Please tell me how to make homepage AMP ready without tagdiv mobile plugin?
Hi,
What kind of AMP plugin or implementation are you using? The posts and other pages seem to have AMP available – http://prntscr.com/n2z8p1 – http://prntscr.com/n2z8zh only the homepage doesn’t.
Our solution consists of mobile theme and official AMP plugins, as mentioned here
– https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
But using these plugins is not required or forced, you can use other AMP plugins if needed.
Thanks
There were some other reports from our users with the ad sizes not being respected, especially 300px sizes, on mobile only.
We are making some tests on our side, but the adsense ads we are using are displaying properly at all times for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/J3tQnujr – https://www.screencast.com/t/VQjC6psBHL
Something may be affecting them in specific cases, we will run some more tests. Try to set the ad sizes to a smaller size in the theme panel, below 300px, just for mobile. Let us know.
I just updated to the latest version. I updated the mobile plugin and Downloaded the WP Amp plugin. When I view the site on mobile, it looks fine, but when I add “amp” to the back of the URL as I have in the past to test amp, it’s broken. It shows hyperlinks instead of the social share icons, and my footer is now a bunch of code and HTML. See the URL here: http://goingfor2.com/running-back-perfect-pairings/?amp
Hi,
In order to achieve that AMP layout please check our documentation for amp -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
You need to use the mobile theme with amp, in this way the Amp will look like mobile theme and will have a menu and the design and functionality like mobile theme.
See the results -> https://www.screencast.com/t/1zRe9TpQaG
Thank you!
Hi,
I think that you are referring to those 3 blocks, for those you’ll need to have set seam feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4
You’ll need to add some post in feature category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ if you do not have this category you can create it, just make sure that you set the category name to be
Featured
Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
You can change the “Latest Article” from Theme panel translations ( this will work only if you do not have any text set in latest articles title ) -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HHSIjsak
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/BBRAQPvo
Thank you!
Hi,
In order to remove the footer logo from mobile theme you can use this custom css
.td-footer-wrap .td-footer-logo{
display: none;
}
Thank you!
Hi,
In order to remove the “About Us” section please set this custom css in Theme panel>Mobile theme>Custom code>Custom css
.td-footer-wrap .td-footer-description {
display: none;
}
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/3kvF3IwD
Thank you!
Hello,
Please first make sure amp is properly implemented as shown here: https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
The YouTube video shows the old implementation.
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, mobile theme and AMP clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
The amp logo on the footer can only be removed by removing this code from the mobile theme: https://www.screencast.com/t/Yk2eGAyDOMi
Thank you!
Hi,
The notice was added by us so you know you need the mobile theme plugin as well to go along with the amp plugin.
Thank you!
Hello,
The official implementation for amp required by our theme is this one:
https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
Please read this guide to learn about the mobile theme changes:
https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
We have not tested tha amp carousel though so there are no settings in this regard If you want to implement it manually, please read this guide:
https://ampbyexample.com/components/amp-carousel/
Thank you!
Hi @espedfk2,
Mobile theme is an editor not a builder like tagDiv Composer or WPBackery ( on those two builder is not good to use on the same time ).
@scott.dutton
Note that if you do not like to use the mobile theme plugin do not use it ( this is your choose ), our theme is responsive and will keep the content and layout that you made with tagDiv Composer you can do the same with the AMP plugin.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
The setting affects both desktop and mobile devices. You probably see the ones on posts, not the ones on the mobile theme modules. The method shown above is to remove the comment count for blocks and modules. For post, please remove it from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/oPOa4JbtDEKP
Thank you!
Did you see the screenshots I sent? Mobile + Amp is enabled.
The mobile theme plugin and AMP plugin provided by Tagdiv have been installed and activated this whole time.
My observation is that on occasion, the site will display the mobile theme and another occasion the responsive version. I really don’t know what to say here.
Responsive theme = all good except no pages are AMP
Mobile theme = Blog page works but all custom pages (about, contact, etc.) are grey.
I understand from the last link you sent that the mobile theme custom pages need to be built from scratch, since they allow for 2 different looks, one desktop and one mobile.
Maybe this is the problem here? Although I’m still not sure why the display hops from responsive theme to mobile theme if I have had the mobile theme active this whole time.
Hello Catalin,
I have the last version of everything…
I had to switch to a fonctionning AMP pluggin this WE to make it work…
I will not use your mobile theme until it’s deeply improved…
The analytics code is ok
Im telling you that since last update, mobile theme not load amp. It loads classic html
And when loading amp manually with ?amp, all links in that page sends you to non amp pages
Hi Catalin,
but why your example (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/td-post-the-hottest-wearable-tech-and-smart-gadgets-of-2016)
does not pass https://validator.ampproject.org/ test?
Any of my pages could not pass this test also regardless which option is active: Mobile, Mobile+AMP or AMP.
Please, comment.
_Update_:
Now I found out that it was again “?amp” for AMP links? Which is not so before theme update when the url was the same for AMP and not AMP pages? Is it right and why so?

Hi,
I have checked again your website and it seems to work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/XTzMnLI1z You desktop layout it seems to be displayed on the mobile mode, in the responsive mode what is right. If you will install the mobile theme, the layout will be changed to another layout for mobile. Check the Mobile Theme documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Hi byothe,
First of all, ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme NP 9.6.1. Here, it was made some improvements on AMP. That new update allows you to use the AMP with or without the Mobile theme. If you will use the AMP+Mobile Theme, the layout will look like this -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/td-post-the-hottest-wearable-tech-and-smart-gadgets-of-2016/ Also, you have access to the Comments section. Regarding customization, notice that the Mobile Theme has a default layout and do not have any such an option that allows you to make some changes from the Theme panel, sorry! For more information about Mobile Theme layout and functionality, please check the following documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Hi,
I have checked your website, the AMP seems to works as expected but on mobile, on your homepage, you get that white space because you do not have set up any Featured posts, sorry! Using the mobile theme, you need to add some posts inside the Featured Category, because this is the mobile theme default functionality. Also, check your AMP ads configuration because it seems that are not correctly displayed at your website.
Thank you!
