For increase speed, you can use the mobile theme plugin. you’ll gain a better speed then responsive version of the theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders or shortcodes ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in the mobile editor and this content will be display on the mobile theme, also the mobile theme will not display any sidebar)

When you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages on mobile will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout.

The Newspaper theme you guys have built is excellent in so many ways. But one real shortcoming is the difficulty in making custom page types. For example, with the current proliferation of fake news, most news aggregators, (Facebook included), expect news orgs to have at least 10 additional pages that cover ethics, ownerships, masthead, public policy, corrections, etc.
But Newspaper theme in its current state, provides no template for creating custom page types. So I have to create a cloud template, write the info into a column text box, optimize by screen size, copy the entire code to a new page, then copy the column text into the mobile editor and optimize everything for AMP. None of this can be done in Gutenberg and just saved as a custom page type.
With the critical nature of these additional pages in today’s media ecosystem, future newspaper updates should include a “policies” custom and page type/taxonomy.

I wanted to disable header ads for mobile view. so from Tagdiv homepage builder, i put header ads > css “hidden”. but now, when i want to “Show” it, ads not appearing. please help.
when I scroll down a page and reach its end, the page turns white and empty blank on mobile. Sometimes if I move back to the top slowly I can only make some elements reappear. The whole page reappears after a few seconds but scrolled back to the top slowly, how can I fix this?
Hi Calin, the screenshot is correct – but on that full header image, you should also be able to see the post title, category and meta information (as well as the down arrow).

The text either doesn’t appear (usually desktop) or is very faint (usually mobile).
Could image dimensions be an issue?
And what about the mobile version problem?

I’m using the mobile theme and I want to show some AMP Ads. But the AMP Ads should only show in the AMP Version and not in the normal mobile page. When I use the slot for Mobile Ads I see the ad in the amp version (sometimes) but also in the mobile version. Is there a way to split it up? Or is it possible to don’t show the -advertisement- on the mobile theme when only an AMP Ad is inserted for the AMP version of the layout?

It seems that the issue occurs whenever i edit font sizes, line heights and add CSS margins in landscape and portrait viewport. So now i only edit desktop and mobile and it it is working well.
Currently, I am encountering another situation where my header and footer have gone missing and this is shown on the bottom of my page:

Unfortunately, for AMP version you can add how many ads spots you can see if you access Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile Theme -> Mobile ads.

Unfortunately I’m not sure how this tool works because since you have the Mobile theme plugin google robots will see directly the mobile theme, your responsive version will never be loaded.
Can you show us what tool have you used. We will take a look to see if we can find something out of ordinary.

Please you will have to start looking for a plugin conflict. Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again, and check the results.

If you hide elements on mobile this does not increase speed, the elements are still loaded, but are only hidden for mobile.

This situation appear when you are using the mobile theme plugin and the cache plugin that you have does not feature options for a separate mobile theme plugin therefore do not know when to deliver the mobile version and when to deliver the desktop version.

I am facing some accessibility issues in my website, both in desktop and mobile views (in the responsive theme).
Background and foreground colors do not have a sufficient contrast ratio
– this comes from the TD Social Counter plugin, specifically in the Twitter label
Buttons do not have an accessible name
– this comes from the Live Search icon
Form elements do not have associated labels
– this comes from TD Newsletter plugin and from login form (that is not even enabled in my theme, but it is loaded)
Links do not have a discernible name
– this comes from all over the place, mostly after links in images or buttons
Is there a fix for that? Or better, do you guys know when, or if, this issues will be fixed?
They are not new issues, and searching in the forum, we can see that as early as 2018 they are known by the support and dev teams…

Dear TagDiv-Team, I have a big problem with a plugin. Until now I was using the Newspaper Ad-Placeholders on desktop and mobile theme. But here is no option to block certain referrers for AdSense Ads which is always leading to deductions in the earnings because of invalid clicks. AdSense doesn’t want traffic from Social Media, but I run a blog and so I have traffic from Social Media too.
Because I’m using a server-side caching I should configure the plugin so that the dynamic blocks are inserted client-side. But if I use this function there is always a CLS measured although on desktop layout as on mobile layout. It’s the same thing if I want to use an wrapper for the desktop ad and put the wrapper into the ad slot of the TagDiv-Composer. Why this is happening? How can it be avoided?
