Check out the Heartbeat Control plugin in the repo – set it to only work on post and page pages (on the backend for auto-save and such) and set it to 60 seconds (max); it’ll bring the admin_ajax.php issue down drastically, even with post and comment counts going. It hasn’t been updated in 3 months but works perfectly on WP 4.3 with latest theme; it’s not very version dependent.

Well, keep in mind some theme developers get swamped with RTFM support questions on how to use WordPress, how to install WooCommerce, and folks who decide to completely change their site layouts/design 10 months later and want another hour of free support to teach them how to do basic CSS fixes, or “where do I download my file update from ThemeForest?” — so, at some point there are good reasons for two kinds of support.

Presumably support for the THEME should be free; but basic “where do I log in to WordPress” questions really should be limited as folks need to take ownership of learning to use the platoform and stop expecting the theme to completely manage a website.

Just my two cents.

On the other hand, I’m not renewing my Canvas/Woo licenses, after paying for them several times over. Their last support ticket took 5 days for reply, and they didn’t provide an answer on how to fix something they changed back the way it had been for 5 years. Answer was, too bad, sorry, for something related to having sidebar visible on iPad portrait.

I’ve tested the current theme’s version (V 2.2) and works fine after update. Try to clear the cache, purge cdn file if you’re using and test again. If the problem persist so please provide more details or a screen that point the issue so I can inspect it. You can also try this without any plugins, leave just Visual Composer active.

@VicVik to change the distance from the top for more stories box only for mobiles it’s needed a js library that detect the screen resolution, and a new condition in scroll function. Here is the js code for scroll function if you want to affect it: http://screencast.com/t/3rn7GQoZs as I can’t offer a quick solution because this changes involve custom work. Unfortunately we cannot offer any type of custom work for the moment as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. I see the patch2.1_2.2 folder in theme however there are some files in there that I have done edits too.

If I update just the js_composer files would that work with my original installation from July 17th?

I don’t really want to update the theme files unless there is a security risk or simply doesn’t work and by the looks of it, it’s working fine atm. Just having that issue with the page builder glitching in admin.

Sorry, for confusing you with my bad English. I meant the Comments Section.
But with your Reply I found a very simple Solution which does exact what I Need. And without the Need of replacing CodeSnippets in the Theme 🙂

By just deactivating the “Show SignIn/Join” in Newspaper Theme TopBar I got it like I want it to work.
I discovered that the “Show SignIn/Join” Modal Open Window Function handles also the Comments Section with the Modal Opening Function in the Template.

Maybe the Modal open Window for Login/Join could be seperated in future Updates of the Theme like:

a.) Enable/Disable – Show SignIn/Join – for TopBar
b.) Enable/disable – Show SignIn/Join – for Comments Section (if disabled here, the Original WordPress Code is working (in same way as for now when disabling the SignIn/Join Function in TopBar) and other Plugins like UserPro can do the Job with Registration/Login by Redirection Function to the Register/Login Page)

So the Owner of the Website has more variations without the Need of manipulating the NewsPAper Theme Code. Just my two Cents 😉

For me personally this Modal Open function is not neccesery cause I´m not a really Fan of it. Because of the fact that Mobile Handys showing the Modal Windows differently and sometimes if a User zoom in a Page the Modal Window are going invisible in some Scenarios.

Not sure where you want to use the default WordPress login. Thanks for your answer, but as I said, with only the style.css file in my child theme, I do not know how to update it ? Or you mean that I have to replace this one, with the one from the /code folder, and in parallel copy the content of my child/style.css in the custom css area to keep what I done ?
I looked the https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ link but it does not say how to update it.

Sorry for my question, but I prefer to not do a mistake 🙂
