Hi,
I installed (included content) the Art Creek demo. So far, so good. I bought the VC builder, so i disabled the tagDiv plugin.
When I open the home page I see only text blocks, with content like this: [td_block_image_box image_item0="34045" height="720" style="" image_title_item0="Art evokes the mystery without which the world would not exist."]. I think these are tagDiv shortcodes.
The demo is not the same as the example. There are no background images shown.
Is there a way to migrate from tagdiv to VC? the other way around is possible, I read.
Regards,
Bert
I take advantage of the topic to signal another very important feature to implement in tdComposer: it is to be able to save block presets.
This is very important because, especially in publishing a newspaper, you need to recall a preset for a specific publication in a simple way.
Thank you again for your attention.

I already updated Visual Composer and now I’m having trouble recreating homepage with Tagdiv Composer, because I only see code and nothing Visual anymore (td_block codes). When trying to open it with Tagdiv Composer I get “Errors happened during _initStructureData() -> _getData()!”
How can I read the code to recreate the homepage (as advised in another topic of Radu) with Tagdiv Composer. It’s not that easy as told. And will I need to recreate all other pages too I made with Visual Composer?
The Tag Div composer has broken all of the blocks that were added in the Visual Composer.
All I see in the Visual Composer are a bunch of [td_block] shortcodes.
Is there a way around this to keep using the Visual Composer and NOT have to switch all content over to use the Tag Div Composer? I have downgraded the Visual Composer to 5.1.1 that was included in your last theme package.
Hello Easely,
You should provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. Also, notice that if your page was made via Visual Composer, this page cannot be edited with TD Composer which is our new page builder. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
If is not what you mean, provide more details about your problem and provide some useful screenshots so I can identify the problem.
Thanks for the message!
Hi
I just downloaded the update but I don’t understand if this is the version 4 or not.
the visual composer was removed?
I didn’t see it into the plugin folder
where can I find documentation to change my home page using td composer?
thanks
Category codes and exclusions are showing in the Home Page blocks in Classic Mode. According to your colleagues at Visual Composer (WP Bakery), it’s your fault. What’s happening and how/when will it be restored to normal. /Users/Easely/Desktop/Screen Shot 2017-07-12 at 15.50.01.png
Hi,
We are aware of this issue with Woocommerce. It will get fixed in the next theme update. You can try the fix provided below and see if it is working for you.
Add this line of code in the wpeditor.php file located in the plugins directory td-composer->includes folder
– https://www.screencast.com/t/chJaSVGCWT
– https://pastebin.com/rTqTHfSa
Then the text elements should work properly

Thanks
Hello smga,
Ensure that you are using the latest theme version and also, only the required plugins which come bundled with the theme version. Also, if your blocks and Big Grids are added with Visual Composer and if you want to edit them with TD Composer, notice that you cannot do this but only if you will recreate them from scratch with our page builder. If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Thanks for your understanding!
i have to agree with storytraveller. i tried the tdComposer and while it can definitely be a replacement for Visual Composer, it still has long way to go.
While it may be already good for some, I believe that majority will have a hard time using it.
I will be waiting and monitoring its development and hopefully it’ll be ready soon.
Hello,
Posts cannot be edited with the page builder. It is only destined for pages. Posts were never intended to be edited with any page builder in our theme.
We specified this in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Now the new page builder does not have an option to be activated on posts as it was never it’s purpose. You an create beautiful posts in our theme without the use of any page builder:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-formats-for-tinymce/
As for the td composer error, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin so we can login and investigate the issue.
Thank you!
It would be useful (for example) to build a page with several lines (sections) with a first line with theme blocks and in the bottom section (row) two columns with text or other content (or shortcode), and still below (other row) other blocks or other.
This can now be done with Visual Composer, with no problem and all responsive.
This is just an example, and it must also be possible with tdComposer, to increase its great integrated system value, and the efficiency it has demonstrated.

