Hi Catalin,

I am needing more data for the ads to get reports with clicks, impressions, etc. With Google ads it is possible to get this in the adsense panel. But with custom ads in this theme we can’t get this.

And Another thing, we are needing give access to a user without admin privileges, add a banner without take control of the wordpress newspaper admin panel.

There are some plugin for this kind of things?.

I posted on other thread and just wait for an answer on the attack but for a restore, please wait for Tagdiv. I am not the best to answer for restoring website but I still think that admin user needs changing for protection.

Thanks for your reply. I am using a sticky sidebar so this could be whats going on. After getting in touch with adsense i can confirm some other violations.

1) Sticky menu is not allowed. If any contents of the main menu cover an ad it’s against policy. In my case there was a drop down menu AND the menu was sticky which was a double violation.

2) Content before the fold. I was using style 11 for all of my posts. This style results in an ad before the fold, but 0 content. Which in googles eyes means you are sending visitors to a page with nothing but ad content. This style cannot be used with adsense.

Sure. WordPress doesn’t have an option like that. You could likely setup some custom CSS with a javascript sniffer to swap out a different stylesheet without the mobile elements, much like the commonly used js which was used by many to swap out stylesheets to load different size fonts/sizes dynamically awhile ago.

Yes, you could setup a “custom” “page” template which loads an alternate stylesheet without the @media queries for mobile, so that there are no mobile styles at all. Just create new template for a page like “custompage” and then use normal WordPress practice for the custom page templates for that.

See the WordPress codex on how to build a custom page template to load automatically for a specific page, such either by name or page ID. For posts it’s trickier.

Much simpler to use a browser like Chrome where you can specify to “request desktop” version.

You might also be able to use built-in WordPress “if/then” logic to do something like “if post ID XXX, load style2.css, else load style.css” — but then you’d have another if/then query on every page; might work if it’s not a permanent thing. See WordPress codex on how to construct an if/then statement in your header.php template to do that. Then just clone the default stylesheet and remove all the @media queries for mobile.

Alright, I’ve been reading a lot of websites regarding this issue. What I don’t understand is how this started to happen… but ok.

What I’ve done is trying that suggestion in the .htaccess but nothing happened.

Then I installed a plugin ‘SSL Insecure Content Fixer’. That managed fixing actually a lot.

What remains are some errors of mixed content aiming at images, for instance:

Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.gadgetgoeroe.nl/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘http://www.gadgetgoeroe.nl/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/gadgetgoeroe-logo3.jpg’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.

Would I really need to (re)upload all the pics? Merely adding an ‘s’ after ‘http’ in the theme panel > header didn’t work. And what about all the other pics used in all my posts?

Ok, but when I disable that plugin it still loads slow. I think you have implemented custom css in wrong position. Is there another solution to this? I do not have to use speed booster plugin. But I don’t want to write to style.css because when I upgrade theme, my css settings will be gone.

Just thought I would say I checked your link provided and everything looks fine on my end. Nothing is missing and everything loads up fine for me.

I will let Tagdv finish this if you continue to have issues.

Could try deactivating all plugins except Visual Composer and refresh cache and see if that helps and reactivate one by one a plugin until you see which one is causing the issue, otherwise like I said it looks fine on my end.

I’v found a plugin for the background managment, but when i click on it, don’t open the link.

They say:

If you added a background ad to your site but the link is not working it means that your theme has another full width container div above the main body. You will need to find out the ID of the specific container div and add this to the Background Container field in the shortcode editor.

If you can’t find the specific container ID please contact your Theme developer.

They will recommend you use the updated version they offer with theme update but if you want to take a chance and get the free update that they are offering on the Visual Composer page here:

It is a free security update they are offering to everyone even for those themes including it.

Tagdiv will tell you its not tested yet before they release it with theme but I am currently using with no issues and for the missing design options.

You need to go into maintenance mode and deactivate theme and use default theme like Twenty Fifteen or similar theme and then go to Visual Composer dashboard menu and it should show the design options and just resave the options without changing anything and reactivate Newsmag and that nag will be gone.

As for tabs on the new v4.8.0.1 on the Visual Composer link above. That element loads up just fine for me and lets me set options for it. It also looks like the same tabs element for the older versions too.

Can’t answer for the design options in the tabs element since I never done that before.

I hope I covered what you were asking otherwise I am not sure what you meant and I am sorry if I got that wrong.

I don’t see anything for bold on title in tabs element either.

ok, i was able to hide the top header ad by modifying ads.php file in the “header” folder and the code i used is this one:

But i really can’t understand what to do for the sidebar.

I think the code to be used should be something like this:

			}

where “hide_ad_all” is a custom field i just created only for top header and sidebar ads and because i’m using custom ad 1 in the articles’s sidebar but i don’t understand where or in which file to paste this code. I tried with sidebar.php, td_block_ad_box.php and others but with no results.

You can only notice the strange displacement of the website when the 728×90 “Navy Ad Campaign” leaderboard is present next to the logo. Also the ad size is no different then any other 728×90 banner we use in that same ad slot but those ads don’t displace content on the website.

I did notice that 728×90 “Navy Ad Campaign” ad giving us problems has only one noticeable difference from others. The banner is visually interactive and it expands when touched by a user’s browser, I am assuming that’s the reason why this happens?
