Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is not by choice unfortunately. The theme has to be in accordance with the new Envato rules so these modifications were necessary. Moving the files into the composer plugin has consequences for the child theme as well.

@MKJ That is correct, sorry for the mistake. Maybe a solution will be found, we will make a guide if that will be the case. I can’t say what will happen at the moment, our developers will try to find the best solution.
The cloud templates don’t have PHP or code files, they must be built/edited in the composer. You can work on them with the composer in the front end.

@Tuudi You can edit edit the cloud templates, not the default templates. These are cloud templates made by us, they can be imported through the cloud library plugin

If the mobile theme plugin is active, what is displayed on mobile will be a different from desktop. For example the mobile homepage will display a top grid with 3 featured posts (if there are any) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Below that grid will be a latest articles section. The mobile theme is specially created for mobiles, it is faster than the default responsive theme version. Other pages will be empty on mobile, if there is no content entered in the mobile editor for each page

Regarding that border, from what I can see the top bar is empty (no login, no weather no socials etc). You could disable it entirely if you do not want to display any elements in it – http://prntscr.com/ng373y and the problem will be solved.

The “Read more” that the block uses cannot be disabled. You could use a different type of block, maybe a flex block (these have an show/hide “Read more” button setting).

It is certainly possible as it can interfere with the affiliate link if it ads nofollow to it. We have not tested that particular plugin so we recommend removing it and testing to see if the links are recognized properly without the plugin. It could be a conflict between the thee and this plugin. Did the links work before using that particular plugin? The tagdiv cloud library and tagdiv composer plugins are required plugins for the proper functionality of the theme tarting with version 9.7

So if I’m right you want the width/stretch of row to be the 1200px, if so then the simplest way to achieve this will be to create or import a full width templates from the cloud library plugin. There is no one single button push. You have to import a post style and set it as the default post template in the theme panel post settings, then you need to import a category template that is full width and set that one as the default category template. The same for tags, author pages etc:

Unfortunately as per the new envato requirements, https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements we had to move all of the theme functionality to a plugin. We chose tagDiv composer as it was a required theme plugin and most users already benefit from it’s features. It was the best choice to move the functionality to. unfortunately, having more than 1 page builder can have downsides indeed as in most cases there are elements that conflict with each other. Wpbakery is going obsolete as even the developer stopped investing in it so we decided it was time to work with our own page builder instead. What you can do is revert back to the previous version of the theme for the time being (you cna download the previous version from here: http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Newspaper-tf.zip) and we strongly recommend moving over to tagdiv composer as all of the theme functionality will be added through the tagDiv composer from here on. You can make the move slowly on a separate install so you do not affect your live website. You can create a testing environment and create the pages there over time and replacing the ones on your live site once you are done for minimum impact on the front-end. You will then be able to use the tagdiv composer instead of VC and benefit from all the functionality of the composer and cloud library plugins.

Please notice that you can create your own Category page when you will create a new category template using the Cloud Template Library, like a normal page with TD Composer. Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css (and the files that remain in the root folder of the theme) as envato requires all functionality to be added through plugins.

The rules are the rules. Our products are envato exclusive and envato made these rules very clear for all theme developers. Every envato theme will be implementing such functionality.

Every template can now be modified using the cloud library plugin so you no longer have to go in manually to edit the code.

I;m not sure what you mean since our theme has no sharing options for category pages. Only posts can have sharing options. Do you maybe mean the social counter plugin in the sidebar? You can create a custom category template using the cloud library plugin and set it for the particular categories you want to have the custom style on. In order to create a landing page with no header or footer, ypou need to have the cloud library plugin installed. The header manager will allow you to remove the header. In order to remove the footer, you will have to use this custom page template:
http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/page-empty.zip
Place it in the main root directory of the theme under wp-content/themes/newspaper
This will create a new page template called “empty page” This will be a page without a footer.

If you use an actual blog page – http://prntscr.com/nahun7 there will be no control in terms of filtering the posts that appear. All the posts will be displayed, sorted by latest (publish date).

However if you use a static page (built with the tagDiv composer)

The content can be displayed in blocks, grids etc. These have options for filtering

Also there are block and grid designs, sections and many other templates that can be imported and used.

If you have a category named “”Funnel” that category page will only show posts with that category. If you want to also create a page to show these posts, you can do that. Enter blocks and grids in it, filtered by that specific category.

I think that you do not remove the old theme/plugin

In order to work normally the new theme with all plugins, you’ll need to delete the old theme.

Please try to update the theme via FTP and remove/delete the old theme.
