Hello,
You can create a custom author template in the tagdiv cloud library plugin and apply it to your author pages in the templates area. You can then create the template exactly as you want, without breadcrumbs or author box element.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can use the new cloud library plugin available since Newspaper 8.8
It allows you do to just that.
The following example shows how to import a single post template but the method is the same for category templates: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Thank you!
Hi,
With the tagDiv composer and Cloud library plugin you can now design post templates from scratch (blank template) or modify imported predefined templates of the cloud library.
So you can design a post template with what elements you want in the sidebar
– http://prntscr.com/k6ydj5
Thanks
Hi,
Editing actual posts with the tagDiv composer would not be possible, you can edit post templates however
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So you can create a post template with the composer and place what elements you want in it. Then apply it to one or as many posts as you want.
Thanks
Hello,
You can use the new cloud library plugin to create templates for your posts and set the layout you like in the tagdiv composer page builder. You can implement a column text element above the tags with the text you need.
Thank you!
Hello,
There seems to be a broken html on that post page causing the sidebar to break.
Please check any custom code added to the post or any html tag left open n the pot content in text mode. Alternatively, plugins can also cause this issue so please test without plugins as well. ‘
Using VC on posts is not a recommended way of using the page builder. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
The tagdiv composer on the other hand can be used using the cloud library plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Thanks
Hi,
The category pages will display latest posts on initial loading, that cannot be changed. Uses can sort the posts if needed using the filter
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5H6nQLOC8
Al oldest posts sorting does not exist for that filter at the moment. Only blocks and grids would have an oldest setting.
Maybe you could design category templates with the Cloud library plugin and the tagDiv composer and use blocks and grids sorted by oldest instead of the category top grid.
Thanks
Hello,
I get 503 error when this plugin is installed. Help please.
Dear sir, I am using one of the cloud library’s single post template. I tried to use page Break code inside long post, it breaks the page but doesn’t show the pagination menu like 1,2,3. Please help. One more queries. Can you tell me how to use any third party plugins inside TagDiv composer?
Glad you fixed the issues. The most common cause for theme or theme page builder problems are insufficient resources
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
All the theme demos are created with the tagDiv composer, this is the main page builder at the moment. Most features provided after it’s release are connected to it, most upcoming new features will be for it.
The newly included Cloud library plugin works only with the tagDiv composer as well.
Hello,
Starting from version 8.8, we introduced the Cloud Library plugin which allows you to create post templates using the tagdiv composer. Please check this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/ The tagdiv composer an now be used not only for posts or pages but also for categories, author templates, search templates, tag templates, date archive templates, etc. We are constantly improving the tagdiv composer possibilities.
Thanks.
1. Are you saying that in order to prevent the theme from crashing upon update, I have to deactivate the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugins? I see the tagdiv composer plugin but i do not see a plugin called cloud library.
2. Another strange thing in my dashboard that might give some clues as to what the problem is: where it lists the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin, it says it’s version 4.5.3 and doesn’t say that I need to update it. Also, on the left side, on the black vertical sidebar of the dashboard, it just says Visual Composer, not WP Bakery Visual Composer
Thank you!
Hi,
We recommend the tagDiv composer as the page builder. Also as of late, it can also be used to design post templates, category templates, author templates, etc
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Of course you can choose to use WPBakery, we will provide updates for the plugin.
As a note you should consider, future updates of the theme will contain new features or options that may not be possible without the tagDiv composer.
Other users may share their opinions in the matter, what they use and why.
Thanks
Hi,
The WPBakery version provided in the theme package is 5.5.1 I made a few tests with it but it seems to work same as before with the theme
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Y4vTtHOPBPE
– https://www.screencast.com/t/EbuUy0g4asm
Be sure that the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugins are deactivated or there could be problems with WPBakery. After you update the theme the composer will be activated automatically.
Thanks
Hi,
@havardkrislok You can design post templates as you wish now, with the introduction of the Cloud library plugin the tagDiv composer can now be used to design post templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
We provide some predefined post templates (these can be edited by you), or you can design your own from scratch
– http://prntscr.com/k499qa
Hi,
It would be if you include the form in a post template. Design the template as you want with the Cloud library plugin and the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Include the contact form in the template, then apply the template to the posts you want. The contact form shortcode can be entered in a columns text for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/SA0G6t7iXwY
Thanks
Hi,
From what I can see you are using theme version 8.7.2, the cloud library plugin was introduced in update 8.8. So you would have to update in order to use the plugin, latest theme version is 8.8.2. Here you can see the changelog (bottom of the page)
Also an update guide you can follow here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thanks
Chiming in here to report that I also experienced this issue. I didn’t realize that it even was an issue until I received a Google Search Console error email for my site. Extremely frustrating. Disabling the cloud library reversed this issue instantly.
I’d also like to add that from time to time, the plugins associated with the theme (like AMP, tagDIV Composer, etc) turn off without notice or warning, also leading to more Google Search Console errors.
I auto-respond to indicate that after disabling plugin tagDiv Cloud Library, the AMP pages have returned to normal operation… You should check this behavior.
Hi,
So something like an inherit capability of the ads between the category and the posts. That is not possible with a theme setting. Ads have to be set manually for categories and posts.
With the new cloud library plugin, you can now design category templates and also post templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So you could design a category template with the ad boxes you want. Then design a post template and use the same ads.
In category templates you can set with the composer ad boxes
– https://www.screencast.com/t/RvHAWwkGW
In post templates you could add the same ad boxes and also in content ads
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jrJ1l6iv
Thanks
Hi,
Those category pages are created by default. You can use the default templates for them or design your own category page templates with the cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So you can create templates for categories with the tagDiv composer.
I could’n t say what would be the best option here if you still want to go on with it, maybe you can research this more online. But the easiest would surely be to use the normal category pages, especially with the new options. No hassle with redirects or other issues that may happen if using a page.
Thanks
Hi,
We are aware of that issue, it seems to happen when our Cloud library plugin is active. It will be fixed as soon as possible.
But note that you can create pages with the tagDiv composer just like with the regular WordPress editor. There are many elements to choose from. For example text elements which use the same editor
– https://www.screencast.com/t/TNlVbaCkhAE
The column text for example has color settings, as well as font settings which will apply for that specific element. So you can create text sections even better than with the regular editor, with these additional settings.
Thanks
From what I can see you are using theme version 8.7.2 in that version the setting was not yet implemented.
If you don’t want to update I could give you a code to chnage the links colors for the inline text, like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cOYXcJcgIu
Use any color you want, the code can be entered in the Theme panel->Custom CSS code section
.tdm_block_inline_text a {
color: yellow;
}
If you decide to update the theme to the latest version, this is a guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Check the changelog here (to bottom of the page)
Note than since 8.7.5 the multi-purpose and tagDiv composer were combined into a single plugin. Also the Cloud library plugin was introduced
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Hi,
In the blocks a post will be represented by a single category tag, it’s primary category. Each post has a primary category, more about this here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
In the post pages you can hide any category, in the per category settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/a3f6Scn6kg
Or using the Cloud library plugin and tagDiv composer, design a post template as you want starting with a blank template, or import a predefined template (this can also be modified)
In these templates the category tag element has a limit you can set
– https://www.screencast.com/t/N6hNUp0ra
This would be a solution to limit the number of categories as you want.
Thanks
Hi,
The tagDiv composer can be used on pages, and as of update 8.8 can be used to create post templates with the Cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So you can place in a post template anything you want that is available in the tagDiv composer.
Only blocks and a few other elements can be placed as widgets, not all of them.
Thanks
