Just because Adsense is the pickiest network and even having other content on the sidebar with it scrolling, they will find something to complain about and ban people. You think it you know it all most of the time. My first impression since I actually been on here for support was like I should of never been here at all. So if anyone has felt like they wasted their time on this support forums its others. You really have not been very nice Chris at least to me.

All I said is what I felt about Adsense and you flipped. They don’t even have use for PayPal. Of course I am go to use Adsterra because they do use PayPal and it also does pretty much the same as Adsense. I would never go back to Adsense. Sometimes I wondering if support is even worth it sometimes. Always find someone that wants to put others down.

Perhaps you need to read the TOS in future; I sure did. I’ve been part of the Adsense program since in beta. SO I do know more about it than you.

If you were blocked/booted it was likely for some other reason as they would have given you warning before actually booting you for non-compliance, based on my own experience on behalf of clients.

So, again – for those who think the newbies on here know what they are talking about – they don’t.

If you use the smart bar properly, to not focus on just ads, and your ad is only part of the content then it’s fine.

Read the TOS again — it relates to “bringing unnatural attention to an ad” — which is not done if the whole sidebar is sticky, and the ad is not the dominant element.

You can upload any image to your media folder, or ftp to a folder like /assets/ in your public root.

Docs for using non-adsense ads are in the theme docs, right side of the page under the ‘ads’ section.

so, by the example in the theme docs, for a custom ad using a local image you upload, you’d need to put in your own HTML code, as per the EXAMPLE:

Hi Thanks for the advice. It certainly loads faster with out the Lazy Load on the front page. I still have the other issues of the tweet/count button taking to long to load and that all the social buttons have gone from the front page excerpts since the upgrade….they were working fine until the update. The tweet button takes about 6 seconds to load look at this post for an idea.

It leads me to another question regarding to big-grid-3. Please check the following picture on the left part: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11438257/13-10-2015%2017-28-27.jpg

1) The letters of the first line stick on the main picture. That’s strange, since there should be some empty space above the first line, as in the three other parts of the block.

2) The darkened banner under the text doesn’t reach the end of the dedicated space. Here again, unlike the other parts.

Are those bugs?

ok I added the code you suggested to the custom CSS. There was already other custom CSS there from a past problem we tweaked to keep the ad and logo on the same line – here is the code i have now

body.td-animation-stack-type0 .td-animation-stack .entry-thumb, body.td-animation-stack-type0 .post img {
opacity: 1 !important;
}

}

The margins on the top and bottom of the logo are a little off.

Can you tell me how it looks on your end and if I should tweak the code additionally?

Thanks for the reply, but how dare you call WordPress pesky 🙂

It is not the typical stripping of HTML tags that I am speaking of. It is the way that the Theme displays post content within the blocks.

I am trying to embed the standard WordPress audio player:
[audio mp3="http://domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/song-title.mp3"][/audio]

On the front end, within a block it simply displays the URL instead of loading the player:
[audio src="http://domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/song-title.mp3" /]

I know that the Theme strips some of these shortcodes. I’ve seen the function in the files before, but I can not remember where.

Any other assistance is appreciated.

You might share screen shot of your ad panel, showing the setup for your article ads.

Also make sure you clear your site cache, any CDN caching you’re using, etc. — otherwise changes not seen.
