Hi there,
Following my previous post here : https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/essential-files-to-upload-for-update/, I am trying to upload only essential files for updates, in order to keep my custom design intact.
So I downloaded the theme, then I opened patch_2.3.1_3.0, to find that there are several files in here.
And my question is : do I have to upload all of them, or just a few are essential for updates ?
Thanks in advanced :).
I’m not exactly sure what’s happening, but after the latest update (V3.0) the desktop and tablet versions of our site seem stuck in mobile mode. The navigation menu is expanded and users have to scroll though that menu to get to the main splash page. Any guidance on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciate.
Here is our site address: http://www.alaskacommons.com/
Thank you for your help.
Don’t worry about that message. You will get updates to the Visual Composer the next time that this theme gets updated 🙂
Christian
Good afternoon, I received a message that I should update Visual Composer. Because I do if I bought the theme with this plugin installed.
Please answer !.
I noticed I put 3 lines twice in the code block above. Sorry about that. I cannot edit the post anymore.
Anyway, I managed to create a workaround. I installed a plugin called “Lightbox Responsive Images”, and added this code to the page.php file, right before “the_content();”
if ( has_post_thumbnail() ) {
$thumb_id = get_post_thumbnail_id();
$thumb_url_array = wp_get_attachment_image_src($thumb_id, 'thumbnail-size', true);
$thumb_url = $thumb_url_array[0];
?>
<div class="lightbox_featured-image">
<a href="<?php echo $thumb_url ?>">
<img src="<?php echo $thumb_url ?>" alt="<?php the_title() ?>" title="<?php the_title() ?>" />
</a>
</div>
<?php }
The class “lightbox_featured-image” must be set in the plugin settings. Works like charm. The plugin lightbox looks and behaves a bit differently than the modal window from the theme, but it’s good enough for now. And it doesn’t interfere with the theme’s modal function.
Still, I hope you guys add the modal window feature to page images as well, in a future update.

I did the update today and I’m having quite a few issues after the update.
I’ve completely deleted the theme and child theme folders and made sure the upload is a clean upload of the files to the FTP server, but still seeing errors.
1) The top header initially shows as blue and then changes to the correct color, orange. This never happened before and happens every time I refresh any page.
2) The events pages (http://mauimagazine.net/maui-events/) show a style problem where the text is squeezed and shows a big gap on the right side, making the whole page look long and bad. I have tested deactivating all other plugins and can see the problem is not a conflict among plugins.
3) My customizations to my child theme do not see to be showing properly – custom title tags for events pages generated by The Events Calendar Pro.
4) I tried using the mobile template plugin and it causes a whole bunch of errors. On the new mobile template, none of any page content shows. Just the footer content shows. And the events calendar page does not load any listings and gives this error message: nothing loading: wp booster error: td_module: td_module_mob1($post is not WP_Post
If 2 & 3 require me to get support from the premium plugin, I will go there. Since the theme change caused this problem today, I’m pretty sure it’s the theme code, not the plugin itself.
I already emailed support directly with my license code and login info, but I appreciate a reply or response to this and a followup via email.
Thank you.
I have been using the Envato Toolkit Updater for the previous updates (except from 4 to 6 when i did the whole import script etc.).
Is it safe to use the Envato Toolkit to update from 6.7.2 to 7.1.1 or is it better to delete the old theme completely and then just drag and drop the new one? I have a bit of css-modifications in the costume code and a lot of fonts and other settings withing the settings of the theme. How do I get these to come with to the new theme if i do the delete and drag and drop? Is it enough to just do an export theme settings from withing the theme panel (i.e. is the export made from 6.7.2 compatible with the 7.1.1 version of the theme)?
Sorry for lots of questions, just want the update-process to go as smooth and quick as possible 🙂
I updated to the latest version but the top banner is totally broken now. It’s a production site and I need quick fix.

