Just a quick update on this. I decided to opt for Header Style 12, instead.

One question: What is the CSS class for the background color of the menu’s ‘hover effect’ on Header Style 12?

Can’t seem to locate it.

What should I change?

Yes, when you move to a NEW theme, you need to redo your menus for the new theme; sidebar widgets get moved to “inactive” state due to how WordPress works and some CSS has changed … it’s basically a NEW theme. But you’re not obligated to use it; the old v4 isn’t going to stop working. The only reason to upgrade to the NEW theme is if you want all the new features, new grid, new functions, new CSS, etc.

There is no 1:1 upgrade from v4 to v6 just as there would not be moving from any theme to another.

To use the new theme you need to upgrade per the instructions, then adjust and refresh certain things to fit the different layout, new menu options, and so forth.

One option is to clone your existing site into a sub-domain, then do the upgrade, revise things to work with new theme then move over the settings to your production site — this is how it’s done for most professional settings.

(I am not on staff here, and won’t be providing any help after today in these forums, but I was checking on something else for my own use and thought I’d give you that feedback — its not an update, it’s a whole new theme …. hence the issue you’re running into …)

I will investigate this and I will try to add a class_exists for the three classes in the next version (1-2 weeks) for the following classes td_menu, td_tagdiv_walker_nav_menu, td_nav_menu_edit_walker . I did not managed to fully understand the consequences of such a change now because we are all replying to support requests 🙂 but I think it will allow full menu customization. (or if we include the files with locate template – that should also work).

Any update on this now that v2 is out? Can we alter files in wp_booster folder via child theme or the API?

Ок. Спасибо за понятный ответ. Заметил, что во многих темах не поддерживается функционал CPT, только если он не был разработан под ключ специально для темы, например, Portfolio, FAQ и др.

Будет просто отлично, если у Вас получится совместить функционал темы и CPT! 🙂 Это позволит значительно расширять и усложнять разрабатываемые сайты на WP для воплощения самых разных идей. Попробую подождать обновлений, а пока пожертвую блогом, чтобы реализовать задуманное.

У Вас получилась действительно классная тема! Я был сильно удивлён, когда наглядно увидел, как на самом деле быстро может работать сайт на WP. Кстати, на одном из своих сайтов в качестве конструктора страниц я давно и успешно использую Page Builder by SiteOrigin https://wordpress.org/plugins/siteorigin-panels/ который является достойной альтернативой Visual Composer. VC, хотя он и классный, я не люблю из-за его медленной работы, которая плохо сказывается на всей скорости работы сайта. Но вам удалось каким-то образом его правильно оптимизировать и это действительно круто! 🙂

Ok. Thank you for your clear answer. I noticed that in many themes is not supported functionality CPT, only if it was not designed specifically for the turnkey theme, such as, Portfolio, FAQ, and others.

It will be just fine,if you get to combine the functionality of theme and CPT! 🙂 This will greatly expand and complicate the developed sites in WP to implement a variety of ideas. I’ll try to wait for updates, and sacrifice is a blog to implement its plans.

You get a really cool theme! I was very surprised when I saw clearly, in fact it can work quickly on site WP. Incidentally, at one of its sites as a constructor of pages I have long and successfully been using Page Builder by SiteOrigin https://wordpress.org/plugins/siteorigin-panels/ which is a viable alternative to Visual Composer. VC, although it is cool, I do not like because of its slow work, which is bad for the whole speed of the site. But you managed to somehow it properly optimized and it’s really cool! 🙂

I don’t use CDN.

Ok so I deactivate all except tagDiv Speed Booster & VC.
After 404 on the post pages, now it is ok for photos on computer and mobile.

I reactivate first WP Retina 2X and photos stop showing on mobile! 🙁

So I reactivate all the other.

Another test in webpagetest.com and it still say that the file your show that is missing.

I didn’t touch anything about the theme files!

And I just check your files: in that update there is no more the js_files folder.
So how it is possible my site try to reach it (I find nothing in the htaccess)?

All the rest is really very frustrating,

You discontinue updates on a version I bought due to particular features you had and release a newer version that no longer offers the same set of features??

• I followed the steps on that guide you linked too in the first place (removal of the old version + older VC plugin, installation of the newer version & plugins + the update script which led me to this point
• The previous version had some problem with Multilanguage but eventually I found I could rectify any small issue using WPML (which also cost extra) – but made everything work perfectly.
• Old RTL support needed some work on the CSS side – but I also had that fixed rather easily but that’s about it.
• I haven’t done any other unique changes to the old theme 🙁

I can also see the post and the categories in the admin so – the data was not effected it seems like the modules don’t handle the structure in the same way and the fact you say it was rewritten suggests that may be the cause and you may be able to solve this.

Since I don’t have the skills to fix this myself which was the whole point of buying a theme that supported what I needed to begin with – please help me understand if this is something you think you can resolve or I should start looking for another theme?

Great it is working now. Updated from 6.1 to 6.2.1.
