Hello,

¿Is it possible full-width images (featured/thumbnails) on mobile devices, same as seen in block 22?

I have tried to stretch the row to full-width but only works on non-mobile screens

Thanks

Hi Simon. Thanks for exploring the issue. It still remains unresolved. Became so frustrated that I deactivated tagDiv Mobile Theme. That fixed the problem. Why?

Hi

I have a question. I just want to add block – OUR LATEST POST (from 404.php) at the bottom of the single post. How to add or modify this code and paste to single.php?

<h4 class="block-title"><span><?php echo __td('OUR LATEST POSTS', TD_THEME_NAME) ?></span></h4>

                <?php

                $args = array(
                    'post_type'=> 'post',
                    'showposts' => 6
                );
                query_posts($args);

                $td_loop_block_module = td_util::get_option('tds_404_page_layout');
                //$td_loop_block_module

                locate_template('loop.php', true);
                //get_template_part('category', 'slider');
                wp_reset_query();

                ?>

of course after content and before widget (mobile)

Hello, I think I might be missing something but I can’t find the page template “mobile theme”, it doesn’t appear in my pages list. I have a static page selected as said in the mobile theme tutorial.
In addition, how can I get the categories to show in the menu of the mobile theme ? all I have is the logo.

/AMP/ and mobile plugin are two totally different things and unrelated.

The AMP plugin would serve the AMP version endpoint using template to those devices compatible with AMP, and mobile template shown to others.

You can hook the adsense ads into the amp template, using the Automattic AMP plugin; Google the topic as it’s not related to Newspaper in any way.

You generally need to edit the AMP template, or add function or plugin to hook the ad into the footer or header of the amp template via the hooks provided for that.

Food for thought anyway 🙂

Hello,

I would like to point out the “messed up” part. It is the footer become super long. If I read from mobile, it looks fine with 4 main categories: gourmet/travel/fashion/outdoor with 10 posts each.

However, when I run them on PC through google chrome or firefox, it looks so bizzard.

Please help to check out http://www.jazko.com and tell me if there is anywhere I can go to make this look normal again.

My front page setting would be slide on top , then four categories with block 16. That is all, with ads on top. Not a complicated setting.

Thank you.

Hi,

A cache can cause a delay before the changes on the website are displayed. Most caching plugins have configurations and settings in order to avoid this for known users for example. Also some caching plugins can interfere with the mobile theme plugin functionality.
The recommended caching plugin would be the WP Super Cache

Hi,

I have inspected the website on mobile, but I do not see any issue with the mobile menu at the moment

All the menu items work properly, there is no problem browsing the website on mobile. Please provide more details about this trouble so we can understand better and test further.

Thanks

When the page loads the hover effect is blue. The settings are set to transparent black. On the home page the first big grid when the page is viewed with google chrome the title of the post is not displayed correctly. At the bottom of the big grid in the left corner there is a little black cubes so post title is not on the bottom of the image. It’s normal that after every change on the page I need to clear cache because the page starts running in mobile view on Mozilla Firefox and on mobile phones it only shows the last posts. After clear cache everything returns to normal.
My website is: https://www.defender.hr

Hi,

If you are using the mobile theme, this has predefined templates for the homepage, post page, category page, etc. The homepage will always display a top grid containing posts you enter in the Featured category
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
In the bottom of the page, there will be a Latest articles section containing your latest posts. Content for mobile pages has to be entered through the Mobile editor, located in the page edit screen at the bottom.
More about the mobile theme plugin here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Please note that the mobile theme plugin is an optional plugin, not required. If it is not active, the same content from desktop will be displayed. The main theme has a fully responsive design and will adapt the website for mobile devices.

Thanks

Hello Watashi10,

Sorry but please notice that our theme does not have any such a control about this regard. You should try installing the Seo Yoast plugin and check the settings from there. Also, by default, if you will check our demo preview you will not see this changes between desktop mode and mobile mode.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

The mobile theme should apply only on mobile devices, not desktop. If the mobile theme is not functioning properly, please try as a test to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and clear all caching installed. Then check if there still is a problem.
If the problem is still occuring, please provide more details about what exactly is happening so we can inspect the issue. At the moment the mobile theme plugin does not seem to be installed on the website

Hi,

By default the top bar will not be displayed on mobile. There is no theme option to enable it. If it is absolutely necessary it could be made to display with custom code, like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/FIlbEiNcA
The code will also center align the menu items and date, you can remove that conditions if it is not needed. Enter the code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section

@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-top-menu-full,
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block!important;
text-align: center;
}}

Thanks

Hello,

This issue is not about responsiveness, It is about the top bar not being present on mobile devices. It was a design choice, not a bug.

Thank you!

Hi,

When using the mobile theme plugin, this will always display on the front page a Top grid (which displays posts from the Featured category) and a Latest articles section. The mobile theme does not have options to remove any of these elements. The latest articles title could be removed with some CSS if you don’t want it displayed.
Enter this code in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS section and it should remove the text “Latest articles”

.td-pb-article-list .block-title span{
display: none;
}

Thanks

Hi,

The top menu will not be displayed on mobilehttps://www.screencast.com/t/cU7hwoNYO0s There are conditions in the theme that remove the top bar, it could be made to display if it is absolutely necessary, with custom code.
If you could provide a link to your website, I will try to give you a solution to make the top bar display on mobile.

Thanks

Hi,

The breadcrumbs from the desktop version of my website are shown properly in Google search, meanwhile in the mobile I see the “date” instead of the category in the search engine.

website url: http://www.cronicasgeek.com

Desktop breadcrumbs in Google search >>> https://1drv.ms/i/s!AvukOOWBoFpAhjKvBNFce84Y5d4o

Mobile version: https://1drv.ms/i/s!AvukOOWBoFpAhjF-R-YXsrgoNxuT

Can you please tell me which one may be the reason? I’m using Newspaper 8.0 and I have the breadcrumbs on, as well as the mobile theme.

Thank you in advance,

Elvis.

Hello,

we have things working mostly, but is it possible to have the mobile theme menu feature on the regular template. This mobile theme removes a lot of our content areas and we can´t get it to look good and present all of our information correctly. Although the mobile menu option fixes our problems with our regular main menu, that appears very awkwardly on mobile without the mobile theme.

So we have good menu on one theme and good content layout on the other, is it possible to mix them?