At first i want to thank you for your reply.
Second iam going crazy in square now….
I did what you told me which was very logical (clear cash on Browsers)
But the result is the same (www.diorama.com/screen.png)
then i went to a friend of mine that never went to my site.(Bought a Galaxy s7 – two days ago).
Unfortunately the result is the same.
I also tested in an ipad with the same bad result.
My thoughts are over ….
I don’t know what else i have to do.
I must remind you that before the update worked fine.
The only thinking is that we are in different Continent …..!!!
me = Europe.
Sincerely.
Dinos.
Useful to look at things like the wp-config.php file where you can specify the uploads folder for images, which all core functions then pick up automatically.
https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Moving_uploads_folder
Wordpress official docs are great place to learn how core WP functions work. Most themes call standard core functions/paths and don’t set new paths unique to theme.
Also, you can set the explicit domain name in the wp-config file.
Note changing any of these does *not* change image paths already inserted into the posts or dbase. You must do a dbase search/replace to change that – it cannot be changed automagically anywhere else.
If an image was placed in a post at former domain, there isn’t any theme or WP setting to change that unless it’s dropping in featured image, where it *would* update. But anything “placed” into a post is there forever until updated in dbase.
Not sure that helps, just some pointers :-0
Iti scriu romaneste ca e mai usor. Inainte de update nu exista acest bug nici pe mobil, nici pe desktop. Problema e in css, acel pseudoelement :after din primul post are latimea specificata in pixeli, si are 600 si ceva fix, care pe mobil e mai lat decat viewportul. Am postat si fixul in primul post. Apare numai in templateul nr 3. Daca testati pe mobil nu se vede pana nu dai scroll in dreapta.
Twitter share saying “Don’t miss any updates from Nathan Fox”. For example here:
http://sportwitness.co.uk/bilbao-man-city-pay-laporte-release-clause-next-week/
The site is Sport Witness so who is Nathan Fox and how do I change this?
Thanks,
David
Hi
Yes you should get an email from envate when we will release next theme update.
Thanks!
Hi Support Team,
I have succesfully inserted ads in custom areas below the Menu and before the Footer in single.php using your instructions above. It works fine for version 2. Can you please give me an update for version 3? I see that the single.php has changed in the latest version of Newsmag.
Thanks,
Niels
Hi
You have to edit the file corresponding with the category template used and update the code: http://screencast.com/t/4ncVefqthdwj
Note that this is a complex task which require some customizations in theme’s code. We can’t offer customization services at the moment so if you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.
Thanks!
I completely support this question. Unfortunately this does not only affect mobile, but also the growing number of high definition screens like Macbooks etc.
The thumbnail images in the block look really blurred on my Macbook and this is a pity, because the overall look and feel of the site is suffering from it.
Is it planned to adapt the blocks to the new responsive image support provided by WordPress since the latest version (i.e. include different image versions via srcset)? Because otherwise I would have to rewrite all blocks, which makes the theme practically not maintainable anymore in case of updates.
i cleared all caches, purged CDN and did clean install from scratch for your theme. but problem still occurs. got this problem before last update and still have it :/
VC update to 4.12..
Will we be notified when there is an update available?
Hello failmuch,
Please try to disable all the active plugins, clear all your caches and leave just Visual Composer to active and check the results. I have checked you source page and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which could interfere with the theme and might create this type of unknown issues. So, if you problem is still there after these changes, please try to make a new clean install from scratch with the latest version of the theme and test the theme with the default settings and see how it will go.
Please notice that all the plugins are in constant development. Each plugin will have to be checked with our theme for a good working and this process it may take a while. For example, the latest version of Visual Composer is 4.12 and the latest version of the plugin which has been tested with our theme is 4.11.2. In the future, after our developers will check this latest version of Visual Composer with the theme and they will find that the theme does not need to do some adjustments for, we will release an update with the latest version of Visual Composer (4.12) and also, with Revolution Slider. Until we will release the update with these latest versions you will have to ignore these messages.
So, please notice that if you want to have the latest version of the Visual Composer, you will need to have the additional license of this plugin and also, we cannot say for sure if this version of Visual Composer will work 100% with the theme because this version it is in testing.
Thanks for your understanding!
Buna ziua,

Multumesc
On reducing the width of the block 16, the front page ibcm.biz under the menu. Previously, the width corresponds to 1 \ 3 of the page, and now small and difficult to read the contents. How to return the width?
Composer updated.
Hello zumaxb,
I suppose that you are referring to our Big Grid which displays all the featured posts in mobile theme, right? Please notice that our theme does not have such an option that offers you a way to change this functionality from the pane, sorry! Well, if you want to change this for the Big Grid and if you want to add some filtering, you will have to alter the code from the front-page.php core file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/zoGRNhsRaSm
For your second request, please notice that our new mobile theme has been designed to have very basic structure just to be very easy to use and fast. Regarding on AMP, please notice that we have added this request to our list of improvements and in a future update it is possible to implement it but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements, and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though.
Thanks for your understanding!
