Back again, this time with great news 🙂

Visual Composer does display CPT! This is our test site –> http://www.cele.si/new/td_d_slug_10/

All we need to do now is, to be able to pick up categories of CPT when editing block in Visual Composer. At the moment it shows only post categories.

Any idea?

These look different to your screen shot samples. Also in v4 you had 4 styling options you could select which is missing in v6 yet in the code they are still referred to? td-social-style-2 – Is there a way to select other style options?

2. The original link above shows a pdf with all the screen shots.

3. On a post without using the visual composer the shortcode option does not allow buttons to be added? Can this be done or made active?

I have registered Akismet, WordPress SEO Premium, WP-Optimize and OIO Ad Manager. Status of Speedbooster changed to “Active” but there is no change in the outcome. Like before, 2 Javascript and 8 CSS resources are still appearing as Render Blocking in pagespeed insights.
The blocking scripts include (i) jquery.js?ver=1.11.2 and (ii) jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=1.2.1
While blocking styles include (i) Contact-Form-7 (2) 3 Google fonts (3) js_composer.css? (4) Newspaper Style.css (5) Jetpack.cssand (6) OIO Ad manager.

Looking at the plugin code I can see that many of the styles are already moved to footerlike

si solo usas visual composer puedes dejar speed booster

Pero si tienes otros plugins que son incompatibles es mejor usar el above the fold ya que ese no es incompatible.

sobre cachear la db depende de tu servidor, si estás en un shared de nada te ayuda, si estás en un vps o dedicado puedes dedicar mas recursos a la base de datos o cachear desde el servidor lo cual será mejor que con un plugin

The only thing is what I don’t understand, if I use the speedbooster plugin (v4) of version 6.0 and comment out the return:

But if I use speedbooster plugin (v4.1) of version 6.1 and I do the same then the js_composer.css and styles are moved to the footer.

I should aspect that this should work the same, but in this case v4.0 was doing a better job.

On your demo website I see that you have the same problem: bbpress.css, js_composer.css, style.css are also in the head and not in de footer:

Are you also using the wrong plugins or is something else not going ok.
This problem I didn’t have with version 6 after commenting the stuf you showed in the screencast.com

This is the same problem I’ve been having since I upgraded and updated. The icons for editing individual blocks are not there. I can only move or delete whole blocks but not edit. Please help. I haven’t been able to use any of the really nice looking homepage templates.

I also have a notice on my dashboard that says: “Important notice: You have an outdated version of Visual Composer Design Options. It is required to review and save it.”

Any help to fix this will be appreciated.

Did you
a) turn off all plugins except visual composer
b) clear all your server caching if using that
c) reset your CDN if using that / cloudflare, etc.

Make sure you delete old TD plugins, old theme folder; upload NEW theme folder, new plugins (don’t ‘over write’).

Then go to your “page” for your home page and preview to see if works; if not, then try making new simple page with just list of stories, preview see if works.

Just thoughts on debugging your particular setup.

I couldn’t wait on a response, so I had to hack CSS for now.

Just drop this CSS into Visual Composer’s custom CSS on your homepage only, it’s under gear icon:

That did the trick for me.

I’ve turned off all the plugins and only have the retina plugin and VC as well as speed booster. Disabling all plugin even composer and speed booster it still produces the same issues.

Looking at the console I am seeing the following errors. What do these mean?

unfortunately I’m not able to resolve the issue. At this moment all plugins are deactivated except composer and I get

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_base_recaptcha_lang_code

I think I played too much with fucntion.php would be cool if someone would take a look and I think the prob for the jquery messages may lay here too.

EDIT: ok I commented the lang part out and now it works, somehow it was anyway double. The slider is also visible now though the thumbs and image are scaled too large, how can fix that one ?
On the jquery error before I assume I activate plugins one by one and see where the pain comes right ? and off I go..

Ok.
For the second point (block not in visual composer), you just have to go into the settings of VC and add the right for administrator
BUT, for the first point, you CHANGED THE SHORTCODES. Block are now like td_block_2 whereas they were td_block2 before. It means that i need to change all the shortcodes of all my pages !!!
So great!