We are using TD Composer on numerous high traffic news portals, and have been since it was in BETA. It works beautifully for us, once you wrangle the normal ajax usability stuff in browser. It allows us to make complex home page layouts quickly, simply, and make multiple draft layouts for testing/review, then go live with the version we choose — with low overhead, higher page speed (95 with no caching plugin), and much lower CPU/RAM use or system crashes from pokey Visual Composer.
For those of us who need lean “main features” and speed, it’s superbly awesome.
Thanks again, TagDiv team! Love it 🙂
Your native composer is a nice idea, but not yet ready for use. Most importantly: it strips Visual Composer layout elements, but then is not sufficiently customizable (e.g. has no 1/6 columns, only 1/3). Furthermore, I activated Visual composer for WP posts as well – now my posts layout is messed up, and td-composer doesn´t work with posts. Sorry guys, but had to go back to version 7.8.1.
Hello to all,
only a report and short considerations.
We are making our new site with your theme and much personalized code for our needs; everything works well and optimization makes great results on speed and usability.
You can see the development at http://deb.radioradio.it (the content is real but test). The layout has yet to be decided, next week will be published at the definitive address radioradio.it.
We loved your work with the latest release (8) to create a native composer; In fact it’s even better than optimization and it seems to work fine.
Despite this, your composer is still missing some features, options, and widgets, very important for a modern and flexible layout.
For example, there are missing boxes, spoilers, accordion, tabs, icons, and other small items that sometimes seem useless, but contribute to the site’s appeal.
Then, very important, it is not possible to make (for example) a two-column (obviously responsive) page layout, or divide the contents of a column or row into n-columns; These are all things that can now be done with Visual Composer.
Still, you can not insert third-party shortcuts that are available in the text editor (probably depends on some incompatibility with the frontend editor).
Sometimes for a more general view, it is better to see the backend scheme (such as VC), which can not be done with td Composer.
We understand that in most cases you do not need to use these options / features, and may be harmful if someone is using them badly, but there are layout circumstances that need them.
For this reason, although we really enjoy your work, we prefer to stay in Visual Composer, hoping that in the forthcoming release, you can implement those features that are missing from your tdComposer today.
Thanks for your great work.

When I watch the youtube demo there are many elements that you can pull into your project, when I open it I have a very limited toolbox of 11 only, how do I get more?
thanks for the reply bogdan.
no errors at all (other than i can´t activate it which i reported on another post).
it has been a long weekend of battle against the theme, but i´m pretty well there now. some specific quirks still outstanding.
i can´t get any full grid to work for example so i´ve had to go boxed. doing my best to go with the tag div composer, but i´m really not feeling it.
worst of it is that despite having less on homepage now than in old theme, my pagespeed has slumped from 85 to 58 desktop – and the 58 is having worked super cache settings beyond your theme recommended which were giving me 51.
my feedback is that some more realistic notes would be better. the video and docs give the impression that the upgrade/switch and a new demo is a job to complete in minutes. It is hugely more complicated than that. It is a set aside a weekend job – and a good 10 hours of that could have been avoided with better documentation, a coherent start to finish tutorial instead of scattered docs and videos which leave you coming across essential info that you had no way of knowing existed until something goes wrong and you start hunting.
I hope you´ll take that to whoever decides these things at td
Hello Cosminc,
At the moment, the TD Composer is not compatible with Newsmag theme but in the near future will be released a new theme version and the TD Composer will be available with Newsmag. Notice that we do not recommend using untested plugins because all of these can break the theme, sorry! Notice that the Visual Composer is fully tested with the theme and should work as expected.
If you need more assistance in this case, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so I will be able to take a closer look at it and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!

Critical Problems:
* This file may contain malicious executable code: /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/includes/tdc_ajax.php
ok – great success 🙂 – it helped https://forum.tagdiv.com/blocks/
I still have some minor issues to solve :
– how to turn on the ads in the on the pages (trying to do in ads section of theme panel bit without result – trying to use all 3 post template style)
– how to change the category of posts displayed in first section above the footer (it is not editable via TD Composer)
Hello,
the TD Composer button is not show on my page, only the “live CSS” button. I have installed all plugins for the theme. Do you now what is the problem?
Roll back to prior version temporarily?
Also note Visual Composer (VC) and TD Composer (TDC) are two different things, if using TDC, not all the VC blocks are there and you’ll need to redo any layouts done with VC.
( I don’t work here; just some feedback. )
We’re also using the TD Composer in place of Visual Composer; limit loading external elements; moved to web-safe fonts vs Google Fonts, disabled comments, etc., minified the main style css file and main js file.
I am using the ‘scripts to footer’ plugin in place of Speedbooster; and then put critical above the fold CSS inline in the head.
I cover some of this in my long winded thread (second link above).
Totally doable; there is just a “tweaking” needed with any complex theme.
